I have personally not been to Dr Contreras office but I will say this, I called Dr Contreras looking for emergency care for my best friend. She was denied services at The Joint and left to look for a chiropractor on a Saturday late morning with limited neck mobility and driving. It was dangerous for her to be out there in so much pain and unable to move her head while driving. Dr Contreras was the second office I called and he responded right away and said yes, have her come in and I will see her. He was closing in under 30 minutes but he let me know she might have to wait but that he would see her before closing his office at noon. I called my friend who quickly made her way over to his office. Dr Contreras saw her and quickly diagnosed the problem. He worked with her for over an hour and gave her specific instructions on what to do in order to maximize the results of his work and asked her to return on Monday. By Sunday she was better and by appointment time Monday she was almost fully recovered. She will continue to see Dr Contreras for ongoing treatment and support. I just have to say that you have two types of providers, those who say sorry, but I won't help you and those, like Dr Contreras, that say, head over. Let me take a look. Dr Contreras is my chiropractor and I recommend him to all I know. He is a true healer. My 93 year old friend suffered from shingles inside her leg. It had damaged the nerve. Her foot was turned out, she had to use a walker for the first time in her life. The medical Doctors spent months with no results. They just gave her pain pills. I talked to Dr. Contreras and he said he had some sort of nerve stimulater that might help. After the first visit Marys foot was better!!! She is still going and still improving. I reached out to Dr.Contreras about my neck pain and migraines that I was recently experiencing, he was able to squeeze me in the next day. Dr. Gerardo Contreras is amazing. My jaw was really out of alignment due to a broken night guard. It has also been clicking for over 10 years (thanks to TMJ) He got me in quickly and took care of my issues quickly. Very professional and caring, his goal is to improve your quality of life.  After a 3-day drive from California to Texas just before New Years 2023. I had so much pain in my hip that I could hardly put any weight on my left leg to be able to walk. Went to my primary, and it was determined I had lost 50% of mobility in my hip. Physical therapy was recommended (which didn't help).  My husband is a patient of Dr. Contreras, he has had great success with his lower back pain. I had never gone to a chiropractor before and was very nervous.  I have to say one, that was one of my biggest errors in my life.  I was living with pain for many years , and I had become numb to it.  I started going to Dr. Contreras early Jan. 2024 and after 4 visits, I can't believe the difference.  I had a shoulder injury where my whole arm would fall asleep every night and numbness throughout the day.  Both my shoulder and hip have tremendously shown improvement, and I feel that in a few months, I may just be on a maintenance program. I started seeing Dr. Contreras last fall as I was experiencing pain in my back and hips and my kids signed me up as they had used his services in the past. I have fibromyalgia, which compounded the aches and pains. He used various treatment techniques - making sure to explain what he was doing and why - and gave me a series of stretching exercises. I have had lower back problems most of my life. It could be down right debilitating at times. Even though I have strengthened my core and work that area of my body fastidiously I still would suffer a random event at least once per year. Not only that but virtually every morning I would wake up with an aching lower back. After my most recent event I decided to do something about it. This review is overdo, but I can only say positive things about Dr. C! When I started going to him, I had only seen a chiropractor once in my life. I had been prescribed multiple medications for my chronic headaches that were not working, had an MRI and CT scan that were non conclusive, and had made several trips to the ER. I wanted to find a more natural solution to the pain that was disrupting my daily life. I was experiencing headaches that I would rate 8/10 on the pain scale ALL day EVERY day for about 2 months straight. I was feeling extremely hopeless and was not sure what to do, so I turned to chiropractic! My treatments have not been "textbook," and have had more flare-ups than usually expected, but he has managed to take my pain down to a 3 as well as decreasing the frequency of the head and neck pain. He never gives up and is always researching and talking to his peers about ways to help me. He also is super responsive over email and has squeezed me in whenever I am feeling crummy. I made an appointment with Contreras Chiropractic in hopes that he could help me with a tailbone issue I've been having for years. After his initial exam, he let me know that what he saw was something that he would not be able to fix, but he would refer me to someone who may be able to help. I really appreciated his honesty and I am very glad he didn't try to fix something that was out of his expertise. Dr. Contreras is Incredible. I first went to him about a year ago during my pregnancy. I had a headache that was going on 5 days and it was so bad that my parents had to come help me watch my kiddos because all I could do was lay in bed in a dark room. After our first session my headache was gone, I couldn't believe it. I found out my insurance isn't covered by his office so I started going to another local office in hopes of the same results. I had about 5 sessions and left each one feeling no different. So I decided to return to Dr. Contreras weekly and now I pay $50 per session instead of free elsewhere because he is THAT good. As a busy stay at home mama of 3 this is something quick and effective I can do to take care of myself so I can continue to take great care of my babies. I never really leave reviews but I felt it was necessary given my experience. He genuinely cares. He takes more time than other chiropractors by asking questions and explaining everything thoroughly, plus he massages the muscles after the adjustments which makes a huge difference. I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Conteras. I signed up for an evaluation at the Livermore wine festival a few weeks ago. Since I live in Santa Clara, Livermore is a bit of a drive to get up there for a chiropractic appointment. Dr. Conteras actually broached the subject first. Dr. C is amazing! After my bad collision in April, I thought my back would be fine because I would just move through it still being young that it would recover itself and just stayed on my pain meds. Then one day I stopped because I grew to realize I was reliant on pain meds to get through my days. The day I stopped I felt I wouldn't be the same again, I felt depressed that I couldn't even do the simple things with my 7 year old son like play tag, or even sit comfortably to read a book with him without being in so much pain. I felt stiffness and pain the morning I contacted Dr Contreras and mind you it was on a Saturday and lucky he was accepting new patients are able to setup an appointments on Saturdays. I tweaked my neck to the point I couldn't turn at all to my right. I was in excruciating pain and ending up at urgent care, they sent me home with medications. I had no relief for a few days, still in pain and couldn't turn to my right or lift my right arm more than half way up. I began seeing Dr. Contreras seveal years when he was at his former location in downtown Livermore. I have had back pain and neck pain for many years and never really felt any better after visiting my regular doctor. All they gave me was prescription medicine for the pain but never a solid solution. Finally I decided to visit a chiroprator, one that was located across the street to my house. He was friendly but for some reason I just never felt any better. I started looking around again and found Dr. Contreras' former office and began receiving treatment. I came here almost 36 weeks pregnant with pain in my pelvic area and tailbone all on my left side that shot down my leg. The breaking point for me was my leg giving out on me twice over the weekend. I came in and he took time to do a thorough consultation and ask me plenty of questions to ensure he could adjust me safely without any risk to me or the baby. He also gave me stretches to do at home to help in between visits and scheduled me for a follow up tomorrow to make sure everything is feeling better. I walked out of the office feeling better than I had in months. I'm very happy with his protocols and felt so much better after only a few sessions. I was having shoulder and scapula pain which has completely resolved now.
