We didn't get to stay too long since we still had a lot of traveling to do, but we would definitely stop here again when we're in Calgary and we'd recommend it to anyone who's in the area.

We sat on the back porch overlooking the busy road with lots of excavating going on across the street but it added to the experience. Our server was incredibly efficient and made the meal even better. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the honey garlic wings with onion rings. The guys ordered beers of choice and we girls had club soda with lime - a $3.00 charge. Some places it's free. The food was so much we didn't finish even though we split a meal. Where the critic takes a bit of the food and goes back to his childhood. I have had that happen to me at least FOUR times either eating or drinking something for the first time. In total that has happened to me probably 8 times since I moved to Calgary, the other times have all been single experiences at different restaurants. The food menu is a bit pricey, as well as the beer, but you are not paying the jacked up price of another restaurant that is carrying a Dandy product. Shall not be the last visit for any of us, and although I'm a long, long way from home I intend to seek the Sisters out any time I'm visiting. Had the "Philsner" pilsner which had a strong touch of hops but not enough to deter from what I like in one. Also couldn't resist a sample of their stout which had a bit of sweetness to it. I approve of their treatment. An order of wings with some blue cheese dip disappeared quickly. The interior is sparse and the entire brewing area is openly visible to all seated. When we arrived there were but a handful of people and I assumed, wrongly, that might have indicated the general opinion about the food and beer. By the time we left an hour later it was packed. And in a good sign, this included families with kids and grandma and gramps in tow. There's a nice inviting outdoor patio space that would be delightful in warmer weather. My server was the fantastic Jackie. Down-to-earth friendliness, efficient and helpful. We got along very well. I opted for their Fortunella Gin with Tonic. Fantastic flavors and quite smooth. Two of those and I was feeling fine. For lunch I ordered the Steak Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The salad was substantial and tasty. The steak sandwich had good flavor, but was tougher and fattier than I hoped for. Jackie also offered exceptional assistance with some merchandise I bought as well. It's not a huge place, but it happened to be a weekday afternoon so there was plenty of space for us. Not sure how crowded it gets in the evenings, but it looked like it could be a popular hangout. They were also working on a patio area so I'm sure come spring or summer it'll be a cool place to hang out. We got a couple of flights to share and played one of the board games they had--a nice relaxing way to spend an afternoon. We thought the beers were pretty solid; if we lived around there I'm sure we'd be regulars.
