If you are in pain or have problem thar no other chiropractor or doctor has been able to figure out look no further! Dr Contreras is an amazing chiropractor. with just one appointment he helped my planter fasciitis pain that no amount of massages would take away. He is also working on some other problem I'm having. He is very passionate and will not give up in trying to figure out what is going on with your body. read more

Having kids really messed up my back and hips. Then carrying them around further aggravated my joints, but such is mom life. Dr Contreras is truly the best. His care has saved me from relying on Ibuprofen for pain management or endless PT sessions. It's also crazy how I can poorly describe what hurts yet he knows EXACTLY what's wrong and how to fix it. I feel like I'm at a mechanic shop trying to imitate "that sound" I heard but instead of looking at me like I'm an idiot, he asks the right questions and gets to work. Seriously, don't hesitate to visit his office. He's kind, professional, and will really help you. 10/10 recommend. read more

Dr Contreras is my chiropractor and I recommend him to all I know. He is a true healer. My 93 year old friend suffered from shingles inside her leg. It had damaged the nerve. Her foot was turned out, she had to use a walker for the first time in her life. The medical Doctors spent months with no results. They just gave her pain pills. I talked to Dr. Contreras and he said he had some sort of nerve stimulater that might help. After the first visit Marys foot was better!!! She is still going and still improving. She is using a cane but she is finally healing and feeling much better. Dr Contreras is amazing!!! I am so grateful for him. He helps so many people. read more

I have personally not been to Dr Contreras office but I will say this, I called Dr Contreras looking for emergency care for my best friend. She was denied services at The Joint and left to look for a chiropractor on a Saturday late morning with limited neck mobility and driving. It was dangerous for her to be out there in so much pain and unable to move her head while driving. Dr Contreras was the second office I called and he responded right away and said yes, have her come in and I will see her. He was closing in under 30 minutes but he let me know she might have to wait but that he would see her before closing his office at noon. I called my friend who quickly made her way over to his office. Dr Contreras saw her and quickly diagnosed the problem. He worked with her for over an hour and gave her specific instructions on what to do in order to maximize the results of his work and asked her to return on Monday. By Sunday she was better and by appointment time Monday she was almost fully recovered. She will continue to see Dr Contreras for ongoing treatment and support. I just have to say that you have two types of providers, those who say sorry, but I won't help you and those, like Dr Contreras, that say, head over. Let me take a look. Thank you Dr. Contreras for showing us that empathy and compassion still exist and for helping my dear friend in such a time of need. read more

I reached out to Dr.Contreras about my neck pain and migraines that I was recently experiencing, he was able to squeeze me in the next day. When I came in, he had also discovered that my lower back had some inflammation and I had not realized how bad it was till he put some pressure on it. So far, I've had 2 adjustments and I'm seriously feeling like a brand new person. My migraines have completely gone away and my neck pain is slowly going away. I went in nervous bc I didn't know what to expect but Dr.C has such a calming persona and explained to me the pain that I was experiencing. I'm so grateful for all your help Dr.C!! I was miserable these last couple of weeks being in pain and getting migraines every day, I can finally go back to enjoying life again. read more

I had written off my lack of spinal mobility to my age (63). I don't suffer from back problems but was becoming increasingly stiff. My first adjustment I didn't feel much different but after my second adjustment I felt a big change. Now I'm happily coming in once a week and have loosened up even more. Dr. Contreras is top notch and a great guy to boot. Give him two sessions and if you're like me, you'll be hooked. read more

I recently transitioned to Dr. Contreras after my long time chiropractor retired. To say I'm happy is an understatement! Transitioning to a new provider is stressful and can be scary, especially when it involves your spine and day to day comfort. I have some stubborn spinal and neck situations, and he cracked the code our first session (pun intended!). Coming from a long term chiro patient, I highly recommend he and his office (his front office staff is equally awesome). I'm very grateful I found him my first try! read more

Dr. Contreras is amazing! I started going here at 5 months pregnant and he has gone above and beyond to help with my ailments, from realignment to recommendations to help with swelling and numbness. He takes extra precautions as things have changed in my body, and I can honestly say it has helped me stay comfortable during pregnancy! Highly recommend coming here. read more

Amazing. I've been to many chiropractors over the years and never left feeling a difference. Always thought it was just me. Went to see Dr Contreras during a spell and for the first time ever, walked out feeling much better! He also adjusts my son with immediate results. Will be a patient indefinitely! read more

