I figured that once I was able to identify the source(s) of what plagued me ONLY then would I be able to embark on a journey of self healing, both physically and emotionally. Katherine and her program 'Three Months to Thrive' was a part of this journey and my success. 'Three Months to Thrive' iintroduced a wealth of information and tools designed to help me 'nourish and transform my mind & body, boost my energy levels, and make my life a priority' as the program (Katherine) pledges to do. She did not falter in her commitment to deliver all these things. As a result, I am 25+ lbs. lighter and more hopeful and optimistic about a healthier and happier life than ever before. Thank you Kathryn for being such a wonderful, committed and caring nutritionist. Because of you I have also learned to take my 'fears to love'. My fears no longer consume me. We found Underground Fitness on Yelp. My wife and I were looking for a gym that's close to home and…read moreone that offers personal and group training. Although I've been going to gym since high school, my eating habits are not always ideal and I've always struggled with weight. At my April 2026 doctor's checkup I weighed the most I've ever been. Yikes! Some extreme lifestyle changes were needed, especially since I'm a dad juggling with a career. As a Yelper, I also need better health to enjoy good food , travel and enjoy life more! We signed up with Gil for 30, 1-hr private workouts. The results have so far been amazing - after 4 months, I lost about 20 pounds and feel better. Clothes feel looser and recent bloodwork showed great reduction in blood sugar. We recently re-signed for another 30 sessions based on excellent results to date. Here's why I recommend Underground Fitness if you are serious about weight loss: 1. Gil helps design a meal plan based on your target weight. Nothing too drastic - he reviews your daily meal and makes suggested changes and additions. In some cases you're adding food (hello egg whites and cottage cheese). 2. You get daily protein, carb, and fat targets that are easy to measure by uploading photos to any free AI agent - see Yelpers are naturally good at this! 3. Love the flexibility - weekly 1-hr sessions work best for me since I have access to my Corporate gym. Gil designs workouts each week via App that will guide you whether you work at home, travel, or have access to another gym. 4. The actual 1-hr workouts with Gil are brutal but you'll feel great afterwards. A mix of barbells, dumbbells, bands, cardio rowing/bikes, medicine balls, TRX, and pushing or pulling really heavy sleds. 5. With private training, you get a great coach and mentor in Gil, and can leverage his expertise to achieve your health goals. The cost is more expensive than a gym membership but if you want results, I believe the investment is well worth it.

Both times, I hesitated because of the cost -- I told myself I was already paying for insurance, so why pay out of pocket for something extra? That decision cost me more than money. I've been dealing with serious health issues since 2018, and I didn't see real progress in my treatment until I finally integrated Shanti into my care team. After a few years working with her, I'm in the best health I can remember in years -- and honestly, the turnaround still shocks me. Shanti has been the cornerstone connecting the dots across a complicated health picture: major weight and puffiness fluctuations, food reactions and allergies, MCAS/histamine issues, mold, migraines, headaches, and joint pain -- all while juggling multiple doctors and endless investigative work. She's been there on the days I could barely move or eat, in real pain and down, and she's helped me build a fuller care team rather than trying to be everything herself. She got me OFF the endless cycle of adding supplements and protocols, and taught me to simplify and actually listen to my body. She's patient, she remembers every detail of my history so I never feel like a number, and she adapts to what's realistic for me rather than forcing one rigid method or diet. We've also gone deeper than the physical -- into the inner work of trauma, stress, and old patterns -- and worked through how my health connects to my marriage, family, work, and travel. She meets you exactly where you are, tuning in to your personal needs while offering practical, meaningful guidance that leads to real change. What sets Shanti apart is her whole-body, natural approach. She's not someone who pushes a Western medicine fix for everything--she's incredibly attuned to the body's natural rhythms and honors the simplicity and wisdom of how we're built. She challenges me in the best ways, always pushing me toward actual growth while being emotionally supportive and truly caring along the way. And honestly--her approach works. I've been dealing with insulin resistance and hormonal shifts, and in just two months I've experienced a major, positive transformation in how I feel and how my body functions. I first worked with Shanti before my wedding and reached my goals, and came back to her when I decided to come off birth control. The results have been even more powerful the second time around. If you're ready to take real action and make sustainable, lifelong changes for your health, I can't recommend Shanti enough. She's the real deal

Due to my underlying health issues and my age (48), I didn't think it would be possible to get healthier, lose weight, and feel good. I was wrong, and I achieved much more than I imagined. Through the Wellness Warrior program, and Dr. Lazarus's guidance and close supervision, I was able to increase my overall strength, endurance, and decrease my body fat % in seven months from 22% to 14%. Dr. Lazarus taught me to introduce small live style changes that developed into habits, that are now a part of my everyday life. In addition to learning about health, nutrition, physical fitness and wellbeing, I learned about the power of the mind, how to focus and redirect my thoughts to reduce stress, which eliminated distractions and improved my concentration. Although the program has concluded, my journey to health and wellness has just begun. Dr. Lazarus provided me with the knowledge, tools, resources, and the motivation I need to continue on this path. This really has been a life changing experience, and I have Dr. Lazarus to thank for the program, the support and coaching he provided during the program, as well as his continued support after the program concluded. The first nutritional appt I had with him was incredible! I have suffered from moderate-severe Crohn's disease for the last 8 years. I have seen several GI drs and several homeopathic/functional medicine/nutritionists in my journey to control and manage the symptoms. In my first appt, it was VERY apparent to both me and and my husband that Dr. Lazarus knew more about the GI system than anyone I had ever seen, natural and western medicine alike. He asked me questions about diet, supplements and testing that I had never heard of. He explained a lot of why I had the symptoms I was having. Throughout the last year, I have referred many people to his practice! They have all been more than pleased with the care Dr. Lazarus gave them and are still patients today! I have made dietary changes that have significantly reduced my symptoms and the supplements and nutraceuticals have really helped as well! In fact, I had the best 6/7 months ever at the beginning of this year! I know I am on the final stretch of my journey to complete healing and I am positive that Dr. Lazarus will help me get there! I had worked with Sabrina in the past and after years of struggling and as I have gotten older, I knew I had to reach out to her. I have always been active and I workout every day so that was not an issue for me. But I was still slowly and steadily gaining weight. I have tried every meal plan and/or diet you can think of spending hundreds of dollars a week on food and hours in the kitchen meal prepping, and nothing worked long term. I reached out to Sabrina in September and started working with her a week or so after my initial call. She made a few tweaks to my diet and my exercise routine, and the weight began to come off. We worked together until the middle of January. During our time working together I lost 20lbs. OVER. THE. HOLIDAYS. I am a social person, and food is always a part of that, so the holidays are especially challenging. If I can lose 20lbs over the holidays, anyone can. Since finishing my last session with Sabrina I have continued to lose weight. It doesn't come off as fast because I am not super focused on it, but that is what I love. It has felt easy to just keep doing what I am doing. The changes she made to my diet fit easily into my lifestyle. I finally feel like I am not on a diet, I have just changed the way I eat, and I am spending less money on food and spending less time on meal prepping than I was before working with her.
