For airport food...a 4. My wife and I both ordered the Roasted Turkey and Avocado sandwich. It comes with chips and was pretty good. Nice, grainy, toasted bread with a decent serving of turkey. The avocado didn't appear to have any other flavoring on it, and there was just a swipe of garlic aioli, but all in all a pretty healthy and filling sandwich. Food came out very quickly-always a bonus at the airport. Good service (sat at the bar).
Terrible service. I rarely tipped nada but I did this time. My server was non existent. Had to flag other servers down. Bartender did a fine job at making drinks. Kitchen was just ok. Come for the drinks if you can bare the terrible service. Thanks!
Tried this place with my husband on our return flight back home. We started off with Mezze which was exceptionally delicious. We then had Avocado Toast and Italian Sandwich. Both the toast and the sandwich were delicious. We ended our lunch with Chocolate Chip Cookie with Vanilla ice cream which was tasty as well. Best bar/airport food I've ever had. The server was warm, friendly and attentive. The ambiance was decent. I would highly recommend this place! MUST TRY!!
We were there before 8AM on a Wednesday and was surprised by how busy the place was that early in the morning. It does open at 4:30 AM. The restaurant had many seats (not a lot of space for carry-ons if you're sitting at the booth however) and was clean and well lit. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The food came out pretty fast. The pancakes I got were super soft and had HUGE portions.... Definitely could not finish it and I thought I was starving right beforehand haha. Jam was pretty good. Only came here because we had airline food vouchers. Otherwise personally would not pay for the prices... typical high airport costs ($16-20 a person).
Airport food is usually overpriced and not so good. I had the cinnamon roll and a side of bacon...not much, but it was what I was craving. Both were very flavorful and cooked just right. The cinnamon roll is quite large, so be aware. There's a full service bar and the staff were pleasant and attentive...I'd visit again.
Saddle up to this bar because if you miss out on bartender Ajay, you may regret it. Great service, lots of good recommendations, and just an overall awesome experience. We had the wings and they were top notch. They have an outer crispy crunch that is delectable and the two sauces that come with the wings are scrumptious. I had to order the BBQ chicken pizza. It was that nice, sweet, tasty pizza that Wolfgang does so well. This stop made waiting for the next flight a pleasure.
I sat at the bar waiting for my flight. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The food came out in a short amount of time after I placed my order. Nice big TV's at the bar for sports and whatever else. Food: Salmon Glaze Bowl (5/5) - The fish was cooked perfectly, and I had enough of everything to have some with each bite. Yummy and filling! Cookie Skillet (5/5) - YUM! The picture says it all. Drink: Orange & Pineapple Mimosa (5/5) - I love that they give you a mini champagne bottle to mix and pour your own mimosa to your preference.
My group and I stopped by here while waiting on our flight out of Calgary. They had a pretty diverse range of beer and cider options on tap (I got a Hazy IPA). The food was also really good for airport food, but of course not so cheap. I got the chicken cesar wrap, and it came with fresh chips. It was delicious and big enough that I ate the second half of it during my connection too. If you're in the American terminal I would stop by here.
Easy and Quick Breakfast for a Stop-Over Flight. An unexpected flight delay led me to WolfgangPucks at the EGates at YYC. I needed a place where I could sit comfortably, eat and work. The host seated me at an appreciable table with plenty of room for my laptop and to eat. The breakfast here is not bad at all, the bacon was crisp, the eggs were just soft enough inside as I had them over easy. The potatoes fresh and the toast hot!! The servers are very attentive and the food comes out fast!!
Very early flight and we stopped to grab a bite. We shared pancakes and they were huge! excellent coffee Delish Great Customer Service
International travel is always tough to plan ahead for... sometimes you breeze through security with plenty of time and other times it takes hours and you just barely make your flight... Luckily for me and my husband, security and customs were a breeze on a recent trip heading back to Phoenix from Calgary, so we had some time to hang at the YYC airport before boarding our flight. I've flown out of YYC before, but I'm pretty sure they added some new retail and restaurants since my last visit, as there are now plenty of options if you have time to browse or $$ to spend. We wandered over to TKBWP and were greeted promptly by a manager and seated within minutes in a comfy booth in the back. Rahul was our server and he was super friendly and knowledgeable. I was very pleasantly surprised by this as you don't often find this level of service at airport establishments. The menu is solid and after some back and forth, we decided to order a hummus and quinoa wrap and an order of avocado toast... for sides we went with a mixed green salad and chips and shared. The food was very good. We enjoyed the wrap better than the avocado toast, but we cleaned both plates and lingered a little since we had time! I'd happily return to The Kitchen on future trips and recommend you do the same. You may even want to request Rahul's section... enjoy!

