I apologized again and again and told her it was a technical error, and she keeps repeating her frustration at me, while she's laying into me, she uses severe heat and pulls at my roots. My stylist, Lucky, already canceled on me in December for a funeral, which I understood. But then in January, I rescheduled for a Wednesday, and a day later, I saw my appointment was changed in the system without anyone even telling me. When I finally got a hold of her, she said she was "on a movie set." I had specifically picked "Any Staff" when I booked so that I wouldn't have to deal with one person's schedule, so why was I being told I couldn't be seen? If you're busy on a movie set, you shouldn't be taking bookings from the public. When she finally "fitted me in" at 7 PM, the whole thing was half-assed and rushed. I didn't even get to pick my own glaze color; she just did whatever. I told her I was happy to finally get my split ends under control, and she just dismissed me and said, "everyone has split ends." I go to a salon for the experience and to feel seen, but I felt like I was just a nuisance she was trying to hurry up and finish. To make it even worse, my partner's appointment was also canceled last minute because the other stylist didn't have a babysitter. It's just constant excuses here. Then, when it was finally time to go, Lucky didn't even seem to know how to collect the payment. It was so disorganized and awkward. I still gave a 15% tip because I'm a responsible person and I value labor, but honestly, I feel like I was bamboozled. I could have stayed home and done the glaze and the cut myself for way less money and zero headache. I'm done with professional salons if this is how they treat people. I won't be back.

She's been in the lash business…read morefor well over 6 years (the length of time I am unsure but I know she has done exclusively lashes for 6 years and prior to that she did lashes and other services). She's located upstairs in a converted house that specializes in beauty/spa services. I found her through Groupon. I've only ever gotten lash extensions once for my wedding back in August. At the time, I had no idea what lashes were supposed to feel like. I had nothing to compare it to and therefore thought my first experience was nice. However, after going to Jessica, I realize that my first lash experience at the other salon was immensely subpar. With Jessica, I do not feel my lash extensions one bit. I feel 100% naked and natural. It doesn't hit my eyelid area and it is so natural looking. With the other place, I could feel that I was wearing eyelash extensions and you could visually see it. With Jessica's, the false extensions blend seamlessly with my natural ones and you cannot tell one from the other. With the previous service I got, there were 3 lashes clumped into one piece and the density of the lash were thicker and different looking than my natural ones so you could see the sparse areas where my natural lashes were and the clumped areas where the falsies were. In pictures, it looked fine but up close you could see the difference. With Jessica's, it is so extremely natural and comfortable. It gives me the boost I want without looking like I tried too much or overdid it with makeup. I didn't want to show up to work one day and have people look at me like "whoa! lashes." Jessica didn't need much explanation to understand what I was going for. She worked very professionally and the process took 1.5 hours. She asked me if I wanted the look of eyelashes with mascara (natural looking) and I said yes. I got exactly that! She chose the shortest false lashes she had, which were a little longer than my own.
