Food was ok and the service was slow. Waiter kept talking to hemostasis friends who would just pop in and say hello, slowing the table service to patrons. Had the ribeye which I ate but my wife couldn't finish because the cut was so fatty.. Disappointed as it's a quaint little place..

Excellent service and yummy food. I had the goat cheese salad, duck confit and a glass of wine. The salad was perfect - I would order it again. I wish the duck confit had some sauce with it, but it was cooked perfectly.

The fish & chips. Fish was fresh and light and flaky, the fries were... needing improvement.

This is a nice restaurant. The wait staff was very nice and friendly. The fish for the fish & chips was nice, fresh, light & flaky (they do need some work on their chips, they were dry and tasted burnt even though the color was good). The stuffed chicken on sourdough sandwich was really good. The stuffing was buttery and the chicken was cooked perfectly. It really was the best thing we got. Bonus points to the restaurant not being overpriced.

Nice menu selection with lots to choose from. They also offer a 2 or 3 course menu if u like. Tried the gigas oysters which were plump & briny. Also tried the mackerel appetizer which was tasty. We also had the mussels and place fish. All were fine while people watching this evening.

Delicious wine and a window seat at Martine's.

A great place for lunch. From the hake tempura appetizer to the potted crab (served on a slate tray, no less), and excellent wine to boot, Martines delivers. Lovely service, warm decor, good music selection to top it all off. I'd definitely eat here again!

    The bar area is gorgeous!

A solid choice for lunch for two. The food tested amazing, despite the questionable choice of tomato-based sauce for the fish. The hake tempura was mana from heaven though. My wife had the crab, and it also was amazing. The winelist is well chosen and carafes not overpriced. The only complaint I have is that the meal was not really filling - though my wife had no such complaint. Chose somewhere else if you are starving. Perfect for a nice meal though.

Duck leg was one of our all-time favorites. Wonderful goat cheese sals and comfortable, quiet environment.

We went on our recent trip to Ireland. We had a great experience at Martine's - try the green curry mussels. So good!

The space itself is small and cozy, with just a handful of tables and a private room, which gives it that intimate, tucked‑away feel. I'd 100% go back. They offer two specialty cocktails and a wine list, and while the cocktail selection is limited, the wines are unique and fantastic -- definitely worth exploring. The food was outstanding across the board. The monkfish scampi isn't what you might picture, but it's fantastic -- super crispy and full of flavor. And you have to get the bread: tomato focaccia or brown bread, then topped with the fennel, thyme, and maple butter were all unforgettable. The bavette steak was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were truly out of this world. The sea trout was incredibly fresh; just a heads‑up that the gremolata is spread over the whole dish, so it ends up almost poached in olive oil -- worth noting for anyone sensitive to that, but the flavor itself was excellent. Definitely end the night with the affogato and the shortbread cookies (chef's kiss). Who doesn't like to dunk their dessert? Highly recommend, would absolutely come back.

It reminds me of a country home by the water. The service was friendly and young. I got the plum salad, fallow deer, and roasted peach/caramel ice cream. The salad was spectacularly tasteful and fresh. I felt like the deer was a little too salty for my taste, but presentation was good. I was disappointed by the dessert. My ice cream was partially melted and the peaches were cold. I would give the environment/ambiance 5/5, service 5/5 and food 3.5/5. Overall 4/5.

The oysters with frozen apple and horseradish was one of the most creative dishes I've had. The duck hearts, while a bit bitter, were full of adventurous flavors. I had my first cruffin which is a fluffy croissant. The raspberry and lemon cruffin and the chocolate and coffee cruffin were the favorites. The vanilla and plum danish was also a winner. Loved the coffee here as well as the espresso was smooth and bold. I absolutely love the ambience inside. With the stone walls and candles, it felt like you were dining in a castle. With coffee shop music and art on the walls, you could easily spend hours here with a book and coffee. Very friendly service but not the place to come if you are in a rush. It is popular and meant to be a place to linger. Lots of people coming for takeaway as well and people were able to bring their dogs inside to pick up food but not sit inside with their pets. There are a few tables outside for seating though. Looks like there is also a tasty lunch and dinner menu as well but they sure know how to deliver on breakfast.
