As vegetarians, we really appreciate their vegan meat options. The portions are always very generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Rincon continues to be one of our favorite spots for a satisfying, veggie-friendly meal.

The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and really informative. They're happy to walk you through the menu and make recommendations based on what you like. It's also surprisingly vegetarian- and vegan-friendly, they offer vegan meats so you can swap them into a lot of the classic dishes, which is rare for a taqueria. The food is outstanding. Even the free chips and salsa they start you with are memorable: the chips are fresh and super crunchy, and the salsa has real depth of flavor, not just heat. The entrées are some of the best value around, the burritos are massive (one could easily feed two or three people), and for takeout, the quesadillas literally come in a pizza box, which tells you everything you need to know about portion size. Their appetizers, queso, and house-made hot sauce are all excellent and full of flavor, not just spice. Most times I've been, the service has been fast, even when they're busy. The interior is clean, colorful, and decorated with authentic touches, so it feels fun and relaxed whether you're dining in or just grabbing takeout. If you're searching for great Mexican food in Norwalk, big portions, vegetarian/vegan options, and friendly service, Rincon Taqueria is easily one of the best spots around. Highly recommend.

A genuine Mexican Bodega - in Norwalk. Here's something I…read moredidn't expect to find in CT - a good old-fashioned authentic-as-they-come Mexican bodega, complete with a tacqueria in the back where you can get some of the best tacos you'll find this side of Mexico City! So, it's like your usual Bodega - You order in the back (in Spanish. Otherwise they get flustered, and then go find someone who speaks English. Then again "dos Tacos al pastor" ), and pay in the front when you're all done. In between, you get wait for your tacos (or sopas, or plates, or whatever), and once you get them, load them up w/ whatever you need (lime and salsa for sure!) from the salsa bar, and then demolish the lot in a couple of quick bites! Do note, the orange salsa at the salsa bar is DOOM. Be warned. Then again, the radishes and limes help recover from DOOM. Anyhow, experiment if you can. The lengua and tripa are off the charts, as is, well, everything else. Do note though, the cuaritos and carnitas are pretty fried, so you'll need a lot of lime/radish/salsa to get it to the right place The bottom line though is that this place is legit. I've been looking for it since I left Chicago, and now I've found it - have fun!!!

They have tables and chairs if you prefer to eat there. The shop sells Mexican food and other related grocery items. When I entered, I was greeted warmly and ordered the Birria, Al Pastor, and Chorizo tacos. It took about fifteen minutes for my order to be ready. When I opened it, I was pleased to see the tacos were generously filled with meat and toppings. As I took my first bites of the Al Pastor and Chorizo tacos, I noticed the meat was a bit overcooked, almost burnt. Despite that, the tacos still had a lot of flavor, though the overcooking affected the texture. The Birria taco was decent but a little dry. The customer service was very friendly and attentive, which I truly appreciated. I might give their tacos another try in the future. For now, I'll rate my experience as 3 stars.
