I've felt very overwhelmed by the variety of nutrition plans to the point of really not feeling confident knowing where to start.

Her deep, science-based understanding of physiology, especially when it comes to female and athletic bodies, is truly unmatched. She meets you exactly where you are, tuning in to your personal needs while offering practical, meaningful guidance that leads to real change. What sets Shanti apart is her whole-body, natural approach. She's not someone who pushes a Western medicine fix for everything--she's incredibly attuned to the body's natural rhythms and honors the simplicity and wisdom of how we're built. She challenges me in the best ways, always pushing me toward actual growth while being emotionally supportive and truly caring along the way. And honestly--her approach works. I've been dealing with insulin resistance and hormonal shifts, and in just two months I've experienced a major, positive transformation in how I feel and how my body functions. I first worked with Shanti before my wedding and reached my goals, and came back to her when I decided to come off birth control. The results have been even more powerful the second time around. If you're ready to take real action and make sustainable, lifelong changes for your health, I can't recommend Shanti enough. She's the real deal

Hello World, The…read moreintent of this review is to summarize my journey with LeanMD. I started my journey April 28th, 2019 weighing in at about 355 Lbs and as of January 1st, 2020 I was down to 280 and still counting down. Down -75Lbs in 8 months. Before entrusting this program, I was lost and scared that I was going to die quite literally.. I was literally killing myself with food due to down spiraling mindset. The worst part was knowing I am killing myself and still being powerless over my own decisions and actions. I was so sad, depressed, angry, resentful, and not in a good place. It is very rare to find genuine people whose sole purpose is to empower others with no expectation of us returning the favor. I was very reluctant to take the advice that was given due to many times trying and failing before. So I thought, "How is this going to be any different?" I was in denial about everything in my life, partly because I felt I had done everything in my power to lose weight on my own and to show any progress toward a healthier way of living. I realized I was powerless over my own decisions and I had no control over my destructive patterns of food choices and I came to realize how I was completely addicted to all the wrong things. Merli Valladares, Jonnesha Belleci, and Sarina Soffiotto have to be some of the most compassionate empathetic and kind people I have ever met. It never mattered if I had a good week or bad week or an okay week they were there by my side every step of the way. They helped me open my eyes to see my worth and to recognize just how valuable I am, as me. There came a point in my life where I contemplated a lot of things but I never knew life would have been one of them. I developed a sick mentality over time and I remember thinking at one point, "If I was going to die I was going to go out eating everything that made me feel good about myself in my life. If I've learned anything from this program, I've learned that micro steps equals macro wins. If I just take things minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year, or decade by decade, that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I know it sounds cliche, but by having the accountability, empathy, and to truly feel the genuine passion of my LeanMD team of wanting to make me better, some times more than I wanted to make me better, it instilled a strong belief in myself to succeed. Jonnesha taught me that emotions are like the weather they change every day and that every new day is a new start. I have the ability to live my life by Design instead of letting it pass me by; if I just focus on taking small steps towards a sustainable lifestyle. For me, it was never about calories in or calories out, or eat this eat that. They gave me structure, confidence, and validation that I was right to feel how I was feeling in that moment. They validated everything that I needed in order to accept my situational circumstances of being so far away from where I want to be which allowed me to see the path to where I want to go. The first few months were brutal and I contemplated if I was going to do be able to do this at all, but with the help of Merli, Jonnesha, Serena, and Dr. Sayles, I was able to overcome my emotional barriers that kept me from progressing. After I was able to get my mind back on track after a few months, I gained so much confidence in the program and in myself! I knew the LeanMD Team just wanted the best for me because they have shown such genuine empathy towards me as a person and my goals. I will forever be grateful to this LeanMD team for helping me get my life back and give me a second chance to live the life I always thought I would live. They have taught me that it's never too late to be what I could have been and they have helped me connect with my life-long dream of becoming a motivational speaker and to continue my goals of opening a nonprofit for other dreamers to fulfill their dreams and to reach ultimate peace. I am beyond blessed for the help LeanMD has provided me. When I say I tried everything, I truly feel that I tried everything. I was even contemplating gastric bypass surgery. I probably did every fad diet you can think of, every type of workout, read books, but at the end of the day sometimes we know exactly what we really need to do but there's a mental block the forces us to avoid all difficult things. This journey has allowed me to understand who I am and why I am the way I am, not to mention, where I truly developed these bad habits and why. The quote "Everyone dies, but very few live." has never been so clear to me. The ladies, (Merli, Jonnesha, Serena) have helped me understand the strong foundation from which I come from. A strong foundation helped me develop such a bigger vision for where I want to go, which ultimately allows me to be 1000% focus in the present which is going to help me progress that much more in my personal and physical development.