Absolutely recommend! Office staff is very friendly and helpful. I was referred to Dr. Contreras after being in pain for weeks and he was quick to get me an appointment. I was highly anxious and he explained everything, took his time, and made sure I could tolerate the adjustments. I cannot express how life changing it has been! After being in pain for so long to finally feeling my age, and minimal pain on daily tasks-I wish I would have seen him sooner. It is a process, but am already seeing results in just a few sessions. Thank you Dr. Contreras! read more

Dr C is the best. He has been taking care of my whole family for many years now. He tailors each interaction not only for each family member but for us as individuals. He can find the root of any issue and is able to give relief quickly. I am heading there soon, and my child who has known him since she was born, is asking to join. She wants to see Dr, C and also knows she will feel better after she leaves. Additionally, I never feel like it is a routine visit. Additionally he always seems to be in a positive and happy mood. We always feel better physically and emotionally when we leave his office. read more

Dr. Gerardo Contreras is amazing. My jaw was really out of alignment due to a broken night guard. It has also been clicking for over 10 years (thanks to TMJ) He got me in quickly and took care of my issues quickly. I couldn't believe he was able to take care of 90% of the problem in one visit and the rest the next. He didn't try to up sell me more services or keep me coming in for something that wasn't needed. Very impressed! read more

Very professional and caring, his goal is to improve your quality of life.  After a 3-day drive from California to Texas just before New Years 2023. I had so much pain in my hip that I could hardly put any weight on my left leg to be able to walk. Went to my primary, and it was determined I had lost 50% of mobility in my hip. Physical therapy was recommended (which didn't help).  My husband is a patient of Dr. Contreras, he has had great success with his lower back pain. I had never gone to a chiropractor before and was very nervous.  I have to say one, that was one of my biggest errors in my life.  I was living with pain for many years , and I had become numb to it.  I started going to Dr. Contreras early Jan. 2024 and after 4 visits, I can't believe the difference.  I had a shoulder injury where my whole arm would fall asleep every night and numbness throughout the day.  Both my shoulder and hip have tremendously shown improvement, and I feel that in a few months, I may just be on a maintenance program. I would like all to know if you feel bone structure pain see Dr. Contreras. I feel he was very honest with me and the issues I have, which was caused by scar tissue in my joints that was pinching nerves. read more

First time ever going to a chiropractor and it's been a great experience. Highly recommended

I came to Contreras Chiropractic after debilitating back pain to which I was unsure of the cause or how to fix it. Dr. Contreras listened to every one of my concerns and symptoms and made it a priority to offer and explain a very individualized treatment. He took his time, tried different things and each time I returned we would touch base about the last adjustment, what worked and how the symptoms were improving. I feel very well cared for, listened to and that treatments are improving what was a very painful condition. Treatment was clear and he would explain everything he was doing and why. If you're looking for a chiropractor that will listen to you and your specific needs, he's it! Thank you Dr. Contreras! Much appreciated! read more

One morning I did something to my back and was suddenly in excruciating pain. I was unable to move without assistance. I called Contreras Chiropractic, and they offered me an appointment within an hour. I had 4 appointments in 4 days and now I am free of pain and able to move freely, as before. Dr. Contreras is amazing, helpful, and very informative. The receptionist is friendly and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Contreras. read more

I started seeing Dr. Contreras last fall as I was experiencing pain in my back and hips and my kids signed me up as they had used his services in the past. I have fibromyalgia, which compounded the aches and pains. He used various treatment techniques - making sure to explain what he was doing and why - and gave me a series of stretching exercises. The difference is amazing! I even went to Disney World/Universal Studios a couple of weeks back and walked over 30 miles in 4 days! He is always so patient and caring -- and he listens! I highly recommend Dr. Contreras. read more

I have had lower back problems most of my life. It could be down right debilitating at times. Even though I have strengthened my core and work that area of my body fastidiously I still would suffer a random event at least once per year. Not only that but virtually every morning I would wake up with an aching lower back. After my most recent event I decided to do something about it. I have never been to a chiropractor for back issues. Fortunately, Dr. Contreras is within walking distance of my home. When I went to see Dr. Contreras I could barely walk. I found Dr. Contreras to be knowledgeable and friendly. Best of all he has solved my lower back issues. Within a week I was walking without pain and after two weeks I get up in the morning with no aching lower back and I am certain my periodic lower back issues are gone for good. Go check him out. You'll be glad you did. read more

I've been getting great care here so far. I've been to a lot of good chiropractors in the past but Dr. Contreras is a step above. He's working on problems I'd given up on and making progress. Highly recommend. read more

