Apparently they no longer do that. I was more than happy to buy five or six loaves of different products, but I needed that hand sliced and put in a box. The answer was no. I guess they'd rather not have any sale Than to accommodate a customers needs that are very simple to accommodate. There were no other people in the store, they were not busy and they definitely have a knife for slicing bread. I wound up going to a different local baker who is more than happy to do this for us.

Then I saw their gorgeous bread stand and prep process, I had to immediately have it! The stand specializes in sourdough. I purchased heritage sourdough bread loaf ($12). I also sampled gochujang peppery sourdough, which was so delicious, peppery, and with a little spicy kick. One could also purchase half a loaf for $7. Other items on the menu include buckwheat cookies, mixed berry muffins, and baguettes. Few items were sold out. The bread is very fresh. Service was very friendly. The girls working the counter pleasantly explained bread flavors and answered my bread questions. I'm a sourdough addict, tried many bakeries and private bakers. This is one of the best breads in the city to me. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fresh, soft on the inside, tasty, and aesthetically pleasing. The price is really good compared to other artisan breads in the area. I can't wait to come back and try more menu items! I'm super excited about eating my sourdough!

At around 11am, they were already out if most pastries and desserts but still had a lot of sliced breads available. Thanks to the helpful staff, I picked up a 1 lb loaf of the European Rye (the bread that started it all decades ago) and a cinnamon twist for a treat. Now this is what real bread tastes like! Most of their bread is sourdough based and tastes heavenly. I had a slice of the European Rye to test it out before bringing it home to my family. It was so good, I almost don't want any of my family to have it! The cinnamon twist was gone in a flash. A few seconds in a microwave and the heavenly aroma was all over the office. Both items cost me about $7 in all. I think those are great prices for great products! This place is a little off the beaten path (bakery is in the back... you'll see a cool 1965 vintage Chevy by the door) but it is very much worth the trip!
