Look, this place is not going to be rated 3 stars by the Michelin guide. But treat it as it should be expected and it will not disappoint. We were at snowshoe between Christmas and New Years so obviously peak season. Everywhere was on a long wait but our waiter Chase treated our arty of 6 like we were important. Food Came out fast, Service with a smile and a Laugh. We had a. Couple of good brisket Philly sandwiches, Mac and cheese with bbq, wings. All Were Solid or better. No regrets going. read more

We had take out breakfast from this restaurant one morning and dinner at the bar one night. The breakfast was pretty good except for the scrambled eggs were cooked like an omelette (overcooked imo). The potatoes, bacon, and pancakes were good. Dinner was mediocre at best. I ordered the pretzel app and a burger. Nothing special especially for the price. The bartender was great. Drinks were good. read more

Tried to eat here for dinner. No luck. Tried to eat here again for dinner. No luck again. Just tried to grab lunch and we were turned away at the door. 2 of us. Not a group. 2 people. Hire new management. What a joke. read more

Good food, great location, mediocre service. As with any resort location, expect long wait times at peak hours. We were surprised how sparsely staffed the place was on a super busy tourist weekend. The food well prepared but lacked seasoning. The steak was cooked to perfection, however the side dishes were not. We expected more from this places based on recommendations and reviews, but likely won't visit again since there are many better options close by. read more

Made a reservation for 7pm, when we checked in at 7:01, we were told it would be 30-35 minutes. To quote Seinfeld, isn't the point of a reservation the keeping of the reservation? Why were 4 people in front of us with no reservation? We finally got a table in the bar, it's been 1.5 hours and we are still waiting on our food. Could it be worse? Yes, but cmon, this is pretty ridiculous. The poor waitstaff, the restaurant definitely needs new Mgmt. The place is a disaster. Time to start handing out free food. Figure it out guys. SMH. read more

This place sucks!! went to and put our names down for a wait for 50 mins then went back to grab a drink before our designated time. the host was rude and kept telling us an hour each time was asked about seating. Oh well, they lost 5 customers and tips even after we ordered drinks. The pizza slice across from them is way better with more genuine service. laughable for an "expensive classy restaurant " that doesn't even wait on their clientele. read more

Everything sucks. Food was awful and lacked flavor. Service wasn't good either. Don't come here.

The wait was long, but that's to be expected. The food was great, and so were the waiters.

Table we were sat at still had empty glasses and beer cans on it. Took 15 mins to get waited on at all. Drinks came out and I got a completely incorrect drink on a simple order. I have dietary restrictions and after asking the wait staff to check for ingredients but the chef stated "they don't know" what is in their own food. I know there aren't many restaurant options on the mountain but don't go here unless you are eating at the bar because the bartenders were ok. read more

They offer vegetarian, gluten free, and fit skier options. Otherwise the menu consists of some heavy options anywhere from shepherd's pie, burgers and sandwiches, hearty appetizers including venison chili to lighter sides like salads and soup of the day. Service wasn't terrible, but one thing we noticed at every place dined at in Snowshoe was service definitely was not at its peak. No pun intended. It was slow moving and they'd get to you when they got to it. I highly suggest that you look at your silverware before eating off of it. They had to bring me new silverware twice due to food remanence and it not being washed. I'm not complaining about watermarks. I'm complaining about soap and food residue. Third time was a charm and I got silverware that was not messed up. Cute ambiance! It has a full bar with high-top chairs at it, tons and tons and tons of seating, but do expect to be put on a wait list. This place was packed every time we checked in to see if there was any availability. It deserves 3 stars. My significant other says it deserves a 3.5. If he wants to make that decision then he can write a review. I'm sticking to my guns. It's a 3. read more

No booze served til 1 pm. The fact that I know this makes me feel like an alcoholic. Located in the Village by the slopes, Junction offers a spacious interior and a comparatively acceptable tap list to the other bars on the mountain. Service was lacking despite our convenient bar seats, but the food here was the most promising of our trip. Vegetable soup with saltines was pretty standard, but the venison chili won us over. The chunks of game were not well-presented, but it was every bit the source of homey warmth we needed to fuel the rest of our afternoon. By the end of our soup cups, we gave up hope on my iced tea ever showing and paid our bill. read more

Why people give 2-star reviews of this place is beyond me. We ate/drank here several times during our 4-day visit and, overall, we were satisfied. Know your location! If you're on top of a mountain in West Virginia, please understand that you may need to adjust expectations accordingly. That said, they have a great selection of beer and the food is decent. I personally tried the ribs, bacon cheeseburger, potato wedges, fries and fried goat cheese; all were very tasty, but my favorite is the ribs. Flying Dog's Raging Bitch IPA is their high line draft, but it's like 9.5%, so beware! We had friendly servers and bartenders, made new friends and generally enjoyed ourselves whilst keeping warm. Aside from fairly slow service, I would recommend this as your hangout in Snowshoe. read more