This review is overdo, but I can only say positive things about Dr. C! When I started going to him, I had only seen a chiropractor once in my life. I had been prescribed multiple medications for my chronic headaches that were not working, had an MRI and CT scan that were non conclusive, and had made several trips to the ER. I wanted to find a more natural solution to the pain that was disrupting my daily life. I was experiencing headaches that I would rate 8/10 on the pain scale ALL day EVERY day for about 2 months straight. I was feeling extremely hopeless and was not sure what to do, so I turned to chiropractic! My treatments have not been "textbook," and have had more flare-ups than usually expected, but he has managed to take my pain down to a 3 as well as decreasing the frequency of the head and neck pain. He never gives up and is always researching and talking to his peers about ways to help me. He also is super responsive over email and has squeezed me in whenever I am feeling crummy. If you are experiencing pain and are not sure what else to try, I highly recommend a consult with him. He is so helpful and genuinely cares about his patients! read more

I was having severe upper back and neck pain for months. Then I started developing migraines. I am pregnant and didn't know if the migraines were from the pregnancy or back/neck pain. As I was a little reserved about going to a chiropractor, I went to see Dr. Contreras based on my husband's success with seeing him for a few months. After seeing him in the morning, I literally had relief the same day. And then the following days after I realized I also had no migraines since I had gone. And I had been getting them almost everyday. To the point of missing work. Dr. Contreras makes you feel comfortable and you instantly feel that he is genuine and honest. I highly recommend this practice! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Contreras for almost 4 years now. He has been treating me for lower chronic back issues. Last week, I injured my shoulder and was in a lot of pain due to a shoulder impingement. On my recent visit with Dr. C, he spent some time treating and adjusting my shoulder. I was shocked with the immediate relief it had. I was able to return back to the gym two days following my adjustment, and had zero pain in my shoulder. He has truly changed my life and has been able to provide tremendous relief with his chiropractic care. read more

Great customer service. Dr. Contreras helped to relieve my constant head aches and neck pain. Thank you.

I made an appointment with Contreras Chiropractic in hopes that he could help me with a tailbone issue I've been having for years. After his initial exam, he let me know that what he saw was something that he would not be able to fix, but he would refer me to someone who may be able to help. I really appreciated his honesty and I am very glad he didn't try to fix something that was out of his expertise. Instead, he found some areas in my neck that had issues and he very helpfully explained to me what was going on and how he could help it. I was really impressed that Dr Contreras took the time to explain the details to me and didn't try to pressure me into accepting his services. I've had about 3 adjustment appointments now and I leave each one feeling nimble and great. read more

I've been to a total of three Chiropractors and I'll have to say Dr. C IS THE BEST. When I first came here I was skeptical. Partially because I would see an ad with his face on it and the weight loss. Dr. C was very patient with me and reasonably priced. I asked him so many questions and he would answer all of them one by one. He wouldn't rush me or push me out. We would exchange such great stories back and forth. It's like talking to an long time friend. I had some lower back pain and even though I came to Jim regarding the weight loss. He started me right away for my back. Even when I told him that I felt another kink under my shoulder blade. He would figure out a different way to get rid of it. I've never felt happier coming here. Thank you Dr. C. =) read more

I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Conteras. I signed up for an evaluation at the Livermore wine festival a few weeks ago. Since I live in Santa Clara, Livermore is a bit of a drive to get up there for a chiropractic appointment. Dr. Conteras actually broached the subject first. He took the measurements and x-rays and sent my results to a local chiropractor so I could receive treatment. I found that level of caring for his patients very refreshing. read more

I began seeing Dr. Contreras seveal years when he was at his former location in downtown Livermore. I have had back pain and neck pain for many years and never really felt any better after visiting my regular doctor. All they gave me was prescription medicine for the pain but never a solid solution. Finally I decided to visit a chiroprator, one that was located across the street to my house. He was friendly but for some reason I just never felt any better. I started looking around again and found Dr. Contreras' former office and began receiving treatment. I felt so much better after several sessions that I followed him to his current office where he is the only Dr. I strongly recommend anyone who needs help with their back or neck pain to visit this so helpful office. You can visit other Dr.'s for yourself and you will see the difference! read more

I went to see Dr. Contreras with my wife today. My wife had pretty bad shoulder problem and tennis elbow. I also had upper back and neck problem from my job. We already feel much better after one treatment. Awesome job and very friendly too. We will go see him for sure again. Thank you very much Dr.Gerardo. read more

