We were visiting a cousin in Binghamton while in-route to a meditation retreat in Quebec. I had phoned a day ahead from Bristol VA. A friendly man named Jim, said he would put my name on a Field and Stream 4 person Wilderness Lodge (tent) and hold it until we arrived. It was on sale from $160, regular price, to $120. I found the store and the people to be fabulous. The thinnish aisles filled with stuff would be any sportsman's dream. We went on to the retreat and set up our "Taj Mahal" as a fellow camper called it and slept quite dryly even during a rain. The tent included a 4x9' vestibule which was an outer flap which allowed us actually keep our suitcases outside the regular sleeping area. I extended a tarp from underneath the tent out the additional 4 ft for a nice vestibule floor where we removed our shoes before entering. Inside, 7' x 9' , we had plenty of room for two twin air mattress with sleeping bags. If I lived anywhere near the original Dicks in Binghamton, I would for sure be a frequent customer.

However, I also had one blazer that I purchased at an online tailor company that came out very wonky in the shoulders. Thane was able to perform surgery on it and perfectly fix the issues. He got everything done on a tight timeframe too, and put in extra work to get it all exact. Beyond that, he was a pleasure to chat with and very professional. The whole project came to a little over $1000, which I think was reasonable given the quantity and quality of work done. I especially don't think anyone else could have fixed the shoulders on that one blazer, so it effectively saved me the value of losing out on an entire suit jacket.

I ordered a University of Michigan hockey jersey through Scott and the Jersey Barn, and while regretfully there were some shipping issues and slowdowns due to covid (I ordered right as things were locking down), Scott was super accommodating and communicative throughout the process. I think it's important to be realistic about shipping times if these jerseys are coming from overseas. Other reviews seem to be harping on that, but I really didn't feel it was an issue. When there was a discrepancy between the size listed on the product page and the shipped product, Scott immediately sent another in the right size, and it came extremely quick. Again, he was very communicative and transparent about the process. I got the jersey much sooner this time around after covid backups died down, and it was a perfect fit. Very happy with the product, and with the support and service Scott provided, despite the understandable setbacks. I would do business with Scott and the team at Jersey Barn again. read more

We ordered a jersey for my son reluctantly since the company was unknown to us at the end of November. Received tracking information and tracked the package. After the package sat in a town near my home with the USPS for over a week I reached out to the company. Scott replied the same day and requested that I give it a little more time. Another week went by and still sitting in the same location. Scott then informed me that he would send another Jersey since it was obvious I was not getting the original. We finally received the Jersey and my son loves it. Scott was wonderful to work with, kept the lines of communication open and was very down to earth and kind. read more

The shoes are high quality and I get compliments every time I wear them. That said, they are a small company with small company quirks. All shoe drops are pre-orders, so you pay before the shoes are ever made. Sometimes production gets delayed. Sometimes orders get stopped at customs and shipped back to the manufacturer. You MIGHT wait a long time for some of your shoes. But they are very transparent about these things. They Livestream, usually once or twice a week, to give people updates, let them ask questions, give sneak peaks at early production of shoes, shoes that are still being designed, etc. If Livestream isn't your jam, they have an updates page with production info on their website. I recently got scammed by someone in the community selling some rare, out-of-production shoes. When I reached out to Bull Airs to let them know the guy was scamming people in the community(I was not the only one) they shipped me a huge box, full of things relating to fandoms they knew I was interested in from previous purchases, sneakers values higher than what I'd lost, and a note apologizing for the issue. It wasn't their fault I made that mistake, nor was it their responsibility to reimburse me for it. But they felt bad it happened and did what they could to soften the blow. While I don't work a customer facing job anymore, I did for decades. This is the type of service provided by people with heart, that care about their customers and want to leave an impression. And they've done that for me. Cannot recommend them enough.

I've never made my own perfume so I was so excited to get started. Victor greeted us and gave us a tour of the store. He started with telling us all about the history of perfume making and also gave us a pamphlet with all kinds of information about how to pair scents and different vocabulary to use when describing them. There are 15 different scents that we started off smelling to see what we liked and then we narrowed them down to a few that were our favorites and a few that would blend well together. The coolest part was getting to add different things to add to our base scents like vanilla, amber, musk, and tobacco (just to name a few). Once we decided on the combination that worked best for us we got to pour in our base scents and Victor explained the math behind bringing everything together. I really appreciated how detailed the entire process was. He also left a little space in the perfume bottles so we could test the scent he made on our skin to see if it needed to be edited any further by adding any scent that might have been over powered by another to find that perfect balance. He gave suggestions and was so helpful with everything. We could tell he is very passionate about creating different perfumes and it made the experience so personal. Once everything was mixed we were able to pick a name for our perfumes to make it our own. We got beautiful labels put on our perfume bottles and nice bags to keep them in. He told us to wait a week for the perfume to blend completely and to test it again while all of the notes are at their peak. This was so much fun and I would definitely go back for another session and bring more people.
