Fast service. I needed a second key and remote for my daughters car. Was given various quotes, most either didn't have the remote, or wanted me to drive to Modesto. I live in Stockton, time is money. It was not worth the few dollars of savings to spend 2+ hours to get a key made. The Key Guy came to my place, made the key while I was working in the garage. I didn't have to take time out of my already busy day. Fast and efficient service. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. read more

Very fast service. I called 5 other locksmith around my area and was given a quote for $199 and up for them to come and The Key guy answered my call and gave me a very reasonable price and came to do the service within the next hour and half. worst service ever me and my friend were both girls have used this man to reprogram our cars to make us a new keys. The key works. The car cranks, but the problem is is that the transponder doesn't read the key so the car won't start up on mine or my homegirl's car. We've called him several times to come out and redo it because we paid him almost $500 to make us a key and program the car and yet he's telling me that he doesn't feel like coming out here he doesn't have time unless night now I'm sorry, but unless in the middle of the night or had some reason to be up in I sleep at night and I have a child to take care so therefore that's not gonna work for me if you could come during business that would be great, but because he simply doesn't feel like doing it he told me sorry too bad and called me. Basically called me stupid because he said I don't know anything about The Key reprogramming keys. I know that every fucking YouTube site I've been on tells me it's a transponder and that's exactly what the fuck the problem is. It's a trans responder so it's really nice to know. I just paid you almost $500 for nothing. Oh you did make me a key but I did have to pay for the four you fucked up. Thanks so much. Don't use this guy very unprofessional very own business like very ridiculous. You're gonna have to call him back just to come back and fix the problem he didn't do. read more

The key guy was able to get to my husband Saturday morning within an hour at a decent price was fast and reliable

the gentleman on the phone was very unprofessional, and doesn't have any customer service skills, doesn't know where he services or not, asks you where you live 4 times and still don't know if he services in the surrounding area or not, has an attitude problem, honestly choose any other service but these guys, their horrible, claims someone cussed at him, i guess being called unprofessional and not understanding area codes will make someone upset. read more

I called for the Key Guys services alittle under a month ago. He helped me get the keys out of my 2007 BMW out of locked trunk with the keys inside. I called 4 other guys to see if they can open my car. None were successful until the Key guy showed up. Fast, easy, and helpful. Thank you again! read more

I messaged the company via website to get an estimate to cut a key which is attached to the fob. A person called me from The Key Guy and was very rude and unprofessional as I told him I was looking for an estimate. I told him that I already had the key and fob and that I only need the key to be cut. He told me that he would not accept the key and fob that I already had. He quoted me around $400-$500. He told me if I was ready. I replied that I was looking around for the best price. He just cut me off and hung up...you need to built up your customer service skills! I end up calling the vehicle's dealer. They told me that the'll cut my key for FREE! The key guy I is just a rip-off read more

Someone moved out and did not leave the key behind. The doorknob was installed upside down and they were able to pick the lock without destroying it. It went quick and smooth. He even showed up earlier than promised which was great! read more

Don't even know where to start. At least he's prompt. He does not guarantee his work. He won't refund your money.. hell just blame you for whatever the reason is he can't program your car keys. I'm not sure how my car alarm and buttons worked before but now they don't. Just go to Honda or whatever your dealer is. At least if there's something else wrong they'll know what it is. He just kept taking guesses and saying it was my car. My old keys got burned I'm a house fire so my car was locked before he even started. Nothing wrong with it. read more

this company is rude I asked If he can come do a service call on a vehicle he tells me yes and then proceeds to acting weird as if he doesn't want our business and instead of just letting me know he cant get it done he insults me by saying "I don't know what you got going on over there...." as if what I'm trying to have him come out for is illegal. I'm not tolerating no disrespect from this company he clearly got me messed all the way up.. As a business choosing to even do business with you i'm pretty much guaranteeing payment but this clown wants to be disrespectful instead of just turning the business down respectfully. I hope they go out of business and I will do my best to shit on them every chance I get. they earned a enemy today read more

Prices were way too high, I have a 2004 Lexus rx330 and I needed to buy a new key fob and has it cut but he was asking for $300 and wouldn't accept a separate key fob I could buy else where. Luckily I did some research and bought the key fob that was uncut on amazon for $30 bucks and I found a place that will program and cut the key for me, $20 to cut and $50 to program the fob in a different city not too far from Stockton which is a 30min drive. So if anyone wants that information just friend me or add me and I'll let you know. I don't recommend this place based on this experience. Even the Lexus dealership would charge roughly the same price or close to it I would think. read more

Never use a locksmith until you've contacted the dealership first. I contacted 3 locksmith's and they all wanted around $150 to make me a key after I lost all my keys. So I asked them to sell me a blank key and I'd have my friend cut it; they refuse to sell me the key. So I call the dealership and not only do they sell me the blank key for only $13.00 but they also cut it for free!!! The other thing you want to consider is your car insurance company. I have the minimum insurance and they offered to have my key cut for free but I did have to pay for the key. Of course the rip off locksmith tried to say my key was $144!! So I said no way and went and got everything done for $13 read more

Roman was quick and straight to the point! I gave him a call because I locked myself out of my vehicle while at work, he estimated an hour wait but arrived in 45 mins, and got the car unlocked within 10 minutes! He does his quotes on cash but accepts credit and debit cards as well. read more

Called this guy to see if he was the original guy who gave me an awesome quote to program some keys that were already cut to my car. When I told him of my quoted price he told me it wasn't credible and was rude and said that they would run it through my insurance and that it would still be out of pocket for about $110- $160. He ended the call very abruptly. Finally got ahold of the original guy and got 3 keys programmed for my car for the original quoted price of $50. If you're looking for quality customer service and great prices and someone who doesn't basically call you a liar and practically hang up on you, message me and I'll send you to the guy I went through. read more

Terrible experience with Roman. Very disappointed with the service he provided. I spent $121.00 on re-keying 3 dead bolts in my house. He neglected to tell me that he provided only 2 keys with the service. If he would have told me this during our phone conversation I would have found some else to do the work. I called him the following day and ask if there was any possible way to get a single key made and he rudely said "no". While I was trying to plead my case he abruptly hung up on me in mid sentence. If you need a locksmith do not call him. Extremely rude and misleading. I will tell everyone I know in Manteca not to use The Key Guy. Erik Hasal read more

Wow, Roman, "The Key Guy" was awesome. I have an 06 Infinity and I lost my keys the other day. I called around for a new key that could be cut and programmed and the cost was going to be right around 400.00. That price was if I were to tow my vehicle to the location. Roman not only charged almost less than half of the others but he also came out to my home. Roman gave me a brand new factory fob programmed with the new key cut. He was able to order the key and complete the whole job in less than a day. Roman the Key Guy is honest, dependable and trustworthy. Thanks Roman. read more

Well, my husband's only key to his car broke off in his trunk while at work. We seriously thought it was going to be super stressful to get a key made. I called a few places and stumbled upon The Key Guy. He had the best prices, was super friendly and said he could be out within a half hour! This guy thinks he knows it all! I called him with a request and he tried to tell me what I have and didn't want to understand what I was trying to explain to him. Called this guy about cutting my 98 lincoln continental and I was floored with the poor customer service. He spoke down upon me when I tried to explain my situation regarding my car. For me to go out of my way to write a review truly means that I was the victim of poor treatment, lack of customer service, and more importantly I'm highly upset and dissatisfied. I want to proclaim to anyone that is even considering this business for service... Do not... take your business elsewhere where you will be treated with respect and your business will be valued. This business WILL NOT GET A SECOND BITE AT THE APPLE... truth be told, I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst of enemies.
