Ok...it's not a long course...and it's not Valhalla...but it's a fun little course to work on your irons and prob not lose any balls. Pretty wide open. Right next to a municipal airport (hence...the LANDINGS) so you got small planes coming and going. It's a full 18 and we literally finished it in 2.5 hours (we did play fast the last few holes to finish). Didn't like that the clubhouse (and bathrooms) were closed when we got back a few minutes past seven....but was still good time. Will come back again. read more

Great local course, nothing fancy, but a good variety of holes and usually reasonably quick to get a round. I love playing next to an small airfield and added entertainment for a plane spotter. It is well fenced and I've never seen gators there. Reasonably priced. read more

If I Could Give Zero Stars, I Would -- Disrespectful, Misogynistic, and Rude Let me start by saying, if I could give this course ZERO stars, I absolutely would. The Landings was, without a doubt, one of the worst golf experiences I've ever had, not because of the course itself, but because of the absolutely disgusting behavior from both staff and players. My girlfriend and I arrived a few minutes behind our tee time because the elderly bartender in the clubhouse took forever with a simple drink order. No big deal, right? Wrong. When we got to the first tee, the starting ranger made a sexist comment toward my girlfriend for being late -- not directed at both of us, just her. It was clearly a joke meant to embarrass her, and let me be clear!!! it was offensive, outdated, and completely inappropriate. That alone would've been enough to ruin the mood, but unfortunately, it got worse. Later in the round, my dad and I handed a ball back to another golfer whose shot came near us. We were polite, didn't say a word out of line, and the guy told us to "fuck off" to our faces. Shocked, we went inside to let the clubhouse staff know, thinking surely they'd want to address such disrespect. Instead, we were met with more rudeness. The man inside the clubhouse didn't want to hear anything. No apology, no concern, no professionalism -- just pure arrogance and indifference. Let me be crystal clear,if you're a woman, or care about one, stay away from this place. If I were you, I wouldn't bring my wife, girlfriend, sister, or any woman here. The culture at this course is toxic, misogynistic, and flat-out hostile. There are plenty of great courses in the area where people are treated with basic human decency. This isn't one of them. Save your money. Skip The Landings. You'll thank yourself. read more

Renee and Chad were amazing. These guys behind us was very rude that we were with my 80-year-old grandma. They told us that they would kick these guys off the course if they were being mean to us. Luckily, the rude guy left after the ninth hole, but they were very aggressive and claimed that we stole their ball. This is a great course; the staff are very helpful and friendly. This course is shorter than I usually play, this is not a bad thing, working with your irons is a good thing. All of the greens were in excellent condition. I'm glad I came out and played this course. They have a driving range and putting range. A rented fairway wood literally shattered while hitting the ball. The cashier insisted we hit the ground and that is why the club broke. NOT TRUE! They are trying to charge me $250 for this clearly, already cracked club. It shouldn't shatter when it makes contact with the golf ball. And I certainly am not responsible for replacing this crap club. I will never be back as this place clearly is a scam since I read other reviews stating their rented clubs broke and were also charged WOW! read more

The staff freaked out, they were rude like it's the customer's fault... the lady behind the snack bar was rUde as hell to the people. The course itself is not bad and it's laid out pretty good. there are airplanes flying over every five minutes which makes it interesting but loud. inside of the clubhouse has nice decor and very clean the outside needs some work and the driving range is that a very good location because it the drivers hit the people thing in the first tee. it's some interesting landscaping it's local it's a good location. read more

I had the opportunity to play the Landings golf course with my brother while visiting family on Tuesday, 2/22/22. Despite the high play volume and the summer like conditions in February, the course was in very good condition especially the greens and groomed sand traps. The course is compact and is situated by a small airport that has it's share of traffic throughout the round. The forgiving layout offered 9 - par three's and 9 - par four's. This is a great course for those like me, from the northeast who don't play in the winter, playing their first round. The price is right too as we paid $37 w/cart and I rented clubs for $20. The clubs however were nothing special but they were functional. I definitely recommend this course while visiting the Clearwater and Largo area. read more

