Indoor playground is so nice.
Emina L.

First day here and my kids walked in and absolutely are loving it! Very clean, spacious, bright, and lots of variety of toys! Area for parents is also available so you can leave your drinks and snacks/food! We will definitely make this our regular playground to come to!

This place is awesome for toddler's and young kids. Our girls always have a great time playing indoors.

What a lovely park. We have family in town that we often visit and I've always driven by this park…read morewhen I venture out to get my Amped Coffee (yum!), so we decided to come back and bring the little one. We came here on Friday when there were very few people and we really enjoyed ourselves. If you have young kids...hot tip: Stop at the grocery store before coming here and buy a cheap loaf of bread to feed the birds. As a parent, I think that was the highlight of the visit. Feeding the birds: SO MUCH FUN! We brought a $2 loaf of bread and spent some time feeding the birds. My daughter shared with many other kids and boy, it was a joy to see them all light up and enjoy this activity. The birds will flock to you so it's a really fun activity for the kids. The playground: My daughter has not played on a playground since March when covid shut everything down here in San Diego/Carlsbad. So, after wiping down a few bars for her to climb on, she was in heaven climbing and being a kid. Maybe it's COVID fatigue or just the pure joy seen on my 5 year olds face, it was enough for me to be a bit more relaxed. I didn't have enough Clorox wipes to wipe down the entire playground...but sigh...the chances we take. She had fun going up and down that 3 story slide. The Train: For non-residents, we paid $4/each to ride the train and for a parent, I'd say it was ok. My daughter absolutely loved it though. Perhaps it was because they had the sprinklers going and we got really wet. Even though it was chilly, it made it more fun - maybe they should do that regularly. = ) It was a very short ride but a nice little 10-15 minute ride for the kiddos. I can't imagine kids over the age of 7 being thrilled about it but for my 5 year old, she loved it! During COVID, they block off every other seat/train car so you are safely distanced from others. We also brought plenty of wipes to wipe down seats and parts of the carts that we touched, like the railings etc. I did not see them do this in between rides. We didn't spend more than 2 hours here but it was a great way to spend the afternoon. We had so much fun, we returned on Saturday but there were far more people than the day before. We weren't really comfortable with the huge crowds so we just fed the birds and rode the train again. It was still tons of fun for us. At the very least, I'm sure we'll be back to feed the birds when we are back in the area.

Aside from having to wait an hour for the train to be repaired the experience was great…read more Unfortunately my grandson age 7 started to have heat stroke before the ride was fixed. We had to get him in the car and gave him water and we had left when half way back to Phoenix we got the text the train was fixed. We drove back and the ride is great. 10 min. But repair work should be done on the days the train does not run especially when you are taking about hot weather about 110 degrees daily even in the morning.

It's also a great spot to entertain and tire out the kids! Lol There's even a Ferris wheel, but it was way too hot for us to ride. We also found a photo booth near the restrooms ($8), which was a fun little bonus. It's conveniently located near OdySea, Topgolf, and Talking Stick, and it's super easy to get to from the freeway. If you're visiting during the summer, I'd recommend saving the outdoor walking for the cooler months and spending the hotter afternoons indoors at OdySea.

1 Star - Dangerous and disappointing experience on the Big Wheel…read more I rode the Boardwalk Big Wheel at Arizona Boardwalk today with my two young boys, ages 2 and 4. The experience was honestly terrible and, more importantly, felt unsafe. It was 105°F outside, and we were placed in the orange #15 gondola. The gondolas are primarily enclosed by glass and have no effective air conditioning. The AC in ours was clearly broken and was blowing hot air instead of cooling the cabin. Within minutes, all three of us were drenched in sweat and the heat inside was becoming extremely uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that the attendant locked us inside the gondola despite the extreme heat. We waved at her to let us out, but she didn't. We went around the entire wheel and, when we came back around, we waved again. She saw us, but still didn't open the door. I ultimately had to yell and knock on the glass to get her attention before she finally let us out after the second trip around. When we got off, I explained what had happened to the attendant. Her response was essentially an unenthusiastic, unapologetic "sorry." There was no concern about whether my children or I were okay, no offer to move us to a functioning gondola, and no refund or other attempt to make the situation right. I paid $22.71 for the ride, but the money isn't really the issue. What concerns me is putting young children into an enclosed, extremely hot gondola with a malfunctioning cooling system and then failing to respond when the passengers are clearly asking to get out. I would strongly recommend that Arizona Boardwalk inspect and properly maintain these gondolas and, more importantly, make sure attendants respond immediately when passengers are signaling that they need to exit. I would not recommend riding the Boardwalk Big Wheel, particularly with young children in extreme heat.

AMAZINNNNNGGGG!!!!!! This is a multi-room place you can go and bring your friends for fun…read moreactivities. The rooms range from activities that have strength, brain teasers, teamwork, and more. It's such a great bonding opportunity and allows you to have fun with whoever you bring with phones down. Parking is NO issue at all at this location. They have so many spots available given the strip outlet location it's in. I do recommend not wearing any thick or heavy clothes and bringing as little items as possible, because you will be moving A LOT and sweating will be your enemy. They have a bar and restaurant as well, but we didn't get a chance to go. Definitely will be back, and next time need to go for 4 hours! I think we did 2 hours and it didn't feel like enough time.

