Very nice venue. We were fortune to get a beautiful early fall day for a wedding. I think there were about 200+ attendees and never felt crowded. Food was very good but probably could have used an extra bar set up. I heard people waited quite a bit to get a drink. Otherwise get place to get the fam together for a blessed event.

Now that I have fully recovered from an intense, crazy weekend, I can leave a review! Last year, I decided that we wanted to throw a surprise birthday party for my grandma! We visited many venues, but instantly fell in love with The Legacy Castle. I actually found TLC while I was driving through the area a few months earlier, and I remember asking what is that place, and saying that I'd love to throw a party there (and I manifested it!). Once we knew that we wanted our party to be thrown at TLC, we were scheduled for a meeting and did a tour. The entire venue is gorgeous! It looked like a royal palace -- very fit for my beautiful grandmother! We were in contact with Nicole, who made sure we understood every single detail of our contract and any questions we had. This party couldn't have happened without both Nicole and Camryn. They were pretty much at my beck and call; through the rollercoaster of emotions and my anxiety, they made sure I had all my questions answered, and swiftly. Even when they were out of office, they always tried to respond in a reasonable amount of time. Both ladies were very patient -- and trust me, you will need patience to deal with me, lol. Now, let's get to the day of the party. Since it was a surprise, we wanted to visit earlier in the day to take photos and then leave and come back later for the surprise. Lesly, Cesar, and the rest of the team were amazing at making sure our surprise was kept a surprise. My grandma was under the impression that we were going to only have a photoshoot and then dinner. We had two guests arrive an hour early, and they were able to push them away w/o my grandma suspecting anything. The entire team was super accommodating for us. When we came back, Cesar snuck us in the back so we can enter the ballroom through the kitchen and my mom walked in with my grandma. When we got to our head table, they actually had some cocktail hour food waiting for us (we asked them if they were able to save us some food). Lesly and Cesar kept asking me throughout the night if there is anything we needed or anything to make the event better, but everything was already so perfect. Their selection of food was AMAZING and delicious. The guests can't stop singing the chef's praises. Chef, whoever you are, thank you! My folks are/were very happy! I love how much the venue has to offer. I would recommend it to everyone. I couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate my grandma's birthday. It was perfect just for her and she loved every moment of it. Our guests won't stop telling us how much of a beautiful birthday party it was.

Spectacular decor and lovely entryway. This place impressed me. From the huge chandler and high ceilings down to the waterfall, grand stairways, wood bar, meeting rooms, event rooms, service, and staff. I could only dream of having an event there. It's where the rich and famous have their memorable parties. If your looking for a breathe taking location with its own overlooking lake. This is your venue. Staff told me they hold events for over 2,000 people. Keep this place in mind before making your selection. It's definitely a must see.

I partied like it was 1999 at this amazing venue! Actually, like it was 1920´s. Attended a Gatsby themed party. Awesome venue. Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Amazing service. Gréât entertainment. Real good food. I have no major complaints. Bathroom also beautiful. They are strict on timing though so as soon as 12 midnight rang, the table coverings and all were pulled from the tables. I found that a bit disrespectful especially for all the money that was shelled out. It's a very pricey venue and be ready to pay $$$$ per head but so worth it.

We started looking at venues for our wedding in May 2022. Although we leave in New York, we didn't like the venue that we visiting so far. There was something missing for us at every venue we went to visit. I was getting pretty tired after the fourth venue and all I wanted is a place to make me go WOW this is it. While I was on TikTok, someone posted a video about the Legacy Castle in NJ. I immediately forward the video to my fiancé. He called me and told me schedule an appointment to visit the Castle. When I arrived to the castle I meet with Michelle, she's wonderful and welcoming. I immediately fell in love with the Castle. Michelle and I came up with the perfect day for my wedding Saturday April 1, 2023. Although it was over 1 hour away from our home, because we fell in love with the place we book it April 1 for our big day. During our process to getting everything ready for that day, I realized all the vendors we choose needed insurance. All vendors must submit insurance papers 30 days before the wedding date if the don't have it, we have to purchase insurance to cover all vendors. Our DJ insurance did not include worker's compensation therefore we had to purchased a day policy for $300.00 (disappointing). Finally our big day has come, everything started beautifully, the staffs were friendly and welcoming. The bridal suite was very lovely and catered with fruits and champagne. Two of the staff members we were so pleased with Cesar and Ashley, words cannot even explain how wonderful they were. Throughout the day the power went out about 3 times and of course the generator kicked in. (I was disappointed by that) The food was amazing and the drinks perfect, Thank you Mr. Chef. The Legacy Castle is a beautiful wedding venue and small things they definitely have to consider of making changes to. The vendors insurance policy should not be so excessive and the power that kept on going out.

