What would you like from an airport bar? Belgian has a pretty decent menu, good service and I love their decor. We had the charcuterie board and it was definitely different, but good- pickles, green beans and roasted garlic are foods I don't always see on a restaurant charcuterie but they were tasty! Of course the normal cheese and meats were on it as well. We were happy to wait here and the service was fantastic.

Surprisingly good Belgian beer bar in Terminal E of Calgary International Airport. The booth seating is a comfortable option for waiting out any flight delays. For power outlets, try the bar or the booths on the right side of the airport. If you don't need juice, the last booth on the left side has extra space for suitcases. Good music playlist and friendly servers. The beer list, surprisingly long for an airport, included several I hadn't tried before, leaving me mildly disappointed I had time for only one. I chose the St. Bernardus ABT 12, a dark and boozy quadrupel-style Belgian ale that really tingled my taste buds. What a surprise to find such an interesting beer on tap at the airport. When in Canada, they say, order the poutine - so I did. Crispy skins-on fries were piled on top of a pool of savory beef gravy, then crowned with green onions and melted cheese curds. Pretty solid, and the fries on top of the pile stayed crispy until they were ready for their gravy dunking. I added the bacon pieces for three bucks extra. My companion got the enormous salty pretzel - it came with a side of cheese fondue warmed by a mini burner. Good comfort food and beer to take the edge off of traveling.

I loved sitting and relaxing at this cafe while waiting for our flight. They have quite a few Belgian beers on draught including delirium. My fave comes in bottle form - tripel karmeliet. Pair your beer with one of their ridiculously huge pretzels with a side of cheese. Service was on point. We were in and out exactly when we needed to be to get to our gate. If you're not into Belgian beer, they have a variety of other alcoholic beverages also. This is a pretty cool spot to stop at to kill some time at the airport. 5 solid stars and definitely a go to if I'm ever back in Calgary.

This place was open very early today when I arrived for my flight out. I didn't expect much to be open at 5:30 AM on a Sunday...but it was! (Given a choice between fast food row fare for the morning meal and someplace with beer mimosas, Eggs Benedict w/Hoegaarden hollandaise sauce, sirloin steak and eggs, et cetera, guess which one I chose?) The Belgian Beer Cafe has an extensive beer menu of Belgian beers on draught and in the bottle. It has a better selection than most tap houses. It's quite difficult to choose what to order, since so many are available to o choose from from. The three of us all chose the steak 'n eggs. One chose the Delirium tremens as his beverage, and I selected the Früli Strawberry witbier. The third person didn't think she wanted beer so early in the day, so she had water. The service was quick and the food was very good! Whoever is working the kitchen grill knows how to do up a medium-rare beef steak, as ordered. The eggs were cooked over-easy as requested, too. The steak fries were crispy on the outside and tasted good! The Hoegaarden hollandaise was rich and tasty over the fries and eggs. If you're fortunate enough to be passing through Calgary airport, stop here for a drink and a meal if you have time. The früli was delicious. It tasted like "a smoothie with a little bite" to it. It was smoothe and fruity, and not overly sweet.

Great place for a beer or drink along with food while waiting on a plane. They have a full bar and a hige selection of import beers. I usually have breakfast. They have some really creative breakfast bowls. My favorite bowl is the Nomad with spinach, poached eggs, Hoegaarden hollidase, cheese curds, potato's, and bacon! The classic breakfast is great as well. I haven't tried the waffles but they have liege waffles! Of course the fries are delicious if you don't want an entire meal. I need to try a burger next time because they look pretty good. Their menu is one of the largest I've seen at an airport. Staff is great also. I took away a star though for the terrible music they play way to loud

Maybe I was hungry when I came here. So I was flying out from YYC airport to the USA and due to the flight delay, I can take no more. I was hungry. I didn't want to have food court junk. So I wanted a sit down place and decided to choose this restaurant (there are only two sit down restaurants). Looks like good selections of beer. I wanted something to munch on and so I got the wings. Salt and pepper. I am surprised that they didn't over salt or peppered the wings. Love that fact. Even though it was over cooked but it tasted really good with the ranch sauce. Not sure why. Place is super busy. But I enjoyed the food here and the relaxation of sitting here. Food came quick.

Was surprised how good this "airport" food was. Great music and service as well. We were served fairly fast and had a very nice waitress. Enjoyed our time here while we waited for our flight.

My flight is delayed by two hours, so killing time here is actually not bad. Service is fantastic- the brunette with ponytail is friendly and makes a mean Caesar drink. Music is fun - lots of 90s hip hop for us old broads.

Fruli is a delicious summer brew!!

Really good, but very expensive. Our waitress was very nice, though. Especially good service for an Airport

However, at the time I had a 3 hour layover, and I thought that maybe I will drop by and have some wine and grab a bite of food. The service I received was really good! The waiters were very quick (even though there was only 2 of them and they were busy as heck) and accommodating, so that was definitely a non-issue. I opted for an appetizer because I am always paranoid that I will miss my flight :') It took about an hour and a half for my appy to arrive (I ordered the hummus platter... It should not have taken that long). What was even more disappointing is that the Mediterranean salad which came with my food had a bunch of rotten veggies in it. The waiter apologized profusely and said that she will get me a replacement right away; she asked if I preferred to get another salad or if I wanted to grab the chips instead. I opted for the chips and went my way. Honestly, I did not have high expectations coming in. I just wanted a quick bite with some wine, but the establishment really ended up disappointing me. I am not sure if I will be coming back; part of me wants to try them out on their better days (if I ever end up at YYC again), and part of me is just scarred about that bowl of rotting, slimey veggies.

It's a pretty small place right beside gate C70-79 in the Calgary airport. There's about a dozen tables, a small bar, and a fairly long counter that would seat probably a dozen more, so a great place to sit and watch for your flight updates as you can see most of the gates from your seat. Alas, they do not have accessible power outlets at the tables though, which is a down side, but there's plenty of power outlets nearby once you leave as there's a little business station thing with stools and a counter to sit at and work. And honestly there isn't any other restaurant option close to this gate, so if you want to sit down and eat, here you are. They have only 4 beers on tap (2 of which are Molson Canadian and Coors) but they do seem to have an okay bottled selection. The menu looked pretty good, I wasn't too hungry so I just had the soup of the day which was potato and bacon, with a side of garlic break and was actually DELICIOUS, so thumbs up for that. I'd certainly eat here again next time I'm in transit, I'm interested to see if the other menu items are as good as the soup was.
