The food was yummy, but not extraordinary. Me and my friend had two special lunches, at 15 euros each. The "romaine hearts side salad" that accompanied my stew meat could have been a bit more fresh. The special lunch did come with a dessert, which was great. I had a tiramisu-style cake, that was very good, and the dessert presentation was excellent. There was one thing that was crappy, though. There is a nice old piano in the restaurant, with a book of "beginning" pieces. I play the piano, and with the book being there, I asked our waitress, "can I play the piano," to which she answered, "If you can play, then yes." I then went over to the piano, and, just to be sure, I asked the elderly woman waitress (owner?) who was at the front reception area if I could play. She replied, "No." And it wasn't a simple, "No." It was a nasty, haughty, looking-down-upon-me-like-I-was-vermin" no. Intonation and all. Eh, I thought. No biggie. I then told her that it is OKAY that I could not play the piano, but that it was a bit odd that a waitress had said, "yes," and yet I was just told no. To that, the old mean lady said, "Oh No," as if I was being silly. Hmm. I know that my rating should not be influenced by my not being allowed to play the piano, but the rating is for food and atmosphere and ambiance, and for the latter, the mean old lady gets a big fat FAIL. read more