My husband and I got married at this stunning venue in September 2021. It was always my dream to get married and have a fairytale wedding, and having the opportunity to get married at the castle made my dream come true. The attendants were on top of everything. They made sure we didn't need anything and everything was in order. The guests LOVED the cocktail hour and enjoyed the aesthetic and atmosphere of the castle. We obviously chose the castle because of its stunning decor, and our guests had nothing but positive things to say. The downside to my experience was learning that my mirror seating chart was shattered and it's unclear how it happened. I never received an apology and only found out after I noticed it wasn't packed with my belongings. It's something I wanted to keep as it was very special to me. A suite for the grooms out there would be a great investment. My husband had to get dressed at the hotel since a suite wasn't available for him to get ready in. This is a short review that doesn't include everything I loved about this venue; however, I highly recommend it. The decor, substantial amount of food, and drinks will make any guest confirm they made the right decision by checking yes on their RSVP card.

    Thank you, Legacy Castle.

Our eldest son was married here on Father's Day 2022. It was a dream wedding. I think my daughter-in-love is very happy with her fairytale wedding. As a parent, I am grateful to everyone at Legacy Castle who worked behind the scenes to pull off a grand event. As a consumer, it would be my pleasure to recommend this venue without hesitation.

Everything about this venue is amazing and we would absolutely recommend. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and kind. The venue is breathtaking. We did a buffet for our wedding and I cannot tell you how many guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The service is amazing. It's worth every penny.

When we were planning to book a venue for our wedding I told my Wife lets go to The Legacy Castle and when you see the place I'm sure you will not want to book anywhere else. We sat down with Brandon and Michelle and after going over everything we wanted we decided to Book 6/4/23. Up until the wedding we were dealing with Camryn on the details of the wedding and everything that needed to get done with our vendors. She was very helpful and was even able to accommodate me with alternatives to my food allergies. Arriving on 6/4 we were taken care of by Caesar and Alexa and the service was 10/10. According to our guests the food was excellent and the service was spectacular. I can say I am somewhat of a perfectionist and I can usually find something wrong and I can truly say from beginning to end I did not have one complaint or wish I did something any other way? Thank you to the staff of The Legacy Castle for everything and I recommend this place to everyone. It really is a one stop shop for your wedding. It saves so much time not having to deal with taking pictures off site as well when you have a place this royal and beautiful. Thanks again for everything!

Bridal Attendant Talita and Maitre'd Jose went ABOVE and beyond to make me as the bride feel like Cinderella. They anticipated my moves before I even knew I needed to make them. They were courteous, respectful and had an incredible can-do attitude. 15/10 experience at the Legacy Castle due in very large part to Talita and Jose. I envisioned a beautiful fairy tale wedding and that is what we achieved together. A thousand thank you's; I'll remember this day for the rest of my life.

We always have a great experience-we love the cozy, quaint atmosphere of the tea room. We visited today for the Mother's Day Queen's Tea. I called to make a reservation 2 months in advance since they book up so quickly. In general, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, especially on weekends. When you arrive, you are presented with a prix-fix menu. On non-holidays, you usually have a choice between the soup or the salad of the day. You select your pot of tea from over 60 premium tea flavors. Today, I chose the "Paris" special tea, which had notes of vanilla, caramel, and bergamot. For the Mother's Day Queen's Tea, we had the broccoli and cheddar quiche, a pear, goat cheese, candied walnut, mixed green salad, scones, assorted mini sandwiches, and several mini desserts. Every course was fresh and excellent. The caramel scones are one of the best things I have ever eaten. They are served warm with clotted cream and lemon curd. The caramel is so goey and melts in your mouth. We brought some orange juice and prosecco to have mimosas with our tea. They have glassware in the back that you can request when making your reservation. The service is always top-notch. Holly is the best server! She is super sweet and always hardworking. At the entrance, there is a little gift shop with lots of cute vintage items, tea-themed trinkets, and some of the loose lea tea available in small bags. We love coming here and hope to be back again soon. BEWARE: Confirm pricing before booking…read more We had a 4:00 PM reservation on December 7th for 2 adults and 3 children under age 10, booked by phone. At no point during the reservation call, upon arrival, or during the meal were we told that this was a special holiday event priced at $60 per person, with no children's pricing, even for preschool-age kids. No menu or pricing was provided at the table. We only learned of the cost at checkout, which was extremely surprising given the pricing publicly listed elsewhere. We expected to pay $21.95 per child. Imagine our shock to be charged $60 (for a 4 year old who barely even ate anything!) That said, the tea itself was enjoyable, and we really appreciated their ability to accommodate gluten-free and nut allergies, which they handled well. The variety of teas was impressive. Afterward, I emailed the owner to raise these concerns and was told he would look into it, but I never received a follow-up. He said the pricing is on their website and social media but on their website it's buried in the events page and I don't follow their social media. I made a phone call and booked a tea reservation and didn't expect to have to cross reference multiple online sources for accurate pricing. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency and follow through overshadowed the experience and left us with a pour taste for what should have been a lovely holiday treat. Strongly recommend confirming exact price per person and asking specifically about event pricing when booking by phone, especially around holidays.