This review actually has nothing to do with a doctor in this office but more about how they (the…read morestaff ie Tanya and another girl I forgot her name) handle medical needs and new patients. The first available appointment for new patients was 4 weeks away. Now, I developed step throat and I've called 4 times to try to get seen earlier because I cannot afford to miss work. They could not see me. I asked to be put on a waiting list and they said yes. When I asked if they had my info they said no....how can they call me if they don't have my info. She was giving me the run around. I developed a low grade fever and have had it for three weeks (my appointment is next Tuesday) but they still can not see me. I just discovered a very dark textured spot on my skin and they still can not see me any earlier. Now, they have urgent care but my medical ins bills 100% against my deductible and I cannot afford a $250 office visit. Besides, why am I paying for medical insurance if it does not cover my needs. My point, they (2400 Balfour road) could care less if I was dead. When I had kaiser (for the last 7 years) I could get a telephone appointment and get medicine within that same day. They don't do anything like that. They just keep telling me no, no, no....we can't help you. How is this patient care?????? I don't care if I am new, I'm a human and medical practice should carry a certain sense of responsibility to care for individuals. I'm a paying customer and I feel like I don't matter. ---update--- 4/4/14 I'm a few days away from my overdue appointment. The office (for the second time) calls my emergency contact to change my appointment without even notifying me...the patient. Why would one call an emergency contact as the primary contact???? I had to change my day off (my emergency contact scheduled the first available appointment) to accommodate the doctors schedule otherwise my appointment would have been in May. That would have been upwards of 50 days to get an appointment for a new patient. I told the doctors office that I don't care which doctor they give me, I'll take the doctor that has the most availability. This has gotten beyond bad. Almost comical. Maybe they saw this review and decided to punish me?

Yet, despite all this, I saw very little improvement. Recently, I realized that I had lost several pounds, and it became clear that a major part of the problem was that I simply wasn't eating enough. I'd been vegetarian for most of my life, and even after adding meat, I struggled because of my love for animals. On top of that, my demanding job often had me so focused that I would forget to eat entirely. I felt untethered to my life--weak, off-balance, and sometimes even fearful of driving or going out. I knew I needed someone to tell me exactly what to eat and how much, someone I could work with personally. I was so overwhelmed by conflicting information online--one source said this diet was essential, another said it was dangerous--that I thought all I needed was a clear plan. What I didn't realize was that I needed someone to help me identify why I was so paralyzed around food and how to address it. When I found Sabrina, I was drawn not only to her nutrition expertise but also her training as a Life Coach. After our first meeting, I knew I was in the right hands. The 14 weeks I spent with Sabrina were the best investment I've ever made in my health. Our sessions went far beyond food--she helped me uncover why I was avoiding eating, why I couldn't gain weight or strength despite eating very healthy, and how to break those patterns. She took the time to learn what I actually like to eat, then provided a personalized meal library to guide me with meals and snacks, which made staying on track so much easier. Her Life Coach approach was invaluable! She is non-judgmental, supportive, and gently kept me on track, adjusting strategies when needed. All of my calls with her were grounding and soothing, especially amid my chaotic workdays. Thanks to Sabrina, I now understand the habits that were stealing my health, and I'm actively reversing them. I've started putting weight back on, feel stronger and more confident in my daily life, and no longer have anxiety around food. If you've been struggling with nutrition, habits, or energy, Sabrina can guide you with knowledge, support, and understanding. You deserve to feel strong, confident, and healthy--don't wait to reach out to her!
