We stayed for one night during our company meeting. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. For our event, they provided both breakfast and lunch buffet which were great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Stayed here for my husband's business trip. The Langham is a 5 star hotel located conveniently in downtown. Upon entering their lobby, I was not impressed. I thought it would be grand considering the price of staying here per night. However, the staff more than made up for the underwhelming lobby area. Our room was spacious with large windows, impeccable clean bathroom and a coffee bar, which I liked the most! They have a Nespresso machine! Yey! The bed is firm yet comfortable, we definitely slept well. The hotel's location is fantastic, within walking distance of iconic spots like Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Overall, it's really a great place to stay if you have the budget.

The Boston Langham Hotel is stunning during the holidays, with magical decorations and a cozy festive vibe. Club Lounge access is a must, but opt for a room upgrade that includes it for the best value--it's worth it for sure! All executive and suite rooms include club. Make sure to check out their gorgeous restaurant Grana for brunch and Fed for HH! Pro Tip: Book through Amex fine resorts and hotels and you get a serious amount of credits to use around the hotel.

Blood stained pillow (AFTER the manager herself did a walk-through )

Worst "Fine Hotels" experience of my life. This was motel-level service with serious safety, cleanliness, and privacy violations. Upon check-in I was informed that employees had contacted my place of employment to gather information about me without consent. When I raised concerns about this breach of privacy, staff argued and defended their actions instead of taking accountability. We were grateful for early check-in until we entered the room. We were placed directly in front of the club entrance with nonstop door slamming, shouting, and trash removal late into the night. There was no weather stripping around the door so light and noise poured straight in. After putting our one year old down for a nap, the alarm system went off for over an hour with no warning, no email, and no communication. The room had almost no storage. About five hangers, two bedside drawers, and a large coffee station that we had to clear out just to fit our belongings. While my child was playing on the floor he reached under the coffee station and pulled out a silica gel packet and a jewelry box. When I looked underneath it was absolutely filthy. Shortly after, my son developed a rash. When I contacted the only manager on duty for the entire Thanksgiving week, I was offered a room move but no concern was expressed for my child's safety. Only after pushing did they offer a 200 dollar credit which was later never even applied. I escalated to Ella Huang Director of Front Office who took zero accountability and repeatedly dismissed the severity of the situation. She promised a deep cleaning. When we returned the room still looked unclean and the most shocking discovery was a blood stained pillow placed on the bed. We paid a significant amount for Club access. The food was bare salad, watery broccoli cheddar soup, stale pastries, two cereal options, and candy bars. No replenishment. All alcohol was locked up forcing guests to request drinks. When I complained the club manager told me I could order room service and be charged for it. I was told every complaint was documented and that everyone in the hotel knew. After that we received glares, attitude, and hostile behavior from staff throughout the property. The pool was lukewarm with a suspicious green algae color. The jacuzzi was filthy, dangerously hot, and frequently out of order. We were promised formal written acknowledgment and never received it. Nothing was comped. Management later admitted they are eliminating the club entirely. There was no welcome amenity, no guest recognition, no effort to make things right. Upper management never contacted us due to being on holiday during one of the busiest weeks of the year. As an apology for the alarm, champagne and cookies were placed in the room without warning and several Thanksgiving clothing items were left stained. I requested complimentary laundering and no one responded. Valet took over 20 minutes every time even when called ahead. The windows were filthy. Dust was everywhere. No rooms have bathtubs. Trash cans had no liners and appeared unsanitized. Carpets were always dirty and I never saw a vacuum used. We were promised the General Manager would contact us Monday with a resolution. Instead he said he needed to review the stay despite already being informed of everything. No evaluation was needed. The failures were constant and severe. We considered leaving but had a baby and relocating was not realistic. Guests should be fully aware of the lack of accountability, unsafe cleanliness standards, dismissive management, and subpar amenities. Langham corporate has been notified. This is not a luxury experience. This property does not belong on any Fine Hotels list.

