Everything was fantastic but there were a few standouts for me: the first was the "ranch" that came with the tots - it was clearly homemade and had a lot of dill in it (but not overpowering) which makes it nearly more like a kind of tartar sauce and holy crap it was so good, I wanted to put it on everything like the good Midwesterner I am. The Mac and cheese was divine. Made fresh each order, it was just next level and pretty much perfect IMO. I'm not typically a big mac and cheese eater but if it were like this I'd eat it far more often. The pulled pork sammy was delicious as well - the women helping us suggested getting the slaw and pickles on the side so the bun wouldn't be soggy when I got to where I was going. That was a great recommendation and it helped my pulled pork experience be that much better. The hot dog was nearly like a brat in texture while definitely tasting like a hot dog. It was also next level like the Mac and cheese and yes I'd eat more of these too if they tasted like that! Our waitress (Amber) was amazing and very attentive. She came by a couple times during our meal to check on us and ask if we needed anything. The soft tacos with beef, were seasoned well, the beans had great flavor, not too aftertaste which I enjoyed and the rice was soft and moist. The chips and salsa they bring to the table was also delicious l! Definitely keeping on the list of places to stop for a quick lunch if we are in this area again. Service was pretty good although the staff tends to hang in the kitchen and chat. My wife really did enjoy her blackberry Marguerita that I suggested to her from other reviews. I was never too excited about trying this local place in an old strip mall but glad we did. I'd eat here again and try the menu out. This was a very good value for Whidbey island or anywhere for a pretty good food and drink experience.
