I went to The Joint for the first time three years ago for an issue with my wrist. I bought a ten visit package and after three visits things were feeling much better and I had the exercises I needed to keep continue improving. Lately I've had a problem with my hips and decided to drop in and see how they could help. My seven remaining visits were still available to me after three years. I met with Derek who was very kind and informative. I left there feeling much better and armed with a treatment plan including exercises and a recommendation for a magnesium supplement. The Joint is especially great for non chronic issues when you just need to be put back on the right path. They will, of course, handle chronic issues, but the format really fits well for short term treatment. You don't make appointments. You just drop in when you have time and they always have chiropractors on staff. It's pretty inexpensive to check it out. So it's definitely worth a look if you have a nagging pain and prefer exercise and lifestyle suggestions to the painkillers you'd likely get at a doctor's office. read more

We've really gotten targeted top notch care and relief here. We love our joint visits and have had the opportunity to frequent this location and the one on Burnet. We've been super happy with our treatments at this location and would have given a 5 star review until today. Today, we checked in, and after a several minutes walked out because there was one woman in the very full waiting area who was coughing every minute. She was audibly and visibly congested and wheezing. It was alarming, and after the 10th coughing fit in less than 10 minutes, we walked out. I was shocked and went out to my car, we sanitized our hands and devices immediately, and I called the front desk from my car before we left the parking lot to alert of her why we left and raised concerns about the coughing and congested patient in the waiting area. This was not a medicinal clinic but a chiropractic clinic so having a sick patient in the waiting room did not make sense, nor was she isolated from other guests. The front desk attendant shared her procedures: everyone had a mask on, was asked if they exhibited symptoms, and temps were taken upon checkin, but she even said she would have to ask what to do in this circumstance that a patient had not admitted to exhibiting symptoms while clearly to the entire room, the patient did. I was also disturbed that this patient had clearly lied, did not care to spread her illness, and that neither person was being compliant w cdc and city as well as Texas laws for operating a business indoors! I didn't think to call 311 yet, maybe I still will. But I did just look up the city guidelines for clinics and the cdc list of covid symptoms to make sure I wasn't remembering the policies incorrectly. I've attached screenshots. Shame on y'all joint chiro on 183! This virus is airborne, And your non-compliance has put at least 10 people in that room at risk. You let a superspreader sit in your waiting room for half an hour w other healthy patients! I went to a different location the first time for a new patient appointment and they said I had to come back a later day even though I arrive two hours before they closed and no other patients were there. I then went to this location with a half hour before they closed and they said we can get you a new patient appointment as soon as possible and they didn't rush me even after past closing. The front desk are always happy to help and the chiropractors are amazing. They really know what they're doing and you always end up feeling a lot better after. read more

The Joint is a great place to go for low-cost alternative solutions for your joint, back, and neck pains. I originally walked in with my boyfriend since we were lured in by the $19 first visit consultation and exam as the visit. We were originally told by the visiting doctor that day (not the normal two that are on site) that we should come in 8x a month, which I found too aggressive. I mean, I am a relatively healthy and active young person so I took the advice with a grain of salt, signed up for a membership of $39 a month for 4 visits, and go every week on Friday after work. I think the concept is highly effective, especially with walk-ins and being very swift coming in and out. I love both doctors as they're phenomenal and friendly, quick to get the adjustment in and out and knowledgeable with what they are doing. I rave about using this place as preventative care for my back as I know I sit at a computer desk 5 days a week for 8 hours and am often not very good at stretching and keeping my posture aligned. With the Joint, I have relatively painless visits and often they are quite relieving and soothing to look forward to! P.S. If you sign up with your S.O. or family members, the membership price decreases, so yay! :-) read more

Go at your own risk. This is an honest review of my experience, hoping it can help you make a better decision. I had a very bad and rough adjustment at The Joint Arboretum and I now need to get an MRI and consult an orthopedic specialist. The Joint is not offering to solve the problem they have caused, and frankly do not care. I had a total or 9 or 10 adjustments and not only did they NOT help my original pain, I still have it, but now I have tingling going down my arm, that is very uncomfortable. This will end up costing me more money, more time. Not worth it, go to a professional! read more

