I am truly happy I went to The Lite House for my lights and fan. I was looking for a dining room light and they have large selection and found the perfect one. Went back the next week, and Jan helped find a kitchen light that compliments the dining room light and a beautiful fan for my living room. I had spent days looking and had no luck finding vanity mirrors that I liked and of course they have those too. It is unbelievable that a retail store like this is closed on a Saturday. And they rush out at 5:30 PM every day. The employees are nice and the deals are OK but you have got to be there to do business and if the owner has not figured this out yet, he needs to go back to business school. read more

Was looking for a light to replace the dud in my kitchen. Dawn showed me around and I was super excited at all of the possibilities. We looked at square, round, and rectangular lights, LED, fluorescents, and other things. So many things to see. But in the end I was a little disappointed. I came to the realization that nothing was going to cover the imprint of my old light fixture until I painted the ceiling. So although it was fun to look and imagine..... The Lite House is a wonderful lighting store, the personnel is absolutely delightful, helpful and no matter how long it takes for you to choose your lighting fixture/s they are eager to help. The lines they carry are top notch, great quality and they have great electricians they recommend for the installation. I have always bought fans at Lowes and have to say I am a bit embarrassed because the fans they carry are beautiful and instead of a fan it's like you have a sculpture in your ceiling. I have never cared for lighting, having gone to large lighting stores in NC or lowes of course like every one else. Lighting is lighting and I never really noticed. I walked into the Lite House and was amazed by the products they had on display, a huge variety from what feels like contemporary european design to country chic to modern chateau to princess bride. There is a chandelier for everyone, so many you can spend hours in their store getting lost in the beauty of them all! Their products are the best quality you can get and are exquisite. I bought several small light bulbs for under counter fixtures from a woman in this business as spares. We have multiple fixtures and the bulbs keep burning out. A few weeks went by and a bulb burned out. When I tried to replace it, I noticed the woman had given me the wrong bulbs, even though I had taken a burned out bulb to her when I purchased them. When I went back to exchange the bulbs, the same woman rudely told me she would not replace the bulbs without a purchase receipt. First, she gave me the wrong bulbs in the first place. Second, I was not asking for a refund, but an even exchange. Third, the bulbs were in the original packaging and it was obvious they have not been used. Lastly, she showed no inclination to work through the issue. Had she been more customer-friendly, I would have just purchased additional bulbs and chalked off the wrong bulbs to a bad hair day (the total cost to me was less than $12 and so was not important). Update: the owner of the store wrote me directly and apologized and promised to work with me. Again, money is not the issue, but customer service should always come first. I appreciate the gentleman reaching out and am increasing my rating to 3 stars. read more
