The other two times, different staff members took care of me, and even then, I had no complaints. Each time, the shaping was clean, flattering, and consistent. They are decently priced--I believe I paid $12 for my eyebrows, plus an additional tip. For the quality of work, I think it's very fair. It would be great if they introduced some sort of membership or rewards program for frequent visitors; that would definitely add value. The only downside is that every time I've gone in, there's only been one person working. The wait can be long, especially during busy hours. It would really help if they hired more staff to keep up with demand. Outside of the wait, though, the results keep me coming back. I went to Unique on a Friday at about 1:00, and it was busy. It was about a 20-minute wait, but there was only one lady working. She was friendly, quick, and attentive. After each customer, she wiped down the seat and sanitized her hands. She wore gloves and a mask. I wish I would have gotten this lady's name because it was pretty obvious she had a following. Almost all of the customers ahead of me and waiting while I was getting threaded seemed to be regulars. After I was threaded, the lady trimmed my brows, applied aloe for the potential redness and irritation, and then filled in my brows with some brow powder since she was too busy to give me a brow tint. Honestly, I thought the powder filler was a really nice touch. I don't know where she learned how to thread, but it's as if her touch was blessed by fairies or some otherworldly entity because she was so gentle. I didn't feel the thread raking across my skin, and I didn't tear up as the hair was being pulled out. I could barely feel a thing. This woman was a threading ninja. Pro tip: I was told they are always busy from noon to 2:00, and then 5:00 and after, so plan accordingly if you don't want to wait.

Also, I rarely wear makeup, so it was difficult to tell what exactly I wanted. I left that part up to Holly, to do what she felt was best for me. The appointment took almost an hour, and that time flew by. Talking to Holly was easy and fun, and I enjoyed being in her company. I was worried that the makeup would feel heavy, or look caked on up close since there were many layers of products that were being applied to my face. When I finally got to look, I was so blown away! I couldn't believe the magic she did. It was so natural and I felt completely like myself. She gently enhanced all of my features and didn't overdo a thing. Once I got the photos back from the shoot, I still couldn't believe how great the makeup looked. We shot both indoors and out, and everything was perfect. Okay, okay, okay... I think I finally found my nail home in Syracuse -- hooray, hooray! Funny enough, I think this is the same spot one of my coworkers recommended a while ago too. So I decided to give them a call, and they said they weren't busy and could take me right away. When I arrived, that was exactly the case -- I was seated and serviced immediately. I went with the green tea pedicure, which they told me was one of their best options. And let me just say -- it was so relaxing. They let my feet actually soak (which is rare nowadays), and I got to enjoy my book while the massage chair worked its magic. The pedicure included a foot massage, hot towel treatment, and a hot stone massage, which felt amazing. Everything was done with care and attention to detail. The same person also did my nails. I got a fill with my usual bubble bath pink color -- nothing too fancy, but I like to keep it simple. He took about 45 minutes on both my feet and hands, and I loved that he was both fast and efficient. I wear my nails in a round shape, and he did an excellent job with the shaping, which a lot of people struggle with. To top it all off, he gave me a back massage while I was drying (Under the UV dryer) and even gave me a hand massage with a hot towel after my manicure. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful -- very chill and relaxing. I went on a Thursday afternoon around 2:30 PM, and it wasn't crowded at all. The staff was kind, and overall the service made me feel taken care of. I'm definitely looking forward to going back and possibly trying some of their other therapeutic services in the future.
