Friendly staff ,very helpful, competitive prices, Been shopping here for years. Perfect location.

This place has a great selection sith great prices and clearance deals. It is a bit cluttered. I haven't found it hard to find things personally. read more

The prices are great and the selection is as well but there's a huge problem. They don't accept out of state IDs. It takes less than 2 minutes to google an out of state ID and check it to make sure that it appears valid. I've volunteered at NFL, NBA, and MLB stadiums where I had to check IDs from several different states, and it isn't that hard; therefore, I expect a liquor store to be able to do that at the bare minimum. They claim they don't have a scanner (which would fix that problem), and even so "fake ids can still be scanned" They don't have to worry about my out of state ID ever again. read more

Go ahead and just ignore all the less than four star reviews those people are just Karen's expressing their butt hurt over not getting their way and obviously not telling the whole story. I've been going to this store now for the past 7 years never had an issue never had a problem never had a rude employee deal with me selection is always been there and the place has always been clean and that's pretty much the only place I'll continue to go read more

This is a place you can find some less expensive liquor, but the staff is NOT friendly! I much prefer going to the liquor store on stone road in the plaza with toys r us. The staff never asks if you need help, and the last time I was there, they were eating pizza behind the cash register and didn't even acknowledge I was standing there waiting for them to check me out! I don't expect too much, but jeez! read more

I have shopped at the Liquor Box for many years and have never been treated poorly. All the employees are friendly and say hello even as they walk past you. Always happy to help and will ask if you need help or at the register, if you found everything you need. Prices are reasonable and they always have wine specials. While people say it is small, I don't think so, plenty of room to move around and an amazing selections of brands. read more

This liquor store is in a really great spot on Mt. Read, and here is why: You have Aldi, Tops & Wegmans all in the same block, so you can get everything you need. I like that this place isn't foofy, and they have very good prices. I have found bottles of wine at this store that I wouldn't expect to, because it is smaller. I have spent a little over 20 bucks for three bottles of wine with 89-90 point ratings. They have a great selection, and are very good about putting rebates on the tops of bottles for you to save some cash. They have gift cards too, I got one for Christmas last year. read more

This is my favorite liquor store now. Their prices are unbeatable and the selection is pretty great. I always find what I need and then some. Gentlemen are always kind enough to carry my purchases to my car for me even! read more

I just was at The Liquor Box to stock up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of my buys was a box of wine. I went to the cooler to exchange my warm box for a cold one and asked the Employee (I wish I got his name) who was stacking more boxes in the cooler, why the boxes in the cooler are $3 more. He quickly stamped the higher price on my wine and said because I was a nice person I would except the error. I said I worked for Wegmans for 25 years and the customer was always right. I'm sorry liquor box but that was the last time you'll see me spend $100 again. I'll never buy another thing from you. It wasn't the three dollars it was the principle that the employee was so rude. Dear friends.... Market place is cheaper. read more

I agree with other Yelper! The staff is definitely NOT friendly. I needed a quick bottle of wine for Thanksgiving dinner and waited patiently for a few minutes while the tattooed guy was chatting with a customer. It was clear they were just bullshitting, so I asked for some help and if looks could kill! This tattooed guy rudely barked at me to wait and then proceeded to keep chatting with the customer. He just wanted to boast about how knowledgeable he was about wine. The customer had enough common sense to say no you should help the other customer, but the staff member actually persisted and said no let me help you with anything that you need just so he could avoid helping me and walked the guy to the cash register and helped ring him up although there was a cashier standing there doing nothing. WOW! I will take my business elsewhere! read more

Great prices and very good selection for a small store. Not sure about the previous comments about unfriendly staff, I have nothing but good things to say about everyone that works in the store. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

My experience, even before moving to new location, has always been positive. With the smaller store selection was somewhat limited but if you asked they would make the effort to stock your request. They currently do this at the new store. The girl in question in some very early reviews is no longer there as far as I can tell. The guys that are there are very friendly and helpful. I think their prices are, in some cases, much lower than the competition. Give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed and you might save a few bucks read more

I love the staff and helpfulness. Always greeted and treated with high priority and kindness. This is my go to place when looking for a particular wine for either cooking with or enjoying at my table or special occasions. Total trust with the opinion and help that I have received. I have trusted this establishment for years! Totally appreciate this place and thank them for doing what they do... cause they do it BEST!! read more

despite having a valid ID that won't expire for another 2 years I was denied service because it doesn't have a hologram, like every other license that hasn't expired since the state made their changes. That was a very belittling experience. My id was issued in 2012. Nys didn't change their IDs until 2017. Do the math lady. Educate your employees read more

Would give this place 5 stars because of its location and selection of wines but the staff is not friendly. Numerous times I have walked up to the counter and was not greeted with a hello from the heavy set lady unless i said hello first. Last time I went in and decided I'd give it a test and see when and if she would greet me but she never made eye contact with me at all and didn't even say thank you at the end of transaction. The gentlemen that work there are a little friendlier. A smile can go a long way people. I'm not saying not to shop there but don't expect excellent customer service. read more