Had dinner at The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck and enjoyed it. The wings were really good--crispy and full of flavor. I do wish they gave you a few more for the price, since portions felt a little light. It is on the pricey side, but that's expected here. What really stood out was the service--attentive, professional, and super friendly. Honestly, they earned an extra star just for that. Ended up being a solid experience overall. read more
Landed here for layover.. Seemed better than other choices.. Had Wolfgang in Vega and wasn't too bad so decided to give this place a try. I wasn't super hungry and I was craving wings.. So I ordered "crispy" wings Italian meat pizza and order of fries. Oh and mt dew on ice since I missed iced drink . Server was nice and attentive in the beginning but after food got delivered the entire staff was on cleaning duty and forgot about us... Oh well. Wings were not crispy haha should have known. Soggy 8 piece wings flavor weren't too bad. Never had wings with sliced carrot.. And well it was literally sliced. Fries were crispy so that was not too bad. Pizza came out pretty much after I finished the wings. Pizza was not bad either. Not the best not the worst. I had to track down my server for more soda. Over all it was not too bad, expected little better. Total was $64.05 which is around 47.12 USD before tip. I am hopping it's in CAD not USD read more

The Kitchen is one of the better restaurants in the YYC international terminal. You can sit at the bar, eat a meal and watch the big screen tv while waiting for your flight connections. Today the Rangers are knocking the socks off the Blue Jays. I have mixed feelings about this. Their menus offers small bites, flatbreads and few larger courses. Today I am taking the bartender's recommendation and having the pepperoni pizza. The bar is lightly stocked, you won't find the rare and unusual here. Still it is sufficiently served and the two bartenders are not at all lazy. read more

I wish this restaurant was in every airport I visit. We all know that airport restaurants often suck. This one doesn't! The chicken burger was delicious! I'd purchase it outside of an airport. I don't know the last time I thought that about a meal I bought in an airport. My husband's chicken wrap was good. The chips and fries good. The waiter was very mediocre - he whispered and we could barely hear him in the quiet restaurant, but that's ok, because the food was good! Since we go through Calgary regularly, this is our absolute must-go-to from now on. read more

Waiting on an early flight out of Calgary YYC a good breakfast can be had to The Kitchen. Not your average airport terminal food....good portions and flavorful. Why settle for airline food when you can prep with a well made Bloody Mary at 6 in the morning... read more

This review is for one of the takeout options from The Kitchen, part of Wolfgang Puck's fiefdom of casual sandwich/pizza establishments. All of the pre-packaged items are in the front of the restaurant, so that you can make a selection and be on your way quickly. The turkey with cheddar sandwich option was satisfactory in a pinch, although the bread was a bit soggy from the plastic package's condensation and the total excess of mayonnaise. When will the world stop assuming that everyone loves mayonnaise by the truckload?!? Also, the nutrition stats on this sandwich were staggering, so much so that it would definitely stop me from purchasing it again--1600 mg of sodium (nearly what your totally daily intake should be) and 38 grams of fat! Yikes. It definitely pays to read labels. read more

Fewer than 10 people at 5:15am, I ordered french toast. It was served lukewarm (I think the server didn't notice it was ready) and the syrup was actually cold (it came in a little plastic cup and I think the syrup canister was stored in a fridge). Intriguingly, the butter was in small canisters that seemed to be room temperature. I'm giving them 2-stars instead of 1 because it was plated nicely with chilled whipped cream and a few berries. And aside from the non-heated state of the food, it was bland. In other words, avoid this place (at least the food). read more