The premise is similar to an escape room, but there are several themed, interactive rooms that you try to progress through. Each room has a 3 minute time limit and if you pass the first challenge, a door opens to another room. Each themed room has 3 challenges total. We all had a lot of fun working together as a team. The rooms are hard to complete (at least for us lol) and some of the rooms required more physical ability. There are employees there to help you as requested, which helps if you get stuck on what you're supposed to do. The rooms are well put together, theme-wise, which adds to the experience of the challenges. There were a lot of people there, which meant a long waiting time. I feel as though we did more waiting than we did inside the rooms. Although, it didn't help that several rooms broke or weren't functioning correctly throughout the night. There's also a bar in the back where you can grab drinks and food, if you so choose. I would recommend waiting until after the experience since you have a 2 hour time limit. Overall, Bam Kazam is a unique activity to get a group of friends or family together for a night of fun and challenges! I would definitely go back again, but perhaps on a weekday or a time that would be less busy.

I paid online for 90 minutes and decided to give it a shot even though I thought it was a little ridiculous that I had to pay for myself when I wasn't even going to participate--I was going to be wearing my baby the entire time. But then we get checked in and I'm told I have to pay an additional $20 for socks. $5 for each person. That really rubbed me the wrong way. The website did not make it clear that socks were an additional charge, and if I had known, I absolutely would have brought our own grippy socks from home. Finding out about an unexpected $20 fee after already paying online feels misleading. The actual facility may be nice, but I really don't like the way the pricing was presented. If socks are required, the cost should be clearly stated upfront when purchasing tickets--not something you find out at check-in.

Everybody who comes here must sign a waiver, every adult in your group that is. You can sign the waiver using their kiosk system or you can scan their QR code near the kiosk and sign it that way. This place is like Chucky Cheese but much better. Lots and lots of interactive play for little kids: bounce house, wide length slides, trampoline, wall climbing while harnessed, video games, and lots of open space running around in this large facility. We mostly saw kids from pre-k to about middle school age. This place gets loud and crowded so make sure to always keep track of your kids as there's lots of areas for them to explore here. We came here for my nephew's 3 year birthday and he loved it. He loved it so much, my nephew immediately started crying when he was told that it was time to go home. I read some other people's reviews that weren't as positive as this one. Feel free to ignore those, they're just coming from individuals experiencing karma from poor life choices: bad divorces, estranged friends and family, ultra low self esteem, financial mistakes, untreated mental health, etc. Those people need a check up from the neck up. Give those anger magnets some space and let them work things out on their own. This place is Yelp approved !!!!! I highly recommend Uptown Jungle Fun Park. If you want a fun place for your children in Phoenix, this is a guaranteed spot they will enjoy.

Slick City on Thunderbird Rd in Glendale is now one of my favorite places to show off to friends…read moreand visitors. Among all the different slides there is something for everyone from 6 (my grandkid) to 76 (me)! Although they are all fun, my favorite slide is the Python, followed by the Royal Flush. But I recommend you try all the slides! This is a great place for birthday parties, there's a cafe and lots of tables overlooking the playing floor. There is also a special area with toddler-size activities. One thing I especially like about Slick City is that through the adventure of slides, it teaches children self confidence and helps give them the courage to overcome fear in a healthy environment. Granddaughter (7 yrs) climbed up to the top of one of the tallest slides, only to start crying from fear and then she'd climb back down. 15 minutes later she'd go up again, only to come down, defeated by her fear. She kept it up (learning determination) until she finally found the courage to slide down from the top. The smile on her now self-confident face was priceless. She had conquered her fear! She went back and rode that slide again at least 10 times. The place is pricey but well worth it. Note: you must purchase a pair of their special traction socks in the slide areas. They do not allow any other brand, so save yours for subsequent trips.

This location has been about a mile from our house for a while, but I never took her because I didn't realize they had a separate area for children five and under. The five-and-under area was much smaller and less fun than the one in Scottsdale. Even though admission for that area is cheaper than regular admission, it still came to about $19 after tax for 90 minutes. I realize that's pretty comparable to other children's play places, but at that price, I still expect my toddler to have a good time. Instead, I had to keep persuading her to stay and play because she was bored and wanted to go into the larger kids' section, which isn't safe for her age. There also isn't a gate to keep younger kids inside the little-kid area. At the Scottsdale location, we stayed for almost three hours, and I never had to persuade her to keep playing. The "arcade," if you can even call it that, was also really disappointing. I bought a $10 game card, but there were only a few games, and some weren't working. The claw machines had cheap-looking prizes, while most of the other working games seemed better suited for older kids or teenagers. The whole area looked dumpy and thrown together, like they didn't put much thought or effort into it. I also think it's ridiculous that a waiver signed at one Slick City location doesn't carry over to another. I had already completed one for Scottsdale but had to fill out another one here. They really should have a company-wide system. I was happy to learn that the Thunderbird location had a five-and-under area because it's so close to us, but after this experience, I would still rather drive 32 miles to Scottsdale. Thunderbird really needs to improve and expand the younger-kids' area so it's actually worth the price. They also need to make the arcade bigger, fix the broken machines, and make it feel like a real arcade. If they don't plan to put more effort into it, they would honestly be better off removing it. What they have now just feels like a cheap attempt at an arcade. I hate writing 1 star reviews, but when I do, it's because I hope that the business owners can take note and make improvements. I would love to come back to this location if changes are made.
