It's 6 months…read moreafter she BUTCHERED my cut and color, and I am still trying to get back to where I was before she messed up my hair. I asked Danette to simply refresh my partial highlights, root touch, and trim. I never asked to go darker or have her cover the previous years and thousands of dollars of highlights I have. Danette pulled out the brown color swatches and told me my natural color was more of a 6 Ash not a 6N, which was what my previous stylist had been doing for several years. She said it would it would not darken my hair but rather look more natural with to do 6 Ash for the brown. I took her advice since I thought she was a professional and knew better. I've gotten my hair done many times, and the stylist usually does the partial highlight and then the root color. I started to get nervous when Danette put brown dye on my entire head, root to tip, covering my highlights! I politely said, "I'm a bit nervous because I see you're coloring the brown down to my tips when I only wanted a root touch up and you're covering my highlights." She reassured me that she had been doing hair for 20+ years and this was her process and that she would "pop the highlights through after" and not to worry. I once again trusted the so-called professional, even though I now see I should've walked out then as my instincts were completely right - she was doing something wrong. The stylist who did my color correction said, "Danette should have her license revoked, and I do not say that lightly." Danette went rogue and did not provide the service I asked for. She also refused to refund so now I want to warn others. She wanted me to let her try and fix my hair but the problem was: 1) I left for a trip early the next morning and the point of getting my hair done was for this trip and, 2) I lost trust in her so I did not want her to touch my hair again.

She also gave me a beautifully texturized cut and hands down, the BEST eyebrow wax I've ever had. She took me from dark auburn to a coppery golden blonde transition shade that I just love. As a first time visitor, I have to say I also appreciate the friendly atmosphere and how I was truly made to feel beautiful. I did not want to cut them. Also these are my natural nails no tips nothing fake. I just get the UV gel on top to make them strong. This woman proceeded to cut my nail after I told her numerous times that this was my real natural nails, and I did not want to cut them because it was my birthday that I will cut them the next service she proceeded to file my nails down so bad that I have a bad indentation on all of my nails, which I never got with UV gel she filed the Apex all the way down so that the nails would break or lift and I would have to come back for new service. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't right she did not care and she overcharged me. I usually pay $60-$70 she charged me $120 for a basic UV gel fill with gel polish. I felt very disrespected. I felt unheard. I understand that the Caucasian community is the primary customer in your area, but you should treat everyone with respect. I did not like how you guys talked about me and laughed. It was my birthday and I just wanted to look nice. All of my nails broke down the middle exactly the same length on everyone because of how she filed my nails down the day before my birthday and i got my nails done three days before my birthday. I've never seen a nail tech do that. I don't recommend anybody to go here. They're very rude very nasty and will change the price every time you walk in the door even laugh about it with customers as if I was over exaggerating, her exact words were "It's just a nail it will grow back" I was a customer for over a year came for every refill every service I will not be returning to this salon and I don't recommend. I found a stylist that listened to what I wanted and then was able to perform to my liking. She adjusts her schedule to my needs and is very understanding when I needed to reschedule. As with most salons there was a selection of professional products that were on display to buy but none of the workers made it their life's mission to sell it. In fact, my stylist was so sweet about it that I ended up buying a bottle just because she didn't push it so much! I'm glad I have found this spa that offers so much more than just haircuts. I had a couple of haircuts there and started to recommend them to friends and family. Took my son and brother-in-law for haircuts and beard trims. The lady assigned to my 2-year-old was absolutely bullish in tone with a bad attitude. I showed her a picture; she glanced at it and told me to take him to the barber. I spoke to the owner, and I requested a different person for my son's haircut. The next lady was even worse. She started trimming my son's hair like she was brushing trees. She was commanding my 2-year-old as if he were an adult: "You have to look to the side, you need to face down, etc." I decided to intervene and hold my son's head to ease him from the lady's scary behavior. It is such a bad haircut--the finish was misaligned and uneven. I think their approach is to offer cheap haircuts, but quality and attitude are lacking. Affordable does not have to mean unprofessional. I always intend a $20 tip; $10(for bad quality). This lady did not even deserve the $5 I tipped. Anyway, I usually avoid careless and unprofessional businesses like this, but I got caught up this time. I would never return or recommend this place to anyone. I did not understand what they actually do. They do not call themselves barbers, but rather hairdressers. Especially if you have children, do not take them here. I have never seen older ladies command a 2-year-old like that--it was just scary.
