He suggested a small bottle of Pinot Grigio since I was only using it for cooking. It ended up being the perfect amount! We grabbed a bottle of vodka, gin and spiced rum. They have quite a selection. We perused the store for awhile. They have mini bottles for a buck. At the checkout, they have a cute little collage of their pets, one of which was in the shop. Super sweet little pup. Great liquor shop, but rules are such that they can't carry cups etc. Therefore, we had to make a second stop at Wegmans next door. So it's not quite a one stop shop.

Great selection of wine in Rochester, NY. They probably have one of best selections of Bordeaux…read more(First and Second Growth) in the nation. This can be attributed to the buying power of Wegmans and having a good relationship with the chateaus there. Also because Century was previously owned by Sherwood Deutsch, a pharmacist turned wine merchant who also had established close relationship with Bordeaux winemakers since the mid-1960s. Sherwood eventually sold his wine business to the Wegman family in 2007. If you go all the way to the back of the store, there is "The Sherwood Room" which houses a lot of their higher end wine. It's quite impressive to see as a self-proclaimed wine nerd. Anyways the selection is great and their prices are often better than what you can find online. They also have knowledgeable staff. John McMahon in particular knows his stuff regarding wine, so ask for him if you're in the store with questions regarding wine.

Being from the Willamette valley I love Pinot and the selection is outstanding- many favorites like Argyle, Willamette Valley Vineyards and Sokol Blosser.
