    Ginger cucumber drink
    Monica G.

Stopped by on a Saturday night, it was quiet in the shop and they mostly ran out of everything. Got the goat curry and jerk chicken. Goat curry was a okay, but overwhelmingly salty. Jerk chicken was really really good, a bit on the salty said but man that flavor was just spot on. However the wait was 40mins we definitely missed our chance to view the sunset by the beach the ginger and cucumber juice was quite nice, but it's a bit on the sweet side

Absolutely a joy and delight every time I eat here. Whether it's to go, or in the restaurant, their food is delicious and full of love. Their customer service is the same. If you're looking for rich flavors that hit the spot, definitely come here.

Authentic Jamaican food with lots of choices and large portions "The best jerked chicken I have ever had," Paul W. While we were there, an artist was repainting the outside of the building. The inside walls have paintings of famous people of color, and their famous quotes are written beside them. Wheel chair accessible. Free parking on site.

Curry chicken, sautéed veggies and Mac n cheese. Was delicious

Curry chicken was very delicious, flavor is there. Sautéed veggies and Mac n cheese. I do feel like Mac n cheese is lacking seasoning though. The vibe inside nice as well.

Just wow...it was my partner and mine's first anniversary and we decided to take a trip to Humboldt to see the new Redwood Skywalk. I did some research on places to eat at in Eureka and the Jerk Kitchen came up. We love all types of foods and the pictures had us hooked. Well let me tell you what... If you do not eat here, YOU ARE MAJORLY MISSING OUT on a flavor explosion of yummy food goodness. Everything was perfect from the chicken, plantains, rice, killer Mac'n'cheese, to the side of cabbage with veggies. My mouth is watering while writing this. Makes me mad I do not live closer. Do yourself a favor and visit The Jerk Kitchen, you won't regret it. Sincerely, A huge fan

Del, rocking the jerk chicken... #respect

The restaurant is small and has a skeleton crew of staff, but they don't miss a beat and provide an excellent dining experience for all their guests. There's a nice list of California regional wines by the glass or bottle, and a local selection of beers and hard cider. It seemed that the biggest hit of the evening was the deserts. To a table on the night we dined, everyone was eating the desserts. My only regret from the evening is that we didn't eat the desserts because we had to go in a bit of a last minute dash. We ordered the Chinese Style Lamb Stew, Cheese Corn, Kung Pao Vegetables, and it came with a side of banchan. Every single dish here was absolutely delicious and piping hot! We ended up ordering a second plate of banchan because it was so good. The daikon radish had the most satisfying crunch and the others- cabbage and bean sprouts were very well pickled too! Cheese corn was sweet and honestly a good pairing with the very soury/ pickled soup. The kung pao vegetables would have definitely fooled me if I wasn't told it was mushroom. The batter holds on the oyster mushrooms just like chicken does. Well seasoned. Service was very impressive - there was a single waitress serving lots of tables. The pan fried chicken dumplings were from Costco, the spicy beef ramen left much to be desired and had an extremely dry egg. That was one thing, then as we were waiting for them to pick up our card to pay, our server, Mira, loudly complained to her coworker about us sending the food back and how we were "pissed" (we weren't, until she started almost yelling about the situation to her coworker). Extremely unprofessional. Makes us second wanting to return in the future.

The place was pretty busy at 8pm and we sat outside since we had our pup with us. I ordered 3 oysters as an app. I had just read that Humboldt Bay provided a large percentage of the oysters consumed in CA and NV so figured I should order some since we're so close to the source! I was surprised when I slurped it down and it was warm but they were delicious and the sauce on top was very flavorful. (That was my fault for not reading the description well enough; I'm just accustomed to eating oysters chilled) For entree's, I went with the Polenta Veghie lasagna and my husband ordered the Italian Mac n cheese. Both dishes were very good and very filling. I loved the crust of the polenta and the eggplant and cheese filling was delicious. Others have mentioned the small size of the falafel balls, but that's kinda the secret sauce here. The smallness makes it so you can have an extra crunchy outside, with a just done enough inside, that is still moist without feeling underdone. Any larger and you'd have a weird mix of crunchy on the outside tough on the outer half and not done at all in the center. If they were smaller, they'd be too tough through and through. I also feel compelled to mention the depth of flavor achieved by the babaganoush. This is magical. Now, I make my own baba at home, so I know how difficult it can be to get the balance right. This place has nailed it. The hummus is divine and bursting with flavor. The tahini is gorgeous. The flavors of the meats (I tried both the chicken and had an à la carte side of the lamb roll) -- they have managed to make them completely complex--you get the feeling that they slow cooked it all for hours...locking in juicy smokiness that will make you say mmmmm and fill yourself ridiculously full because you can't stop eating it. Nor would you want to. On a personal note, as an Ashkenzai Jew, who has been very unfortunately landlocked in the worst place for our people: Southern Idaho for 2.5 years, this place felt like a breath of fresh air. Speaking of which, the open air patio in the back with plenty of flowering plants, overlooking the water, is such a fun yet tranquil setting. The guys are so kind as well, and made me feel like family. Just walking in and hearing the music, I felt uplifted. And then talking with them...just felt like chatting with old friends. They are simply crushing the hospitality piece. Don't sleep on FalafelLove.

I've been coming here for over 30 years and never had a bad server. Be sure to let them know if you're celebrating an event and they'll make your evening extra special. The food is always outstanding. The appetizer board included with your meal is such a treat of local small bites and hearty dark bread. Let your server know if you want the appetizer board to be vegetarian. Vegetarians and vegans have plenty of delicious entree options that go far beyond the usual 'pasta with vegetables' option such as the Spanakopita or the stuffed bell pepper over portobello mushroom. Meat eaters can enjoy the wide range of special barbecue options, the oysters, or fresh fish. Save room for one of their amazing desserts.