Hurt my back lifting boxes - after several days I needed a chiropractor desperately. It was the week between Christmas and New Year's, so many offices were closed. I called The Joint and they said, "can you be here in 15 minutes?" They are walk in! And unlike other chiropractors in the area, there were NO x-rays or expensive "tests." Just simply treatment. Met with Dr. Derek Musciano who was so motivated to help me. I went limping into the office, left walking straight and feeling so much better. I signed up for 4 more session, got 3 free and a military discount - total cost: $69!! The previous office I used, had me do x-rays. Horrible customer service! Front desk person forgot to give me renewal paperwork and after waiting 30 mins to be seen, they put me back on a chair to fill in the ppw. While I worked on the ppw, i was already there for 50 mins, and had to go for another appointment. They told me to come back after my appointment. I came back, it was 1:55pm and I was told that they are at lunch. I looked at the web and it said the lunch started at 2 pm. I go there pretty rare but every time I get there, nothing is smooth! First Timer: Decided to give chiropractic care a try for the first time, WORST DECISION EVER. After my first adjustment, I was experiencing very unpleasant symptoms, for example, Facial tingling/ confusion/ muscle spasms all over body, I thought I was having a stroke as one side of my face was tingling. I contacted them to inform them of my symptoms but they gave me the "sure buddy" treatment, then shifted the blame on me because I didn't continue coming for adjustments! Hah! No thanks! You've done enough damage on my FIRST visit! Fast forward to today and I still have paraesthesia all over and shooting nerve pain. I NEVER had this problem before the adjustment. I've been telling everyone I know not to come here as my life has not been the same after my visit here. From a couple months ago.. Yes..I'm still catching up on reviews. Uggh. I should not slack.. Cause I'm compelled to catch up. Wow..almost a 5 star rating.. Wheeew. Not sure how that happened. The joint...is nothing more than a drive-thru in comparison to a restaurant.. If you're looking for a quick pop...in and out in 10-15 minutes..then this is the place for you. I needed some QUICK attention that my typical chiro could not do at the moment.. And I chose to go here.. Whoops. Big mistake. I hurt worse after leaving than when I got there and let me just tell you I was in pain. All the popping in the world was not going to help me. I needed to be "thumped:" whatever. I had huge knots in my back and neck. Could not turn my neck from sleeping wrong one night.. Discomfort went to my back from favoring..I got slam cracked/popped right in the middle of my back that hurt so so terribly bad. .. Never again. Nope. Went to my regular chiro and told him what happened...he said he could not tell me how many people have to gone there and said the same exact thing and then have to cone back to him for it to be fixed...Go figure. I have no idea how this place received these reviews.. I'm shocked.. But I do suppose I'm glad you all feel better...cause at the end of the day.. That's all that matters!! Honestly!! For me though.. First chiro I've been to since my accident in 2012. I wasn't even sure what an "alignment" was until then. I've been to the Joint for over a month now, at least 10 visits, and I feel better after each one. I like it, and I will keep coming back, despite the secret fear that I may get a stroke if they do something wrong in my cervical area. Only if that happens then I will reconsider my alignment habits. I like how my body feels with the Joint in my life. I stand straighter. I breathe better. My yoga practice is easier, and I feel I'm giving my body what it deserves. You do notice, after several appointments, how your body reverts to old positions that make you more tired and wear you out. The Joint helps you keep yourself in check. Dr.Barras is very to-the point, and he's good at what he does. I have little conversations with him, and he answers me, but he's not talkative. I understand; I'm not either. I was always one of those skeptical people that thought chiropractic services were going to ruin your body and waste your money. After many years and doctors visits, a CT scan, and prescription meds for debilitating migraines, I felt lost as to what I needed to do to make them stop! If you suffer from a migraine once, you never want one again. If you have them once a month or more, you will do ANYTHING to get rid of them. After noticing that I had some bad neck pain and trouble turning my head, I thought perhaps the two could be correlated. So after a coworker told me he goes to the Joint in Round Rock and likes his results, partnered with my migraines, neck pain, back pain and sciatic nerve pain in my leg, I found myself here... just to try it out. My first visit was with Dr Marie, who said that it was definitely possible my neck pain was correlated with my migraines. Having your neck popped for the first time is scary for sure, but you feel so much better after you forget you were scared. I felt so good after my first adjustment, I signed right up for the monthly membership. Since getting adjusted fairly regularly (usually 3 times a month) I have not had a single migraine. I suffered for so long and for this to be such an easy fix is a god send. I feel so foolish for not having come sooner! I have since started seeing Dr Barras more often as I like what he does for my back and leg more, and he is there Wednesday- Saturday which is when I usually go. Although it is always very quick, if I tell him something is bothering me, he is good about messing with it until I get some relief. So, tell them what you need as obviously they can't read your mind, and they will try to help you. I recently stopped going for a few months just from being super busy, travelling and such, and after today's adjustment I can tell my body needed it. I will not be stopping again any time soon. I have recommended their services to my sister and another coworker who are now members also. If you are thinking about chiropractic care, it is totally worth trying out for $19. It felt a little rushed even though the Dr. actually did spend a good bit of time with me and set me up with some exercises. I have paid two to three times as much for visits elsewhere, also felt rushed and not been given any exercises to help prevent recurrence, so don't let the too good to be true price scare you away. read more