Being used to places like Illusions at the Sheraton Mahwah as well as the Limelight and Webster Hall, the NYE advertisement made it far larger than it actually is. Paid $100 for open bar and buffet - which is super reasonable but we would have preferred a table but none were available. Getting drinks throughout the night was not a problem - always prompt and friendly. The buffet was actually quite good which included jumbo shrimp, sushi, Spanish food , Italian, and lots of appetizers which were pretty good. In the beginning, we thought it was a bad idea coming as it was quite empty at 8pm. By 10:30, it was quite busy and at 11:30, packed to the limit. They served midnight champagne, party favors, and were quite well staffed. The BIG issues.... It was open bar. So I probably had at least 12-15 drinks. I would be normally plastered for drinking so much (and I don't normally drink very much). I just wanted a slight buzz so that I would enjoy the constant dancing. I always saw them pour at least 1 shot of alcohol per drink. I wasn't even slightly buzzed or drunk for that matter. Leads me to believe they watered down the bottles. I can't prove anything but the fact we drank so much all night with no effects leads me to wonder. Second, with hundreds of people and 1 women's bathroom with 2 stalls, my wife was was holding it in instead of waiting for a 30 minute + line. In the end, we did enjoy the NYE party very much. $100 is pretty reasonable but with alcohol issues, I would skip the place if that is important yo you.

Before heading over, we were actually about to buy tickets online since we saw there were still open time slots available on the website. Because we were so close by, we decided to just purchase in person instead. When we arrived, we were told they were completely sold out. This was surprising, especially since the website was still showing availability. I mentioned this to the associate at the register and explained that it was odd because there were open slots online. I said, "I would just go ahead and book it online instead. Thank you." At that point, it felt like she just didn't want to help us purchase a time slot but rather a membership for whatever reason. What was most frustrating was having to step aside and purchase the tickets online ourselves when the associate could have easily assisted us at the register. It felt unnecessary and inconvenient. We enjoy bringing our kids here, but this experience left us feeling disappointed. I'm not against businesses promoting memberships I completely understand that part. I work in retail all my life. However, I am against being told there are no available slots if that isn't accurate, especially if it creates pressure to purchase a membership instead. Transparency with customers goes a long way, and that's all we were expecting.

I proceeded to check the place out and decided to approach the bar. I ordered a drink and apparently the bartender made the wrong type of drink. I then waited there for about 12 minutes to try to get a hold of the waitress. Finally when she saw that I was trying to get a hold of her she asked me what I wanted and I explained to her my problem. She stated that it wasn't her problem and that I would have to pay for a new drink. Meanwhile the drink was right in front of me untouched and she still want me to buy another drink. I personally have never in my life had this type of experience. I asked her if I would be able to speak to the manager. The manager on duty was behind the bar. I was told that he would talk to me when he had a chance. He actually never came over to introduce himself. He ac never came over at all. I spent the rest of my night which was only another hour giving the place a second chance. No manager ever came by and left the worst taste in my mouth. I would never go to this place again. Any type of new business that can care less about the customer experience does not deserve my business or anyones for that matter. I will continue giving my business to other places that actually appreciate my presence and have customer loyalty.

Needless to say, the party didn't take place due to Covid-19. Upon checking our bank account we determined that XO Private Functions cashed our check on 3/6/20 which was the day after we were there and one month before the party!! With Gov. Murphy's restrictions still in place we contacted XO Functions and spoke with the owner. She indicated to us that she spent our deposit and does not have our money. What???!!!! A deposit is supposed to be attached to a contract not cashed the next day. They repeatedly ignore our calls and requests for our deposit to be returned.
