Squash Soup and half kale salad.

Nice casual brewery with patio lights and an outdoor patio and a warmer upstairs. 2 large garage doors. They do serve food which is a bonus. They have soups and salads too. And bowl dishes. A step up in price from your local pub food. Pleasant spot overall. They have a decent selection of beers including porters. Ample free parking and staff were helpful. Half a kale salad is good for most.

First time going and definitely won't be the last! The service was great and the food was even better! Pretty quiet during the week day which makes it perfect for a relaxing patio date! 10/10 recommend!!

As of late, I've been on a massive brewpub kick. I'd heard great things about Bitter Sisters and I put them high on my hit list. And guess what? They also have a patio--you can make your beer drinking dreams a reality. RATING: 9/10 - Bitter Sisters As usual, I ordered a flight to taste as many beer as possible. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. I've tried the Berry Shortcake Sour--sounds weird I realize but I wanted to see what else Bitter sister had in store. Moody Morning Joe Porter did it for me. Anything that tastes like coffee and I'm in! My sis and I decided to share a couple of menu items. As cheese lovers the Baked Burrata stood out for us. Burrata has a firm outer layer, soft and creamy inside. This one was breaded and fried to perfection. The cheese oozed everywhere. Dolloped onto the crostini along with the fresh homemade pesto, Marzano tomato sauce, and voila: cheesy heaven. We also tried the Nashville Chicken Sandwich--a brewery standard and almost always a good choice. The chicken was perfectly spicy and crispy. I liked the chipotle aioli for its smokiness and the broccoli slaw for its crunch. This was just right for sharing! Good brewpub fare and beer is the way to my heart. Bitter Sisters knocked it out of the park.

Server was inattentive and a bit stand offish.. made some unnecessary comments. The beer was absolutely horrendous and the food was ok.

The service can be slow, but the service and servers are very good and polite. The food is awesome, it's pub-grub taken up a notch!

After navigating several adjacent and interlocking traffic…read morecircles after several tries we got to our destination - the Wild Rose Brewery tap house at the old Currie Barracks -- Canadian Forces Base Calgary and had a very enjoyable meal. We'd all heard from friends that the site was an excellent place for beer and a meal and so were anxious to try it out. The tap house is in the refurbished garage on the base. One of the guys was familiar with it in its previous incarnation as a member of the Canadian forces. So we we had a chunk of the evening related to a his adventures there. There's also a "Buy Gear" booth and a beer store in case you want to buy a souvenir flat of their product. We got the the Barracks Brown Ale. The food was excellent - I had a really tasty and large bison burger with a green salad as a nod to healthy dining. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Based on the fact that the site offered a selection serving of the breweries wares delivered on a heavy wooden tray they also were physically imposing at least as far a forearm strength goes The tap house is also dog friendly. Like The Hague. The dogs were well behaved and quiet and the owners appreciated the attention given the critters by other patrons.

The brewery has a casual and inviting atmosphere and the workers were very nice. We tried an IPA and a raspberry ale and the IPA was better overall than the fruit beer, but we enjoyed them both overall. We had some French onion soup and chips and queso and both were very tasty overall. We didn't get to stay too long since we still had a lot of traveling to do, but we would definitely stop here again when we're in Calgary and we'd recommend it to anyone who's in the area.

Atmosphere- large, bright, open. I prefer classic dark cozy pubs, but some might like this. I noticed a pile of board games in the back which could be fun with the right groups. Food- we got the charcuterie and poutine. The Charcuterie was decent. Poutine was advertised with gravy, cheese and green onions- however when it came the "green onion" was simply a garnish. Not worth the price as it was not that good. In fact sadly, most if not all of their food is overpriced and even higher priced than their LAST overpriced menu. For example... you can get a beef dip or wrap for $17... but if you want a side its an additional $2-3. How rediculous for subpar pub style food! The table behind us even left after loudly exclaiming at the food prices on the menu. It seems that most restaurants offer reasonably priced food and make it up on drinks. These guys are the opposite with reasonable drinks and astronomical food. Overall opinion - I would go for drinks again but will NEVER purchase food again here based on the principle of overpriced mediocrity.