I've stayed at a Langham property before so when going to Boston I knew I wanted to stay here. The location was prime, we were close to everything. Just a quick ride to and from the airport too. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are heavenly. I am obsessed with the scent of all their toiletry products, I was lucky enough to have been gifted a few items while staying at the hotel but I also purchased a few more items to take home. I tried two restaurants on the premises and both were delicious as well as room service. The food was fresh, tasty and unique. The staff were always so friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. I can't recommend this hotel enough, it is definitely one of my favorites.

Attended for a wedding,; location is great and facilities are very nice. Service at the wedding was efficient and every detail was attended to. Everyone had a wonderful time and food was really good. The filet mignon was excellent. Bar on ground floor was great but beware of bartenders suggesting a whisky; a single drink cost $27.

I love the Langham hotel. I was stayed Langham hotel in Manhattan before and I was fall in love with this hotel. I was so happy to stay here while traveling in Boston with my friend and my dog. Great location. Easy to get anywhere downtown Boston also easy to walked with my dog too. Pretty room and super clean. But a bit small room compared to manhattan Langham hotel. Maybe I choose small room. I really enjoyed stay here and would love to stay again when I travel to Boston again.

This is a beautiful and classy hotel in an old federal building in a great part of town. Nice ambiance, decor, polite staff and beautiful rooms with comfy beds and pillows. The executive lounge on the 8th floor is wonderful if you have access like I did bc they serve all meals there and you can order from the other hotel restaurants and have it in a more exclusive and private setting if you need to do work or relax. Grana and The Fed - the two restaurants in the hotel are delicious. I had wonderful breakfast and brunch service 3 days in a row at Grana trying many different things, all excellent. My husband and I had a nice, quiet Sunday dinner at The Fed. Staff are absolutely excellent. Check-in was easy, all issues handled quickly, pillows delivered to the room, turndown and their messaging app and online menus are all easy to use and find. Wi-fi was fast and easy. The gym and pool are very nice... all-in-all I was thoroughly pleased with this beautiful hotel. My main issue is the sound proofing of the rooms - which was mentioned by another reviewer. It's entirely accurate - you can hear every single thing that happens in the hallway outside... I was unlucky enough to be at the end of a hall right beside the gym on the 4th floor and directly beside the employee hallway/elevator. It was SO loud bc you can hear everything. I was there for a B.A.A. race and had to wake up early so this sucked when trying to sleep/relax. They need to do something about the doors/soundproofing. Excited to try this new chain in the cities in which it is located now - I loved it almost as much as the FS.

Absolutely beautiful architecture, interior design, furniture, original artwork. We ate and drank at both the fed and grana and it was all delicious, amazing service. Hotel staff was all wonderful and kind. The bed and bedding and towels were all great and they have dyptique body lotion which I'm obsessed with. The gym has a good selection of equiptment. Walking distance from lots in Boston.

All are good but Canopy by Hilton in Boston is a step above. Service was GREAT, especially Yanelee who was working at the desk when we checked in. She is why I prefer to stay at Hilton hotels and will not stay anywhere else in Boston. She was friendly, helpful and went above-and-beyond to get us in our room!! The room itself was spacious, VERY clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was great, very close to the historic district and a short Uber from the cruise terminal and the airport. If you want comfort in Boston, don't look anywhere else!

