This was my first time doing brow tint, but I was very interested in the brow tint with mapping, as I felt my latest eyebrows were very thin! I can't remember who I worked with, but she was so nice. I think her name was Laura? She was very nice and the vibe was chill. She walked me through the whole thing and was very patient. She wanted to go darker but I asked if it can stay more natural which felt better for me. I was about to go on vacation so I didn't want to risk it, but I probably could have gone a shade or two darker. It lasted about 3-4 days before it started to fade. I liked the experience but I'm not sure if this expense is a regular occurrence for me. I definitely want to try the lamination next, but not sure when. It's also a bit out of the way for me. I've gotten my lashes done several times in the city at those "lash bars" in midtown and I've never…read moregotten the amount of care or precision that Jewel gives to me. Jewel is extremely kind, accommodating and skilled. Her work does not compare to anything that the other commercial lash bars offer. She really goes out of her way to make sure her customers are satisfied. I've gotten my lashes done by her twice now and will continue to get them refilled by her as she really delivers. The first time I got my lashes done by Jewel, I got home and was not completely satisfied. I texted Jewel and she tried her best to schedule a time to see me before my trip in two days. Though she wasn't able to see me before my trip, she still accommodated me a week after my initial appointment date! Well past her 24-48 hours grace period! The communication at a point got frustrating as we tried to find a time that worked for the both of us. Once I expressed my frustration, Jewel called me immediately, apologizing and fitting me in her busy schedule late that same night. She is a busy individual (as she should be, she does great work) but once you arrive at your appointment, all her attention is on you! I definitely recommend to anyone looking to getting their lashes done.

She was very friendly, patient and explained everything really well. The appt took just under an hour. After it was done, I couldn't believe it was all my own hair. My eyebrows looked meh before but after one appt, I couldn't stop looking at myself. I fell in love with my own eyebrows lol Jocelyne gave me a little care pack at the end of my appt with oil and little brush to moisture and maintain the effect. It's been 2 weeks and it is fading slightly but still I like the way it looks.

Mieko san has the patience of a saint!…read more I've always disliked my eyelashes. They're flat, and don't curl. I've tried masacra to either have it come off or my lashes look exactly the same. I'd been wanting to try eyelash extentions for a long time, but I had no idea what it entailed or what it cost. When I called to make an appointment, the call went to voice mail. Meiko san called me back later in the day and told me she had an appoinment available for about two weeks later -- there's a reason why there's a waiting list for her! The day of the appointment, Meiko san sent me a text confirming the appointment. I slept in late, so I was late replying to her and I apologized. She was incredibly nice and said it was ok. I arrived at 1:30pm. Meiko san is this sweet, kind, petite person. She had me fill out a form with questions (similar to a flu shot form) to determine if I was a good candidate. My answers met her expectations, and she assignmed me a C length and 65pp for me, seeing as it was my first time. She explains everything and breaks down the pricing/process, so nothing is a surprise. She has you lie down so she can begin the process. The process is SURREAL. I assumed I would just shut my eyes. Nope -- and this is the process for eyelash extentions anywhere. Your botton eyelids are taped down and one cannot move/talk during the process. I suffer from anxiety and the process started making me antsy. Mieko san said that is normal for a first timer. I was beyond antsy and I kept squirming. Mieko san was incredibly nice and understanding and was chatting with me about her family and the business even though techincally I wasn't supposed to be talking. I know she did it to keep me relaxed and it helped. When she finished, my eyes had a surreal sensation to them but she said it is totally normal. I can't imagine going to another salon and having the tech get mad/ be impatient/annoyed. I'm sorry for being so difficult! She does INCREDIBLE work. My eyelashes look like something out of Hollywood. By the end of the session, Mieko san and I were talking about tv shows and cooking. She really helped ease my nerves. She was also so helpful with my questions/neurosis -- I was texting her throughout the day with my "newbie to eyelash extention" questions and she replied quickly and was just such a sweetheart.