Dr. Contreras is Incredible. I first went to him about a year ago during my pregnancy. I had a headache that was going on 5 days and it was so bad that my parents had to come help me watch my kiddos because all I could do was lay in bed in a dark room. After our first session my headache was gone, I couldn't believe it. I found out my insurance isn't covered by his office so I started going to another local office in hopes of the same results. I had about 5 sessions and left each one feeling no different. So I decided to return to Dr. Contreras weekly and now I pay $50 per session instead of free elsewhere because he is THAT good. As a busy stay at home mama of 3 this is something quick and effective I can do to take care of myself so I can continue to take great care of my babies. I never really leave reviews but I felt it was necessary given my experience. He genuinely cares. He takes more time than other chiropractors by asking questions and explaining everything thoroughly, plus he massages the muscles after the adjustments which makes a huge difference. It feels great and has really helped me. Go see him! read more

Love this place. It's close to were I work and decided to go in one day and absolutely loved it. I practice martial arts and my shoulder and back were a little off, Dr. Contreras helped me get back to training with no pain and some team mates were even saying I hit harder. That was exciting to hear. read more

Dr. Contreras is money! He spends time to work through your ailments and pain. Dr. Contreras will re-evaluate you weekly and will make sure progress is being made and make new adjustments as needed. I felt stiffness and pain the morning I contacted Dr Contreras and mind you it was on a Saturday and lucky he was accepting new patients are able to setup an appointments on Saturdays. Most chiropractic care are facilities are open Monday's through Fridays only. This is the first time I hadn't felt any shock or pain when Dr Contreras adjusted my neck. I was VERY skeptical of chiropractors due to some horrific visits in the past. I always left feeling worse than when I came in. I finally was talked into going to see Dr. Contreras. Right away I noticed the staff was professional, energetic, and knowledgable. Immediately after getting adjusted I could tell Dr. Contreras was a master at his craft. I felt like I could breathe better, stand up straighter, and felt less stressed. Since then I've gone back over and over and wouldn't trust anyone else with my spine. They also have an in-house massage therapist who is equally as amazing!! You guys are awesome!! read more

I tweaked my neck to the point I couldn't turn at all to my right. I was in excruciating pain and ending up at urgent care, they sent me home with medications. I had no relief for a few days, still in pain and couldn't turn to my right or lift my right arm more than half way up. I was recommended to Contreras Chiropractic and after my first visit I started to have some relief. After my second visit I could actually turn my neck to the right without screaming in pain. After my third visit I could almost turn my neck completely to the right. Hands down the best chiropractor experience, highly recommend! read more

I was referred by a friend to see Dr C for chiropractic care after many surgeries and especially compared to a previous experience at another office Dr C is the best! I've been feeling better and able to return back to my normal activity and more then I used to be able to do. I have had less then & zero migraines and my hip issue is healing so I'm able to get back to exercise. His energy is very upbeat and his approach is customized and tailored for my needs. He gives great health advice for everyday and suggestions at home how to achieve my optimal health. I'm so happy to have found Dr C and his staff is very kind and professional. read more

I came here almost 36 weeks pregnant with pain in my pelvic area and tailbone all on my left side that shot down my leg. The breaking point for me was my leg giving out on me twice over the weekend. I came in and he took time to do a thorough consultation and ask me plenty of questions to ensure he could adjust me safely without any risk to me or the baby. He also gave me stretches to do at home to help in between visits and scheduled me for a follow up tomorrow to make sure everything is feeling better. I walked out of the office feeling better than I had in months. I had basically accepted I was going to be miserable the last 4.5 weeks of my pregnancy but this adjustment changed everything and I am so happy I went! I only wish I had come in sooner! read more

Dr. C is amazing! After my bad collision in April, I thought my back would be fine because I would just move through it still being young that it would recover itself and just stayed on my pain meds. Then one day I stopped because I grew to realize I was reliant on pain meds to get through my days. The day I stopped I felt I wouldn't be the same again, I felt depressed that I couldn't even do the simple things with my 7 year old son like play tag, or even sit comfortably to read a book with him without being in so much pain. Then about half a year as I gradually moved through my adjustments and even brought my son along to my appointments I started to feel better and as time went on the pain in my back grew to fade. Dr. C is so committed to his patients and I loved how welcoming and engaging he was with my son tagging along to my adjustment visits. He made a child's visit to a Dr office so fun and educational. We are thankful for you Dr. C, you truly change lives. Stay cool Dr. C! read more