Our stay at the Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown was a complete delight! The hotel was modern,…read morespacious, and clean with barely any noticeable flaws. I will highlight key points below: Room: The room was very spacious and offered a giant bathroom with big stall shower. There was a chaise lounge for relaxing, as well as a desk with a comfortable chair. Instead of a lame coffeemaker, the room included a Nespresso machine. The bath products were by a company called Apoteke from Brooklyn and seemed high-end. The television offered live TV and access to various streaming services if you entered your logins (supposedly deleted after checkout). The room was relatively soundproof from neighbors and outdoor noise. Plus, everything was spotless! The only issue was the bed, which I found lumpy and uncomfortable. I was not sure if there was a feather topper or something, but it felt like I was lying on a mattress full of crumbled tissues. The pillows were fine, though. ROSE Town Kitchen & Bar: I did not dine here, but heard the breakfasts were good. However, I was there for evening cocktails and was impressed with the vast list of beverage options. The Temperature Rising with Ghost Blanco Tequila, Chinola, lime, agave, and a tajin rim offered a great blend of heat and sweetness. The sprawling dining room and large bar made the place very comfortable. The second floor location offered a great view of the park across the street. The bar staff was also excellent. Front Desk: The check-in/out services were easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted every time we returned to the hotel. Convenience Store: The lobby offered a small convenience store with snacks, beverages (including alcohol), Boston merchandise, wellness items, and more. Social Hour: I am not sure if it happens daily, but there were a few evenings during our stay where they were offering complimentary spring rolls and High Noon/hard lemonade in the lobby from 4-5 pm. Fitness Center: The 24-hour gym was huge! It offered a variety of cardio machines (3 Pelotons, tons of treadmills, 1 recumbent bike, 2 ellipticals, and 1 rowing machine), medicine balls, kettlebells, 1 set of weights (could have used more of these), 2 benches, yoga mats, and a strength station. They also had cups and a water cooler, as well as a lot of space to work out. Location: The location was spectacular if you wanted to see some of the touristy sites. Within close walking distance were some key attractions like the North End, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, Boston Public Market, and the Seaport area. Parking: They offered valet parking for around $55-$65 overnight, but we self-parked in a lot a block away for $40 a night. There were no in/out privileges, however. Aside from the bed, I thought Canopy was amazing and definitely one of the best hotels I had stayed at in the city.

For a hotel of this status I'm surprised they dont acknowledge repeat customers. "Welcome Back" or a different note in the room than the formulaic one from guest services. The not-so-good: we booked a suite and were originally shown a room on the 11th floor which was very dark and faced a brick building. We requested another room and were moved to a much better room facing the park on the 3rd floor. Neither room was worth the $1k price point but at least the second room was an improvement. It should be noted the elevators are very slow and the wait was 5-10 minutes no matter the time of day. The bad: Contessa has almost zero vegan options... not even oatmeal which was odd. Even the acai bowl had milk in it! I ended up ordering a slice of focaccia, a laughable fruit plate (which was $20), and orange juice. Room service was no better in terms of option...one night I ordered the rigatoni marinara clearly stating that I am a vegan and it arrived an hour later covered in parmesan cheese. None of the above would have been a big deal at a $500-$600 price point, but at $1k per night our experience was disappointing. I doubt we'll stay at the Newbury again.

That time due to everything going on in the world with minimal travel we enjoyed a cheap rate for an entire weekend with probably the best view offered for the hotel of TD Garden as well as the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Which I know it's just a bridge but it was a nice sight for an in-city view. This most recent stay was due to a concert at TD Garden my wife and I were in town for. Which I will say if you are looking for a place to stay for an event at TD Garden, good luck finding a better option than here! Check in staff and valet workers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Rates were very reasonable for end of summer and with a concert so close. Room was smaller this stay around and our view was more of just a building with a small glance of TD Garden if you looked to the side. Overall a very clean room and still a good amount of space. Can not think of any complaints for our stay and would stay here again. They offer valet parking and anytime we needed the car it was quick to get it back. Inside the lobby/first floor they have plenty of seating and what they dub "The Bistro" that offers breakfast, dinner, and full bar and I believe Starbucks drinks too. Location wise it is quite ideal, obviously if your activities/work is in this area of Boston. Besides TD Garden it is also close to North station along with plenty of food and drink options. Personally for a morning coffee or matcha I say check out Blank Street Coffee, then food wise I would say take a quick walk to the North End or closer try Tavern In The Square. It tasted wonderful, like an autumnal tea, and all our teas came in beautifully decorated tea pots, apparently from Australia. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had.