Pros: Nice greens, friendly golfers Cons: staff pompousness, overcrowded Have played here twice, same unwelcoming, better-than-thou older guy working in the pro shop both times. The landings' course would be great for beginners, except the staff seems to have a grudge against novice players/ younger players. Lady behind the bar is the only exception, she was very friendly. Of course a certain decorum must be followed at golf courses, but this applies to the staff as much as it does to the players. To get respect you have to give respect! The landings has low respect for its guests. For the same price there are courses nearby that are larger and in better condition. read more

Whenever I'm in town this course is a priority to play. The greens have always been in great condition. Tee box could use some work just like the fairways but overall it's a solid course. Not a long course at all, the street side always scares me for the safety of not hitting one in the street... Me being right handed I always aim right on those holes.. Staff is amazing as always! Course is in horrendous shape, fairways are basically sand bunkers. Pace of play was painfully slow, 2-3 groups waiting on every hole.

Course is in poor condition and they overbook so have to wait long on every hole. But the worst part is the staff are incredibly rude. We are from out of state so we rented clubs. The clubs are crappy and the head flew off during a practice swing on the second hole. When we were done with the round we showed the guy at the desk who proceeded to call the manager and we were told we had to pay $100. All four of us are golfers and haven't ever had a club break. The staff continued to be extremely rude and say we had to pay for it. We said we would not and they told us to leave and never come back. Lol we're two couples in our late 50s and they treated us like we were some young people partying. Don't waste your money at this place. read more

A nice golf course that has 9 par 3s and 9 par 4s. Greens are kept very nice! The cost is totally worth it! Coming back again for sure!

The first hole is disappointingly short, then it gets fun. No long holes, but interesting old trees, fun playing alonside the adjacent airstrip. Friendly in the clubhouse, they have snacks and beer and soda. Carts are good and reliable, I found the course in good shape, just a little wet on 9. 10-11-12 is more standard lengths, along the condos. There is also a range. read more

A great Par 62. It's the length you love and hole-in-ones are often based on the hall of fame wall in the pro shop. Their range is great for a warm-up. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves and the staff was beyond accommodating. read more

Professional and beautiful golf course, love the Hanger. People from all over play they. Can get really busy, so book early.

Staff member behind the counter was extremely kind. Weekends they offer food and have nice outdoor seating. Also there is a small airport next door so seeing planes take off and land was cool. read more

This course is truly a dumb both in looks and service. The people reporting $20ish are not correct. It used to be affordable. Went at 12 with my 7 year old and they wanted $60. I have never paid that here, let alone with a bucket of balls for $10 and food. They refused to work with me on the rate despite my son never being able to finish more than 9 holes- and as if this is a true resort, the manager rudely responds that he will not discount the rate and will inform all of his staff the rate I have experienced in the past was never to be accommodated again. The staff is rude and poshy like this course is a 10/10. This course is a solid 2 out of 10- flat, ugly not watered and undesirable next to an airport. If you want to charge premium rates, have premium service and a premium course- not a dump yard. read more

Played this course over 20 times in the last 3 years. We normally don't care the customer service rep inside is rude and disrespectful but today was the cherry on top. I was invited by a friend to play there with a group of 8 total. I walked in and paid and asked for my cart key. Was told I can't get a cart until someone else comes in and pays. Again I don't know the other people so I just walk back to my car. Throw my shoes on and lug my bag back to the pro shop. Someone from the group pays and I ask for my key. He continued to question why I needed a cart. I lost it. I was berated and I quote , "Everytime I go golfing with my buddies we all walk in together and pay. How do you not know who you are playing with." I legit already explained I knew 1 person. He finally gave in and gave me a cart but kept chirping me. I'll happily never play this course again. Great greens. Everything else in shambles. Especially the staff. Bartender has always been great so keep her. But get rid of the guy working this afternoon. read more

I had to pay full price to spectate at this course. After discussing with the front desk staff as well as with management, they were un willing to lower the fee at all. My husband has folded for 5 years with this course and now will no longer be giving them business. If your wife would like to watch you golf, please consider a different course with an appropriate spectator fee. read more