Great place! No appts, they are open til 7pm during the week and open weekends! Very clean, professional, no upselling, and they don't do insurance ( their prices per visit are cheaper than most co-pays) Dr. Baras was so kind and courteous. I was in, adjusted, and out! I've been to ALL the locations and I truly like this location and the one off of Highway 290. This is my number one pick. At this time I can't think of the chiropractors name, but its a lady. She is the only one at that location and she is great. At the other location on Highway 290 Espinoza is also a must go to person. The other locations no one really stood out to much. One complaint I do have at the south Highway 290 location is the front desk lady. I didn't like going that much because she wasn't very nice. Fast, Simple, effective with locations that are close. Walk in (no appt), self check in, get adjusted and go. Weekends as well !! That's 5 star alone - no hurting till Monday. I use two locations one by work and one near home. No excuse not too. Hours are generous but less than Massage Envy. 7pm is closing (4pm on Sunday) but like a muffler shop if you get there in time (6:59) - they will stay until everyone is done. Very different from traditional - allows you full work days and alignments. I have been to a few chiropractors in my day. I believe in chiropractic. In fact my oldest son was the reason I started going. Labor and delivery was a 29 hour dilemma that ended up in a c-section. My little baby had a crooked head and neck . I didn't know anything was particularly wrong, but I could never hold him in the classic cradled arm position. He would cry and fuss until I held him upright. He was a few weeks old when I read about chiropractic care for babies - so, I found a chiro and went. After the first visit he was content! That got the whole family going and we did for a long time. Over the years I saw chiropractors on an "as needed" basis and then I just got away from it. I must have skipped about 18 years or so. Anyhow - I had an acupuncture appointment the other morning. I have been dealing with some chronic shoulder pain, and my practitioner held a few places on my neck over the bones and said they may be out of alignment. SO - I got in the car, asked the GPS to find the closest JOINT location and there I was. This was the best chiropractic experience I have ever had personally. I liked the location, the decor, the front desk person, the doctor -- the adjustment process is intense (or at least my bound up old bones thought it was!) and slightly scary to me, but I know it's worth it and so I do my best to relax into it. After it was over the whole world looked and felt better. I was free! Looking at the chart of how treatment plans work and what they cost - it took me 2 seconds to sign up for the "premium" 6 month membership. There isn't any other deal like this! I'll fully admit I'm a skeptic on chiropractic. Doubtful, even. But seeing as my health insurance hadn't kicked in yet and my lower back was killing me, I figured I had nothing to lose, especially for $19 for my first visit. I like the low introductory price and the ability to walk in. Dr. Mike, my chiropractor, was even a pleasant fellow. But that's where it ends. In less than 15 minutes, I was subjected to an upper back adjustment and some stretching exercises that did not relieve my lower back/tailbone pain at all. I was aggressively marketed a package of repeat visits and received several followup calls from the clinic. In the end, I got little relief, felt like a marketing target rather than a patient, and retain my skepticism of chiropractic. Time heals most injuries and the repeat visits only give you the perception that chiropractic, rather than time, is what helps. read more

I want to start this out with the fact that everyone that works here is very nice. I had a 3 month membership, went pretty much every week. The first time was great, I felt like the guy paid a lot of attention to me. Told him my problems, he adjusted me and I felt good. Every other time I went I felt like I was in an assembly line or cattle call. Barely any time spent on me, and most of the time there was no one there. I could understand if it was packed, but no one was ever there. I realize that you get what you pay for, but $17.5 for less then 5 min and not feeling like I was being taken care of sucks. I tweak by back once a year it seems, and since they were open late and I could just walk in -- I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm well aware that the day after your back is likely to hurt worse, but I've never had it where by the end of the same day I'm in so much pain I've considered going to an ER.