Went there to eat and the jacuzzi on top of the restaurant broke and flooded the building came back the next day and they had sewer issue finally got into the establishment and the bartender Kathleen was super rude the manager Bryan was was more worried about his social status then attending to customers my wife had to wait 15 minites for a ceasar salad I mean really we will never to return to this place or recommend this place to anyone ever. read more

We had a great experience, the service was very friendly and responsive. The food is good - burgers, potstickers, chicken wings were great, wedge salad is huge, mussels were just ok. Great selection of beer and great location read more

I downloaded Yelp just so I could leave a review. Don't waste your time or money. Horrible service. Rude restaurant staff. Waiter didn't come to the table for 15 minutes after we sat. Took more than 45 minutes to get our food. 2 meals were delivered 30 minutes after the others. 4 different items were delivered to the table that we didn't order. Drinks and appetizers were duplicated on the bill. Bill was $45 more than it should've been. No apology for poor service. Refused to take off one of the items that was incorrectly delivered to the table. Oh, and the food sucks. read more

Breakfast spot mostly. Food is good and fair priced. Service from J Wright was on point. Very attentive and helpful with suggestions on menu. Overall perfect spot every morning for the family and I before we hit the slopes. It's not the only breakfast spot in the village but I felt best value all around. read more

Three stars for deviled eggs! I mean, seriously, who doesn't love deviled eggs? They're pretty standard though, much like what grandma would make, minus the paprika and plus a little bacon. Other than that unique appetizer, though, this place didn't do much for the palate. I had the turkey sandwich, which was big slabs of cold turkey on thick white bread. The fries were good. But I ordered an Old Fashioned, and while I give the bartender credit for steering me away from their rail whiskey (McCormicks? Who I hear also make tequila?)... When he did put my drink together, it arrived with no ice, and (though he used Jim Beam) tasted lemony and just wrong. I kindly sent it back and ordered Beam & slice o orange. read more

Nope just nope! I have never been to a place with such rude employees. Especially Diego! We had a reservation for 8 people and he told us the system wasn't working so they didn't have a table and it was really just too bad for us. No I'm sorry or I'll do my best. Just too bad. And then several other employees came out and we're just as rude about it. We left. If the food is as bad as the management then don't even take a chance. Run away! read more

Good food, but expect a loooong wait. I guess when you go over holiday weekend like we did that's to be expected. But the atmosphere is really cozy and warm after being on the mountain all day. I recommend their Snowshoe Hot Chocolate (it's spiked with some liquid goodness). read more

The junction is really good food on the mountain the food is great and the supervisor was amazing they will treat you right!

Went inside at 4:00 PM and saw the menu said no entrees until 5:00 PM we debated on leaving so we would open the table but the waitress said it was okay. We were told we were the first to order at 5:00 and excited to get our food. While waiting the waitress was very slow at bringing us refills and I asked for a drink menu which she brought to me but didn't come back over for 25 mins for me to put the drink order in. She finally came over and took the order of course that took a while to come. After waiting a hour and half for out food (6:30pm) we decided we were done listening to waitresses telling us you're the next one and left. Also the table behind us got there at 5:45 ordered 3 of the same things we did and got the food quickly. This place really sucks. I recommend the pizza place to or firefox grill!! read more

Poor service and the food was cold once we got it. We sat down immediately and didn't get waited on till 30 minutes later. The food is over priced, for an example: $3 for one egg or one toast if that says anything. read more

This place should be shut down. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait. After an hour and 15 and raising hell we finally got a table. When the food came it was cold. It was terrible. Breakfast is only served until 10:30 am, which is not advertised any where. Service was lackluster. The restaurants atmosphere and feel is excellent, but a true pity management is not up to par. Prices are fair. Would stick with Cheat Mountain Pizza over The Junction. Good pizza and excellent service. read more

This place is HORRIBLE. It's not the wait staff- they are booked one for the entire room and working so hard. It's the food. Omg this is literally the worst place I've ever eaten ever. It took 90 minutes to get food that tasted microwaved and flavorless and I'm more than slightly worried I've got some pending food poisoning fallout. Everything was so over cooked and the fries tasted shockingly like rotten somehow. Please don't go here. If there was a lower rating than one...... read more

Friendly staff and decent food. A little more expensive than i thought. Shoutout to frank! Great server!

