Dr. Heath is obviously well-versed in the musculoskeletal system, and he's really soft-spoken and unobtrusive. Chad and Danny, the chiropractic assistants, are literally on point with the trigger point therapy. It's a little painful at the time, but fully worth the relief it gives. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. If you're a little iffy about chiropractic care, give Kapsner a shot. However, today I happened to ask the girl who worked on me what kind of certification was needed to do what they do. This is when she proceeded to tell me that they don't have certifications, they just "google" how to do things. I think my mouth dropped. I was thinking, what the heck! Are you serious that no one has even taken a class on acupressure to know where to press and how deep! I will definitely think twice before getting more than an adjustment here. So to clarify: the chiropractic work is 5 stars but I was pretty disappointed at learning about the pressure point ladies, hence the 3 stars.

When I first went and saw the x-rays, they did on me and how much I could actually not move was crazy to what I got to after having 28 visits that I booked and it was three times a week. I was not really able to move before and constantly complaining about pain. After finishing these sessions , my posture and my movement is just so good now. I rarely even complain about pain. It is an ongoing treatment and you have to have patience with it, but it's great because Mike teaches you exercises and movements to do for when you're at home or feeling any kind of pain. The adjustments that he does on you are very quick and very soothing in a weird way because you walk out of there feeling like your whole back can breathe again. The staff there is amazing. I have had serious injuries to my neck, upper back, and lower back.  The X-rays are not pretty. Prior to seeing them, I had several extremely painful events where I could not sleep, walk without pain or pick up my small grandsons. The adjustments are surprisingly gentle and wonderfully effective.  My healing has been wonderful and has allowed me to play hours of pickleball without needing days to recover.  They have great staff in the office and are so convenient and personable.  They enjoy explaining and educating you on what is happening and what to expect.  I strongly recommend them for anyone with back injuries and limitations due to back or neck pain.

I wanted to go to a chiropractor mainly because I've noticed that the entire right side of my body "hitches" about 2 inches higher than my left. This could be for multiple reasons (a severe knee injury on my left side, age, etc) but regardless, I wanted to see if a chiropractor could help even me out and support my overall health and wellness. My initial visit was very much a general consult with a lot of pictures and X-rays taken. The second visit was a review of these findings along with the development of a treatment plan. I also was pleased that the second visit included actual therapy and an adjustment. Now, here's where sadly the US medical system and insurance get involved and kind of ruin the overall vibe. Depending on your insurance, these visits and therapies may or may not be covered. I have a Cigna high deductible plan and while SOME of my visit was covered (since I'd met my yearly deductible) most of the cost was not so direct to me. The office did provide various payment plan options (and offered discounts if paid in full for the proposed treatment plan). I ended up opting for care credit which will just disperse the cost over a year. Overall, the staff and office are fantastic. The therapies themselves are quick (you can be in and out within 20-25 min). I'm on maybe week 3 out of my program and haven't noticed any significant difference YET but I also know I'm there mainly for prevention and wellness so I can't expect drastic results this soon. I would absolutely recommend this office and their staff - just be cautious if you're worried about insurance coverage/cost.

Because I do not like pricing surprises, I asked specifically about costs. Alexis told me that the initial exam is $97 and that follow-up visits typically range from $25 to $70, depending on a patient's needs. That pricing was within my budget, so I submitted an online scheduling request. The next day, I received a call from a staff member named Kelly, who explained that if you do not have x-rays taken within the past year, the initial visit requires an additional $100 for x-rays. This increased the cost of the first visit to $197. I was shocked, as that was double the price Alexis told me, and I've never been required to get x-rays to be treated by a chiropractor. However, it got worse when I learned that the initial visit does not include an adjustment. If you want to receive an adjustment during that first appointment, there is another $100 charge, bringing the total to $297. At this point, I chose not to book because this was far above what Alexis quoted me. I contacted Alexis, who apologized and said she was "mortified." She stated that her husband, who is also a co-owner, was contacting the office manager to find out what was going on. She also explained that the employee I spoke with was very new and initially indicated that I had been given incorrect information. The next day, the office manager, Kim, contacted me "to clear up any confusion." Yet, she told me that Kelly's explanation was accurate and reflects how the practice normally operates, although she stated they would honor the pricing Alexis originally provided "as a courtesy." Based on that assurance, I went ahead and scheduled my initial appointment for a couple of days later. Because I was concerned about future costs, I called back and asked what adjustments would cost after the initial visit. Kim told me that individual adjustments are $100 per visit unless you enroll in a care plan, but she would not provide even a general estimate of what those plans cost. She kept stating "it just depends on what the doctor recommends." This made me very uncomfortable and led me to read online reviews to better understand what treatment might actually cost. I'm glad I did, because multiple reviews report patients being charged over $1,000 for just one month of care. This pricing structure was dramatically different from the $25 to $70 follow-up range I was quoted directly by the co-owner, Alexis, so I attempted to reach back out to her to get clarity about pricing. I was truly hoping this was just a misunderstanding of some sort. However, I found that Alexis had "blocked" me on Facebook, so I could not directly message her. That, in addition to everything else that had transpired, made me completely lose trust in this business and I chose to cancel my appointment and seek care elsewhere.
