I also appreciate there is a rack with half priced day old breads. When you have really high quality bread you can still enjoy it a day later. Quite a surprise to find such a nice bread bakery in a somewhat out of the way place. If you are in the area well worth a stop to enjoy some great baked goods and stock up.

Thanks to the helpful staff, I picked up a 1 lb loaf of the European Rye (the bread that started it all decades ago) and a cinnamon twist for a treat. Now this is what real bread tastes like! Most of their bread is sourdough based and tastes heavenly. I had a slice of the European Rye to test it out before bringing it home to my family. It was so good, I almost don't want any of my family to have it! The cinnamon twist was gone in a flash. A few seconds in a microwave and the heavenly aroma was all over the office. Both items cost me about $7 in all. I think those are great prices for great products! This place is a little off the beaten path (bakery is in the back... you'll see a cool 1965 vintage Chevy by the door) but it is very much worth the trip!

The girls working the counter pleasantly explained bread flavors and answered my bread questions. I'm a sourdough addict, tried many bakeries and private bakers. This is one of the best breads in the city to me. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fresh, soft on the inside, tasty, and aesthetically pleasing. Oh my gosh it smelled so good. Then I noticed how clean the bakery was. They bake right there and all the stainless steel was sparkling and the floors were SO clean. They always have a good selection of ready baked goods for purchase. They also have a sheet that you could order ahead and your items will be ready for pick up. The breads at Breadsmith are fresh and made daily. I don't come here often but I should. I love walking inside to the delightful smell of fresh breads. I first tried one of their breads, the Rustic Italian bread in January 2019 when I bought it from Nature's Oasis in Lakewood, a little cafe and convenience store (see video and picture below). I finally visited Breadsmith in October 2021 and I've been back a few times in 2024. I've bought their white Country Buttertop Bread ($6.75) which can be bought sliced or un-sliced. I've also had their Honey Wheat (I believe that's the name). Both tasted so fresh and good. After 3 days, their breads will start to taste stale because they are made without preservatives. Next time, I'll ask if I can get a smaller loaf of bread instead of such a large loaf because I can't finish a whole loaf by the 3rd day. They also sell muffins, cinnamon rolls, honey, etc. I haven't bought any of those but I've had their pepperoni roll before which was just fine and slightly expensive. I wish they sold croissants. Come here for the bread and stay for the friendly customer service. I'll definitely be back. The cost of all their breads are reasonable. TIP -- They offer a customer loyalty punch card.