This place is definitely better than what you will find at most airports. If you have some time before your flight, and want better food than what is usually found at airports, then you should definitely come to The Kitchen. The butternut squash soup was amazing. I mean. Amazing. One of the best I've ever had. I'm surprised I'm saying this about airport food but... it was great. The chicken burger was pretty good. I think it could've had a little more flavor, but it had nice ingredients and was pretty tasty! Our server was not very animated but he was nice enough. He forgot about one thing we ordered, but he gave it to us to bring on the plane and even included 2 cookies and a brownie to apologize! Overall, I had a really nice lunch before my flight home! read more

My new favorite place to eat at the Calgary International Airport! What a gem! Inside the brand new International Terminal, The Kitchen is Wolfgang Puck's newest culinary adventure - and one not to be missed if you're nearby! The interior of the restaurant is comfortable and clean modern lines with just enough rustic stone, mood lighting and linens to make it homey. The menu is varied through homestyle Americana comfort food with everything from Mac & Cheese to Sandwiches and Pizza. But the real star of the show on our visit was the Chicken Milanese! Oooh! Do I have dreams of this perfectly breaded poultry cutlet goodness! Truly, it's the best one I've had in years! It's simply stated and not overdone plated next to a small green arugula salad. The breading texture is light and airy while still savory and satisfying. The cutlet is thin, tender and moist - perfect! Just the welcome addition of fresh lemon and some stone ground mustard is all that is needed. The Chicken Milanese cutlet with lemon and stone ground mustard versus the arugula salad with cherry tomatoes is the perfect balance of sweet: savory: tangy. My husband ordered the Fennel Sausage pizza with feta. He enjoyed it but I was too obsessively immersed in the Chicken Milanese to pay his dish much attention. We visited The Kitchen just a few days after the Grand Opening and were pleasantly surprised. Typically newer restaurants are a little rusty and take time to smooth out the edges, understandably. However the staff we encountered on our visit were experienced, knowledgeable about food and wine pairings, attentive and efficient. Which is awesome when you want a nice meal but need it to be within your time schedule at the airport. Really, I can't say enough good about this place. My only complaint is that there isn't one in Seattle yet... read more
Here for way too early flight home to US and stopped for breakfast during my layover. Much better than hitting the fast food junk my food and most importantly my coffee came really fast and the servers were attentive. Asked for my eggs soft and got them. Even was asked how I preferred my bacon. The spuds were REALLY good. Better than they looked! I could give it a five but the menu options were pretty limited (for a Puck's) which is why I went with the Classic Breakfast. read more

Airports are like the Wild West, there are no rules. This review gets two stars simply because I think it's hilarious to watch people chug wine at 8am while sitting at the bar. As for the rest, got the traditional breakfast and seems like tradition around here is to suck at breakfast. Bread was decent, but came with butter on the side. For $16 just butter my damn bread. Bacon was that crap tiny bacon that is more well-known for appearing on McDonald's cheeseburgers. Potatoes LOOKED good, but were very under-seasoned and not remotely crispy. Service was sloooooooooooow, one waitress and one bartender for busy airport breakfast service isn't a decent amount of staff. Call up your man Wolfgang and tell him to fix your restaurant. read more

The food was wonderful! They are still getting their legs under them where they are new, but a nice solid addition for an airport. We stopped for breakfast and ordered at the window & then found out that was the Express, when we wanted to sit at a table, but they were kind and seated us. The breakfast potatoes are the best I have ever had: tiny steamed potatoes with herbs pan fried. My BFF had a Hummus Wrap that included Tahini, Tomato Vinaigrette, Argula, Black Olives, Cucumbers, etc. It had an amazing flavor. My guy and I had a traditional breakfast with The Potatoes and Smokehouse Bacon. Very satisfying. They also had fresh squeezed Orange Juice, which I love! The service was very good. read more
