My favourite place for milk teas in Toronto. I don't care for the large franchises from Asia, The Krys is the place to be. If you like actual tea flavor and enjoy tasting quality drinks, you've come to the right place. I was quite sad after they closed their St. Andrew station since it was easier to get to along the subway line on the way back home. It was a great pick-me-up after a long day. This location may be more difficult to get to now (lol PATH), but it is worth the confusion and getting lost. Their classic milk tea with tapioca is my favourite. I get 0% sugar and 0% ice and it actually isn't sweet - unlike other places that are still sweet at 0% sugar. Tapioca is nice and chewy, not as chewy as homemade tapioca you can get at other bbt places, but a nice chew nonetheless. The grass jelly is also another amazing topping option you can get here. I'm also a fan of their Golden Thai Tea Latte when I want a sweeter treat and am not feeling their classic milk tea. They used to have a black sesame latte at their St Andrew location that I really enjoyed (it was like the black sesame dessert soup) but hopefully it'll come back one day! For a more refreshing drink thats caffeine free, I enjoy the Mango Milky. It has real mango chunks, mango puree, milk, and some cheese foam. Really refreshing on a hot summer day. They have a loyalty stamp card that you can use for free toppings or drinks, no digital loyalty program here. The only downside of The Krys is that they close early since they're more in the Harborfront area and aren't open late like other places.

Golden Thai

Typically when bubble tea shops tell you they ran out of tapioca, I'd almost immediately walk out. Made the trek and I wasn't going to leave empty handed - I really wanted the golden thai. This was almost 7pm on a Tuesday. I settled for the golden thai with grass jelly topping. If they had tapioca, this would've been an easy 5 stars. It was the perfect cup of thai milk tea (with less sugar). Down to the last few golden envelopes and managed to score a free drink. Maybe I'll use this at their 150 King Street location to check it out. Krys is on a stamp card loyalty program.

I was looking forward for this milk tea bar to open as there's no other milk tea places within the area. The closest place for milk tea will be at chinatown and that's quite a distance from here. When I found out they finally opened, I had to make a stop over. The only thing is I wish they opened a little earlier for my morning caffeine fix. Over the weekend, they open from noon until 7pm. This place is a grab and go place located inside Harbour Plaza and is connected to the Path. This location is really convenient and the decor is really cute. They also have a stamp card for their in house loyalty program where you can get a free drink with purchase of 10 drinks. I went in to try their hot milk tea as it appears to be their signature item on the menu. Aside from milk tea, they also have many other drink options and bubble tea as well as pastries including egg tarts. Their milk tea was pretty good, but a little heavy on the milk for my liking. I will definitely go back and give them another go. I found out they make the baked goods in house, so I will go in early next time to make sure I get my hands on fresh baked goods.

This location is South of union station and under the Path. It's next to the dollarama. It was pretty busy when I got there but it's not a huge wait before I get my drink. I opted for a regular size cold roasted hojicha bubble tea and it's about $4. Not insanely expensive. The fact that it's roasted hojicha make the tea more prominent than in an original bubble tea. You can customize it and I opted for less sugar and light ice. Though I think it still tastes quite sweet. Maybe I should have chosen half sugar. As for the tapioca, I think it needs some work. The outer part is soft and a bit mushy while the inside is hard, felt like some undercooked tapioca have been sitting there for a while, idk. It's a take out only place and also offers other bakeries goodies which I've yet to try. I would say overall it's a fair place but so far it's not something that I will crave for and want to go more often.

Black sesame latte w/ grass jelly

I have been meaning to try this place and happily won an Instagram giveaway for two black sesame lattes, of any size, with grass jelly included. Since this prize would be expiring in a week, I quickly made my way over after my shift. Not realizing this location was inside a building, I was a little lost upon looking for it, as I was coming from outside (not the PATH). Within the building are directories, but not really any signs for levels/store units - making it a little bit of a hunt. I finally made my way there to find a cute little shop, with a nice mural for you to take your Instagram photos! The girl that greeted me was extremely friendly, double-checked what my prize winnings were and then came back out with another male employee. The male staff member was the one who made my drinks - first asking if I wanted regular sugar and ice. Not knowing what their standard really is, I asked: "is it really sweet?" He kindly said, "I'll make it less sweet". I was also offered a tray. Aesthetically, the drinks were beautiful. They use clear coffee shop type cups and lids (with their logo printed into the cup) rather than your typical bubble tea shop that uses plastic to seal over the top of the beverage. This does make the product look more high-end. The company also chooses to use black paper straws - a nice eco-friendly option - but only works well if you don't have your drink sitting too long, as it does get soggy over time. In my picture, I have my own clear bubble tea straw. As for quality, you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Flavors were decent, but I found my drink WAY too sweet still (I couldn't finish the large size for this reason) and I do wish they used a finer grind of black sesame, which would make the beverage smoother to drink and less grainy. I did enjoy the grass jelly though, which was fun to chew, though the large pieces often got stuck at the end of my straw. Potentially my expectations were too high, but unfortunately, my drinks were underwhelming, especially since their prices are easily comparable to the competition out there. I really do appreciate the staff though for their excellent service.

I was really impressed with their service here as the staff was really nice and helpful. Before I left, they told me to try my drink first to see if it was sweet enough because they use fresh milk. I ordered their classic milk tea and although it was not as rich in flavour as regular Hong Kong milk tea, it was still good. Their drinks are very aesthetic and I would definitely come back to try more of their drinks especially their Hong Kong milk tea!

This place is really cute! There's cool art on the wall and the staff are nice. We got our drinks pretty quickly and they all tasted really good. My friend got a strawberry slushy and it came with a super cute cup. The only problem is that it's kind of hard to find. My friends and I had to make it to the rogers center for a certain time and this place was the closest, so we looked for it for a good 15 minutes before we found it. It's inside a building with no real indication it's in there. Other than that, great place!

Milk tea

This is my new favourite bubble tea place. My only complaint is that there's no location close to my house :( The location is just take out. There's no seating area but there's a bench in front to sit and wait. The store is really nice and has cute neon sign to take pictures. We got the Strawberry Matcha and the Blueberry Fruit Tea. Both are only available cold although I think most of the drinks are available cold and hot. We got both drinks with tapioca. They had run out and we waited 5 minutes to get fresh tapioca. Strawberry Matcha - fav! Must try! So delicious! The combination of the matcha green tea and the real strawberry chunks/puree was heaven. The only thing better would be extra strawberry since it's at the bottom, you drink it up fast. I had to try to not suck up too much strawberry so that I wouldn't run out. I don't know if they let you order extra strawberry but I will ask and willing to pay next time! **must be well shaken before drinking** Blueberry Fruit Tea - so unique! I've loved blueberry infused tea from The Alley and other places but this is on another level. They have real blueberries in the drink which was so good. I personally did not like having tapioca in this drink bc I kept wanting blueberry and getting tricked with tapioca balls instead. I can't wait to get these drinks again and to try the other drinks on the menu. Definitely recommend this place!

Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
