Jay Sway did my first tattoo and absolutely crushed it. The linework is clean, it looks incredible, and he made the whole experience comfortable and easy. He's a genuinely good guy. Shoutout to the woman at the front desk as well, she was super kind and welcoming. Overall, nothing but a great experience. The piercer (Janell) is a literal joy and I will go no where else to get a piercing. He was very informative on the phone, telling me what I needed to do to prep for the appointment, how much the piercing would cost, and answering all of my asinine questions. The shop is very clean, spacious, and conscious of COVID protocols. The staff is super nice. Jason was very nice, professional, and efficient. He observed good sanitation practices, and I did not have to remove my mask to get the piercing done. He took me through the whole process, showed me how do a deep breathing exercise while he did the actual piercing, and did a fabulous job of placing the piercing. I couldn't be happier with how it came out. They gave me aftercare instructions for the piercing and told me to call if I had any problems (pro tip: pick up gauze pads, Germ-X fragrance free anti-bacterial soap, and NeilMed saline wound wash, all available at Walmart). It's been about a week since I came in, and my piercing is healing well. Just a heads up: they expect punctuality and it's a cash only shop (they have an ATM, but try to come prepared with cash to pay). For my piercing, it was $50. Would definitely go back for more piercings with Halo!

Unfortunately, Halo is a dirty and sketchy shop. Not at all what I was expecting.

Victoria worked with me to develop a gorgeous piece that would look great at both my bridal shower and for my wedding in a few weeks. When we realized the initial piece was a bit ambitious, she was more than happy to rework it to something that was doable for both of us. This was my first tattoo in decades, on my back, fairly large and complicated and really pushed me to the edge of my tolerance, but Victoria was incredibly supportive, hyped me, gave me breaks when I needed them, and changed tactics when I started to struggle. We watched silly movies and nature documentaries, and I was able to stop and get food when I needed it.