This place was great! I got a burger (best burger I've ever had); it was a bit pricy ($18) but that is normal for here. The customer service was amazing (shoutout to Monica our waitress). There was a 30 minute wait but that was just because we went at a busy time. Would recommend. read more

Food was good but the service was better . We had Summer as our waitress and she was excellent!

A-OK: - Nachos with cheese and venison chili. Could have used more chili, and I couldn't tell it was venison. But what the hell do I know - I don't get to sample Bambi on a regular basis here in VA. Definitely could have used more salsa. Heaping pile of nachos, and one thimble sized cup. - The waffle fries. Wish I could have just eaten these with the chili. - The draft ale. I have no idea what I was drinking. It was dark, fermented and didn't taste like Coors. Good nuff. Not A-OK: - The classic cheeseburger. My usual go to bar food, under the supposition that it is pretty damn hard to screw up a burger. Ding! I suspect it was frozen, as the taste was just off. Kinda reminded me of the burgers I got in high school. If I ever come back, I'd order the venison chili. Looked tasty enough! read more

3 stars for food, 5 for service. Here's my story! We spent the whole day snowboarding and ended it with a full night session at Silver Creek (9pm). We were starving by the time we got back to our condo and started to look for food options. After finding out that our first few options also closed at 9pm, we decided on convenience store frozen/canned food. By the time we got there, there were deer in the parking lot, a man being given a sobriety test, and the front doors were locked. It had closed just 10min before we got there. So then we headed to the village and decided to try out Foxfire Grill because the restaurant guide said they closed at 11pm, When we walked in at 10:20, they turned us away saying that they weren't accepting new customers. WTF! It's Saturday night! Why can't we find food?! We were beginning to think our dinner would consist of m&ms and chips from the condo vending machines. Before admitting defeat tho, we went to The Junction. When we got in they told us that the kitchen had closed, but we could still get bar food. But after seeing our sad faces, the chef said, "just let them eat, but no more after them.". We were saved!! I got a bowl of the venison chili and a Junction burger. The price wasn't too bad considering other village options were $30 pizza and $18 kung pao chicken. Both the chili ($7 for a bowl) and burger ($11) were satisfying for our starving selves and our waiter was THE BEST. Always around to refill drinks, update us on food, and accommodated our needs for splitting the check 3 ways (for 6 people). Thanks for feeding us! read more

This place was our last option for dinner on our last night in town. We went from reservations at Stash (new sushi place) be warned though, if you call Stash they have two parts. One part, that serves sushi does NOT take reservations. The other part does - they do not offer sushi on this side - only $30+ steaks etc. They are not accommodating and tons of people including us were pretty pissy. So our last options were Catina and Junction. Since our group was 6 people we went to Junction because of the broader options instead of just Mexican... we've been eating too much mac n cheese all weekend anyways. This place was sooooo cute inside. Exactly what you would want at a resort restaurant. That was short lived - we were quickly sat by a VERY drafty window. UGH. Food takes a bit to come out but that's okay. Prices were fair too. The menu was extensive enough to satisfy us all. Our dishes ranged from roasted chicken, blackened chicken salad, glazed orange chicken, burgers to chicken sammies. Everyone was pretty happy. The only thing that REALLY sucked was that my meal got cold really quick because I was sitting near two windows. One to my side and one to my back and I also had to eat wearing my jacket and another one over my lap. Not fun. Had we had better seats I think I would have thrown in another star. I'll be back this season for sure. This place has been here the longest so that's gotta say something about their food and service. Plus the open kitchen looked really clean and orderly, which is nice. read more

Do not go to this place. Service was horrible and the food wasn't any good. We gave them our cards to pay the bill and the waitress literally left the building with them and it took more than 30 minutes to track her down. We got no apology or explanation from her, just excuses about how splitting a check takes a long time. (REALLY?) A discount, or even a heart felt apology would've been nice. PS. Don't get the ribs unless you want to exercise your jaw for a few minutes. read more

Good food! But extremely slow and unprofessional! Food came out quick but we waited an hour to get the check! Ridiculous

Poor management,, We went there twice, mistake each time. The first visit my ribs were so though I could not pull them apart without using my knife to cut and pry! Showed the waiter and he laughed and said "it is what it is, we're busy." The second visit my wife got a burger and her bun was refrigerator cold. Did not see the waiter again for 10 minutes , told him and he left never to return again?? After another 15 minutes of no service/bun I got up and approached there joke of a manager who I named ponytail boy. I told him we have waiting 20 minutes for a bun, he replied they were out of buns?? With an attitude like a 13 year girl, could care less. While his understaffed restaurant struggled he found time to play with his off duty staff and totally ignore his waitstaff getting hammered and unable to deliver and semblance of good service. Severally over priced! Never going back! read more
