I have at this point had the opportunity to work with every tattoo artist here. Their chill atmosphere & professionalism is amazing. Jessica's personality is like a warm mom hug when you walk in. Her fine line tattoos are so perfect that you can't help but be happy with the results... Jenn's that lovable introvert & I love talking with her about games, horror movies, & other topics she is into. Jess & her together is absolutely couples goals btw. Jenn's tattoo artistry is absolutely amazing... Alecia is new to the shop but she is excited & listens very well to direction from her bosses. I see big things in her future. My friend and I were on the hunt for a place to get our matching tattoos. After searching every hashtag, social media, and Google I came across Cordero Collective. After reading their mission statement and reviewing their work I called to talk to them. Jessica answered the phone and I immediately felt a sense of ease. She explained the process and pricing and I was comfortable with booking the appointments. Upon arrival on the day of tattoos my initial thoughts were confirmed. Jessica is so warm and welcoming. The salon is not only adorable ,but it's clean, has areas for privacy, and inclusive. She gave us as much time as we needed picking out sizing/placement of our tattoos. We were incredibly comfortable not only getting tattoos but just being ourselves as well. I can't recommend Cordero enough for your next tattoo! We came here for swiftiecuse and Jen was very sweet. The event was cute and well organized. I went with my sister and I was first up, getting tattooed by Jen. She was very kind, and let me change my placements multiple times without a fuss. Though she didn't warn me and ask if I was ready to start before beginning my first tattoo, which is something I typically appreciate and expect. When the tattoos were done, they were haphazardly wiped off and that was it. No second skin, not even any saran wrap, and no aftercare instructions whatsoever! When my sister went to be tattooed by Jessica, we found her to be very cold and judgmental. She completely shut down small talk conversation topics with my sister. It really put a damper on the event. We of course didn't go there to be best friends with the artists, and I'm sure that she was just overwhelmed from the event, but it still could have been handled better. The lack of aftercare instructions or any sort of protection for our tattoos worried us most. Luckily, I've got quite a few tattoos and knew what to do myself, but I worry about the people there who were unfamiliar and could have experienced some unfortunate situations during the healing period, which they have stated they will not be doing any touch ups for! Given the fact it's a small business run by lesbians who make the effort to be inclusive, and when all is said and done we are content with our tattoos and how they look, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt by giving them 4 stars. I hope they can improve and learn and I am really rooting for this business. read more
