He asked me what I had done to snap the shaft in 2 .. She changed my grip, my stance, my head position, my alignment and my putting approach. Cove Cay is essentially my "home course" in central Clearwater. This course has amazing potential…read moreas it is set right on the Bay with stunning views on multiple holes. The staff is accommodating, though not necessarily friendly. The driving area is pinched between the first and tenth fairways but is adequate. The track of the course is ok on the front, winding through condos and dumping you out on hole 9 with the first great view of the day. The back 9 is much more fun to play with water on almost every hole, 2 par fives and 4 par threes. The course consistently struggles to be in great shape with the greens patchy and sandy quite often. However, when the course is in good shape it is one of my favorite courses to play.

Tee boxes are uglier than my mother in law. I had high hopes and unfortunately they were let down. I won't be coming back. I'll drive an extra 30 minutes to play anywhere else.

I sought out Rick for his successful college coaching credentials. Our first lesson showed he was an impressive and fast observer, and based his coaching on my game, physique, and basic flaws, which he made most understandable. In 5 more lessons, he gave me simple drills, much encouragement, and the order to "remember the good ones, not the bad ones." My accuracy percentage has improved impressively. My former persistent tops have become (mostly) airborne shots with about +8 yards per iron, and 10-15 on woods.
