The lab is a bright and open brewery. We went on a Thursday evening an hour before close and there was plenty of seating and even some live music! We chose to sit away from the live music to hear each-other and luckily there were plenty of seating options. We chose to visit this brewery because it is on our Pub Pass. The bartender was nice and took our orders quickly which we appreciated. As for the number of beers, there is not too many. For being on the Pub Pass I would have expected a larger selection. However, all of us enjoyed the beers we did have. There was a wide variety of non alcoholic beverages, if that is what you enjoy this is your place! Overall, a nice experience just wanted more to choose from:)

Rounding out our pub pass and this was one of the few left. I'm bummed we didn't try it sooner as it was a great brewery! I love the concept behind pouring your own (although we didn't do that!) you get a card, insert it and grab your glass and choose your beer. I think it's an amazing idea to try all different beers. We got the blue raspberry blonde which was one of the best we have tried! We even brought home a Crowler, it was that good. We are planning to come back this summer to enjoy their patio.

Cool spot to grab a drink, watch some sports or play some board games. I stopped by here as part of the 2021 Pubpass tour, what a great way to discover new breweries! The space is very spacious for big groups and has a few TVs to watch games. The Lab also has a collection of board games to play. They serve food (pizza or pretzel) and for those that don't drink alcoholic drinks, they have kombucha, seltzers, soda, and juice. All around a great place to hangout. Would come back again!

The Lab has a great NA beverage offering for anyone looking for a brewery with a range of options! I'm not alcohol-free, but I do appreciate a unique NA offering. I loved the Ruby Moon - colored with Butterfly Pea Flower for the pretty purple color, the taste is subtly sweet with a hint of earthy florals - a friend described it as an adult gatorade type taste. It would also make a delicious cocktail mixer if taken home and wanted to add in some gin or vodka! I grabbed a crowler to take back with me, plus a Kombucha. 4 stars because unfortunately the taproom is closing July 31!

Almost looks like an umbrella drink :-)

Another beautiful night on the patio of The Lab using our pub pass. I had an imperial stout which was quite potent but very rich in taste. Good thing it comes in a smaller glass. Great stop.

This would be AMAZING if this place was in my backyard! A girl can dream! Love the laid back atmosphere here. They had the patio open and the breeze was heavenly throughout the building. Thursdays they have live music and they are dog friendly too. I love that you can pour your own taps! Board games are available if you want to make things competitive! I recommend playing board games & making the loser buy the next round! Beers were good! I enjoyed the Wheat IPA most :)

This was walking distance from Vertical Endeavors - Twin Cities Bouldering. It was nice to stop by after a tough workout to unwind. It is definitely pet friendly as I saw some cute dogs on the patio. I needed some help with the self pour but a friendly staff member helped me out right away. There was plenty of table space for board games and of course a pretty big TV to watch whatever game is on. If you're driving parking is pretty easy since they have a private lot. Didn't get a chance to try anything from the food truck but maybe next time.

I barely drink beer and this place was super cool and on trend! They have a wide range of drinks from beer on tap, hard Seltzer's and even non alcoholic drinks for the sober drinkers :) I tried the watermelon hard seltzer and strawberry coconut malt sparkling water on tap , both were pretty sweet which I like a lot - the card system they have to purchase your tap drinks are a self serve you submit a card onto the top of the drink you want. At the end, you'll have a balance depending how much you poured out and they have a nifty water glass cleaner. All in all, the ambience was modern and had nice seating on the patio and huge open spaces. I would definitely come back for a chill night out with friends.

The Lab is an excellent place if your like me and love doing flights and tasting a lot of different beers. At the lab you get a bit of a different experience in that you get to pour your own beer. You pay by the Oz so you can go for a sip or pour a whole glass. The setting is spacious, colorful, and on the outdoor patio on a nice day is perfect. They have free popcorn that they keep refilled and a food truck that's parked in front most of the time. The lab offers a variety of beers and other drinks like kombucha and hard seltzer's that are on tap. Prices are decent and there is plenty of parking. It's also right off the 180/94. Staff were super helpful with explaining how everything worked. Definitely worth a try, especially on a nice day.

The lab has officially got me as a fan! They have a really cool story. From their history to leaders to master craftsmen and women it is a place for truly everyone. What makes them unique? They have a menu that is contestantly changing. what happens is in the Back they have 7 barrels and they are a "lab" for large and small brew masters to run test batches of new brews and then have them tasted in the hall. So you will notice the destription of each kind is unique as they don't have a brand or name necessarily and in 6 months you might notice a flavor you tried is out on a shelf in a store! It's a chance to try something before anyone else. What is my favorite part? The SOBER LIST! The lab is all inclusive. They have taken to the trend of people wanting to still go out And have a good time without alcohol. Their sober list is full of fun, rare drinks that have flavor, fun and excitement. It was refreshing to see this and that it was truly crafted not just a soda or water. I would highly recommend checking this place out! They are the ones to watch!

The only thing wrong with this place is that it is in Minnesota and I live in California. We came out to visit some friends on a cross country trip and they took us to the Lab for Father's Day. What more could a Dad ask for? PYOB (Pour your own beer), food truck, games, and a comfortable atmosphere to top it all off. The space is super clean, modern, and has a great feel to it. There's free wifi and a great outdoor patio setup with cornhole as well. If I had a place like this near my house I would seriously be here 3x per week. The beer was great and the taps are always rotating. I had an IPA on nitro that was one of my favorites. My wife loved the apricot wheat, and the kolsch was great too. You pay by the ounce so you don't ever get stuck with a pint that isn't awesome. The staff at the beer wall is super knowledgeable about the entire selection and friendly too. This is a great find in the Twin Cities and a must stop if you like beer, good food, and fun.

This place just opened and we were eager to check it out. I brought my husband and daughter here for Father's Day and we had a great time! The atmosphere was really comfortable and we spent our time out on the patio because the weather was nice out. I had no idea how kid / family friendly this place would be! There were tons of families there celebrating with us and they had lots of games, legos, and blocks for our daughter to play with. Lots of free parking was a bonus. The beer was great and they had a nice selection of other options too. The staff at the beer wall explained the science behind "the lab" and everything that went into the beer to make it high quality. Very knowledgeable. It was a Father's Day success and my husband loved it. We'll definitely be back!

Liked this place, super cool concept. Very comfortable environment today with the sun coming in on a chilly Saturday MN early afternoon. I really liked the Maltshake brew-I was pleasantly surprised- it was very smooth with no after taste.
