I can't say enough great things about this fantastic place. First off the front desk , Sabrina is always warm welcoming and attentive to any question or need. The Chiropractors are miracle workers! I'm not kidding. I struggled with severe sciatica pain so much that I couldn't hold objects cause my hands were shaking from the pain. Over the course of 2 months the pain was cut in half if not more. By month 3 no sciatica pain at all. Dr Sahibzadah also was very helpful with giving me exercises and stretch ideas in order to speed up the healing. I recommend this place of healing to family and friends and anyone I hear talking about back, neck, hip, or leg pain! Suffering is an option but why do that when you can get better here! DO NOT GO HERE!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the customer service and front desk. I was adjusted about 3 months ago. Adjustment was quick and the dr made me comfortable, however upon check out, the man at the front was trying to sign me up with a membership. I kindly declined, but somehow I was still signed up for a monthly plan. This was charged on a medical card for the last 3 months which we only use once and awhile, so I called the practice to see what was going on and they told me that I was signed up and that there is NOTHING they could do. I find this extremely alarming and completely unfair. Although my experience when I was there was decent, this is absolutely ridiculous. The Dr. spoke to me on the phone and said there will not be a refund even though his employee SCAMMED me for the last 3 months on a membership I didn't agree to have. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I've actually never received chiropractic care at this office, but the phone service I did receive was very poor. My best friend was suffering from a severe stiff neck. Being that I belong to the joint I recommended that she go to her nearest joint and get some help. She called the joint in Livermore and they told her to go to the hospital to ensure that her issue wasn't more serious. My friend went to the hospital. They did a CT scan and they pumped her up with drugs and the diagnosis was simply a stiff neck. The next morning, on Saturday, I reminded her to go to the joint so they could help her. She drove to the joint and was the first one there. They weren't even opened and she was already waiting to be seen, she went in. She filled out all of the documentation, but there was one question that she filled out incorrectly because she was in so much pain She honestly didn't even understand the question. The question was something to the effect of, Have you reported this injury or pain to your manager? She answered yes because she had reported the pain, but didn't interpret it as reporting a workplace injury because she wasn't sure where she was injured. All she knows is she woke up with a stiff neck. Based on this response, The joint refused to provide her service. When my friend tried to explain to them that she misunderstood the question and went back and corrected the response, but yet they still refused service. They allowed her to walk out of their office with a neck so stiff that she was crying in pain. She could not move her neck to drive correctly and had driven there from Tracy because this was her nearest location, they were putting her safety and the safety of others in danger by not providing her services to bring relief to the pain in her neck. Thankfully, I was able to find a chiropractor just about a mile and a half away, Dr Contreras, who was more than happy to see her and provided excellent service, and resolved her pain in under two visits. He will now remain on speed dial in the event that this happens again. Like I mentioned, I am a member of the joint. Given this experience and their lack of empathy and compassion, I will be canceling my service. I have supplemental insurance through my medical benefits, so I really don't need to be a member of the joint I did it because it's a local business and with Covid and everything I wanted to support then , what I have found is that is really like the McDonald's version of chiropractic care. It's like going to get a pedicure. You have a bunch of beds everybody's laying down and you have one chiropractor that's going from person to person to person to person I can see why they lack empathy and compassion, this is just fast food version of chiropractic care. Use your benefits slide wisely use your money wisely and find a better chiropractor. Find a chiropractor who cares who is knowledgeable, and who will understand that when you're in pain, you need help and to not turn you away. read more

I've been coming here for about a month. I Wanted to wait to review until I'd given it some time. No appointments necessary is a huge plus. I'm never waiting long for my adjustments. I like that it's a monthly subscription/fee. I have scoliosis, and since coming here and seeing Dr. Shannon Vargas, a lot of my nerve pains, which I always attributed to my autoimmune issues have lessened. Ironically, I actually sought out chiropractic care for my ankles. The adjustments he has done on them have allowed me to enjoy my daily walks again. I've never had anything like this happen before...? I called on a Tuesday to book the $29 first-visit appointment. The woman on the phone wasn't informative or welcoming... she just sent me an email with the paperwork I was required to fill out. She told me my appointment was Friday at 10am-- cool, no problem. I fill out the paperwork Friday morning and arrive at the Portola Village at 10:05 (yeah I was late!) and the whole storefront is dark. "OPEN" sign was dark. Nobody inside. Another young man was waiting outside. I called-- no answer. On their windows it's clearly posted: open at 10am and walk-ins welcome. I waited... until 10:30am. By then it's like uhhh... I have other things I gotta get done! Young man and I both drove away once 10:30 hit. I was pretty disappointed. Like...????? What? I left a voicemail explaining the situation and asked them to follow-up by calling me back. I haven't heard a thing. Anyway, I'm super happy I didn't end up trusting my body to people who can't fulfill their posted, promised responsibilities. read more