I've played the Landings a few times now since deciding to try it out a few months back. The conditions having only gotten better with each round. The greens were pretty much sand on my initial round, but it is clear that the management there is working hard to get the course back into great shape. The greens this past Friday were still a little bumpy as it is continuing to fill in, but it is really filling in nicely. In addition, they were just finishing with their new irrigation system on the back 9 and it is great to see that investment. I've grown into really loving this course for a quick morning round around the weekends. Pace of play early in the morning is great and it never feels crowded. This isn't a 4 star related to championship courses of course, but for what it is, you can't really go wrong. read more

It's not Augusta, but in a region with as many golf courses as Tampa Bay, it doesn't have to be. Despite its small size, this course has the best greens of any I have played in the area. By miles. (And, on par with legitimate courses in Vegas, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico I've played. They pay extra attention to these surfaces, and it shows.) Clubhouse staff is friendly and helpful. Same with the snack bar people. And the greens folks. My only complaints are that the fairways on the front can (at times) be a bit lacking in the grass department and that they tend to round up the flags kind of early. Get out before 2:00 and you're golden. And, uh, aim to the right on numbers 13 and 14. Keene Road is an intimidating presence. Could use a net, but no clue what kind of permits that requires with the CoS apartments across the street. read more

Was not let out after 5pm even though I had a threesome waiting for me on hole 4. This is a policy they fail to mention until you get to the pro shop. Very disappointing there is no escalation policy or exceptions made to keep customers satisfied. Spoke to the owner that stated people try to pretend they have people they were meeting up with just to get on the course, implying I was one of them. Really sad, that a family owned business won't go the extra mile for their community. Even though this course is less than a mile away, will be taking my business elsewhere along with my network. For a simple public course in an area full of courses, this ones pretty nice. Reasonably well kept grounds, fast greens and not overly difficult. It has a nice pro shop and a bar/simple restaurant all run by nice people. Driving range on site. Prices are moderate. read more

Just moved to the area and work within minutes of the golf course here. Showed up for the first time at 455 in June and asked to play on a Thursday night. The guy was out smoking a cigarette and said that the last cart went out and I couldn't play because we close course at 7. What a disappointment for a new person in the area. I won't come back or being any friends from work. Seems like a typical lazy move to not take my business and let me play. read more

I live across from the Landings Golf Course in Marymont. Although I'm not a golfer ( yes minature golf), yet, I see so many people on the golf course having a great time. Talking with the golfers, I find that golfers come from all over Florida to play on this course designed by Ron Garl, noted designer and builder of memorable golf courses. This is a Pr 63, 18 hole course. Love the open green space. Please tell me why a developer wants to change this open green space into a light industrial manufacturing complex. Why? There will be a referendum on Clearwater ballot, Nov 3, 2020. You can make the difference to keep this open green space. read more

Arrived shortly before 5PM on a Sunday with my son to play a round of golf. The employee at the "pro shop" was busy vacuuming, ignoring the poor guy who came in before us. Once the rug was thoroughly cleaned and the gentleman in front of us had his token for his range balls, it was our turn. "Two rounds of golf please." His response? "What time is it? Oh, it's too late. We stop at 5 PM". I checked the time on my i phone. It read 5:01. I swear. No exaggeration. 5:01!! I showed him my phone and pled my case to no avail. We had been in there waiting for five minutes! Seriously? One minute after 5?? Seriously??.. Seriously.... This course is minutes from my home and my son has been bitten by the golf bug so coming here would be a no brainer for us. But the cavalier, I don't care attitude from the vacuuming employee has not only assured we will not be back, but EVERY chance I get I will tell the story of the vacuuming fool at The Landings in Clearwater. Was provided a loaner golf club to use with a bucket of golf balls at driving range WITHOUT CONTRACT OR WRITTEN AGREEMENT. Shortly into the small bucket of balls the club came apart. Showed the attendant that the VERY USED club appeared to have been previously broken and glued back together. They refused to assist and charged $40 for an old worn range club. As I believed that they were charging well beyond full retail for the used club, I asked them to please provide me with the club. They refused and stated that they would "repair" the club so someone else could use it! Why would you do that to someone else!? Steer clear of this place. It's also directly adjacent to a busy little executive airport with noisy helicopters and planes buzzing over head. There are better choices in the area like Chi Chi's that also does good work for the community. read more