Doctor Amanda is GREAT! Shes only in the office on Monday's but you can bet your bottom dollar I never skip a Monday visit. Dr Amanda is super welcoming, very nice and she's THOROUGH. She's a great listener, super knowledgeable and doesn't leave a joint un cracked. I have upper back, neck and lower back pain and my Monday visits with her are the highlight of my week. I canceled my subscription on May 14th and was told I wouldn't be charged anymore, but now it's been two payment cycles later and they keep on charging me. Because I was vacationing in the East Bay Area in July 2017 I had the opportunity to get two adjustments at The Joint Chiropractic. Normally I go to the Elk Grove office but the location in Livermore is super convenient for when I'm visiting family in that area. The storefront is professional looking, the young woman at the front counter was friendly, helpful and professional. The first visit I was treated by a doctor who was covering for the normal doctor who was out of the office. The first visit was a quick adjustment and took maybe 5 minutes. The second adjustment was completed by the chiropractor who normally works at this site, unfortunately I don't recall his name. That second visit was one of the most thorough visits since my initial visit and subscription to monthly services. In August I referred my sister to The Joint in Livermore. Complete Trash service and staff! They mislead you on their "monthly" plan and then they just auto charge your card. Made my back 10x worse than before i went there and i didnt even use my first month of this so called "membership" and they charged my card at 430am on a sunday morning and refused to refund it due a 2 month minimum they claim to have explained but 1000% did NOT. Have been under the care of The Joint Livermore for over two years, first with Dr Campbell and now with Dr Peters - both doctors have been outstanding. Dr Peters is terrific - he takes the time to really explain what his treatment approach is, adjusts you based on your comfort level, and often recommends stretches as well as other things for preventative care. I credit Dr Peters with keeping me off of Advil - I rarely if ever have to take any given how great Dr Peters' adjustments are. I have also noticed the time and concern Dr Peters put forward when examining new patients - he really works hard to understand the entire history to ensure that the plan he creates will be effective. As part of the overall experience, I have found the office staff to be courteous with very accurate estimates of wait times in case there are patients ahead of me, and of course, I love Dr Peters' superhero figures scattered across the office! Whether you are dealing with something acute or something chronic - I would recommend that you give chiropractic care and Dr Peters an opportunity to treat you. read more

This place is very unprofessional, they sent me a $19 coupon through email and when I brought it in the lady at the front did not except it, so I decided just to pay the usual price but they did not x-ray me, or do any type of analysis! I went here because I saw them listed on Love Livermore, and they were open when I really needed an adjustment.  But, never again.  I read how one reviewer appreciated the male chiropractors because they press really hard.  The guy who adjusted me pressed so hard that he popped my rib out of place.  I cried out and he said, oh yeah, you're going to hurt, just use icy hot or something like that.  I could barely walk out of there and no way was I going back in.  It took me nearly a week to get into my regular chiropractor because of my work schedule and I have been living in pain.  It hurts when I laugh, cough, sit down, get up, walk, and I have not been able to get comfortable when sleeping.  I saw my chiropractor last Sunday who put my rib back into place.  It's still sore but I can breathe without sharp pains Most of the time. 2 weeks later I am still in pain. I went to my doctor and had xrays taken to see if anything was broken. Nothing was but I am still in discomfort. I still cannot sleep comfortably because the chest pain aches all of the time. read more

I went to a homeopath in Berkeley a while back and she suggested the Joint. After talking with my orthopedic surgeon regarding several concerns, they recommended chiropractic and acupuncture (to my surprise).
