I returned for physical therapy after nearly three years and found that little has changed. The physical therapists and exercise specialists are still friendly and generally punctual, but they are mostly junior staff or appear to be in training. This time, however, the experience was worse--likely due to it being the end of the year, when coverage seemed limited. I just finished up my 6 week session as I was recovering from a fracture in my back. I admit, I was a little skeptical that my problem could be solved- I knew the fracture would heal, but I've had back issues for a number of years and I just felt resigned to the fact that my back would always be a problem and just another indignity that comes with being in my 50's. Well, six weeks later I feel so much better and stronger. My team (more on them in a bit) really worked hard to put together an exercise program that would strengthen my core, back, and legs and with each session, I saw and felt improvement. I downloaded a recommended app and my PT sent videos to it that would allow me to do some of my exercises at home and that makes it much easier to remember the techniques and rep counts. The best part of The Jackson Clinics is the people. Right up front in the Ashburn location is the very professional, very positive and extremely efficient Anem- a young lady with a very bright future. Nathan is the lead Therapist I would see at the beginning of every session and he is simply outstanding. One of the nicest people you could ever meet and you can tell he cares very much about how you are feeling and progressing. He is the one who dictates the program and comes up with the exercises and strength building activities you will be doing. He sees what works and what does not and reacts accordingly. Finally, each session Nathan would hand me off to Peyton, who showed me the activities I needed to do and monitored me as I did them. He checks on you often and is very encouraging along the way. I really felt like Peyton is in a perfect position by helping people, he is a great PT and an even better person. I actually felt a little sad saying goodbye to this great team today and I'll miss them. I hope to see them someday outside of the clinic! This place is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend. People are friendly, smart, and skilled at what they do. I started with Jackson in July/August and continued till January. My hip/butt was injured and it took significant care/diligence/work to help me improve. I have seen (literally) five other P.T.s and they couldn't help me as much as the Jackson clinic. I previously lived in DC and offices there were not interested in keeping clients (or maybe it was just me) for more than a few sessions. That wouldn't work for my injury. The front office is cheerful, helpful, and a delight to work with. They squeeze me in when they can and go out of there way to help me if I need to make changes. AGAIN, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

In the fall of 2021, I returned to Jackson Clinic for treatment after shoulder surgery. I chose Jackson because I had such a great experience with them a few years prior. I initially connected with S who was very friendly and a delight to chat with however after 26 visits It was clear I was not improving. I was leaving my visits feeling sore and discouraged, so I told them I would be taking a break. A few weeks later, I received a call from S saying that I should come back that they had somehow missed read my doctors notes from my surgery and decided I should have a different approach to my treatment. I returned and was told that I would not be seeing S (she had been mysteriously relocated), but my case would be managed by Jeff personally. Jeff did my intake and said we would be starting fresh and he would be overseeing my care. I felt optimistic since he was the director. However, the next visit, I was seen by another relatively new PT, and we were doing the exact same things that S had done. in other words...nothing changed. After a few visits, I realized that I was wasting my time, and decided to move to another practice. I called the Clinic to let them know I would not be returning and stated how I felt I had been lured back under false pretenses. I never heard back from them. After 12 visits at the new location, I am significantly improved and back to the Gym! They are all very friendly at the Jackson Clinic, but it seems that they do not have the depth of experience needed to produce better outcomes. read more

This business is ruthless when it comes to payment. They insist on collecting up front for what they think you owe and then once insurance settles they send you to collections on balances that are AG30 (30 days). I have been a patient with them for several years and the therapists are great, but this business practice ensures that I will never be back. I had back surgery and began immediate treatment at the Jackson Clinics in Tysons Corner where I lived in 2017. After I completed my work there, my neurologist told me my nerve damage was permanent. After living with pain and cramps and neuropathy for YEARS, I started having numbness in other places in my body besides my legs and started seeing a different neurologist in Reston where I lived at that time. They recommended I go back to PT. After I moved to Ashburn, and my wife had our baby, I started going to the Jackson Clinics in Ashburn and seeing Jeff! Jeff immediately was able to diagnose my issues and with the help of the great staff at this location, came up with a program to target my weaker areas, strengthening them, and supporting the muscles that were working overtime, firing instead of my core! Almost a year later and after two 6-8 week sessions, I went from not being able to use my right leg or lift 10+ pounds, to pushing 180+ pounds on a sled, and carrying 150+ pounds on a hex bar! It didn't happen overnight. It was work. Hard work! But that work was a two-way street between myself and my pt... the more you put into this, the more you will get out of it, that is for sure! I have been so satisfied with Jackson Clinics-Ashburn and especially my physical therapist Terri. I've gone there the last 10 weeks for back pain and pelvic muscle tension. Terri is super helpful - she has taken the time to talk with me on the phone when I was deciding on a PT, she has emailed me helpful info numerous times, she is very good at what she does, she was aware enough to point out that some of my issues were related to stress and tension I was carrying, and she has a delightful personality as well. She can adjust/mobilize me when I have sacroiliac issues, and she makes you feel like you're the most important person she sees - I think she's as good as they come. I've also had a great experience working with Shane and John (who walk me through the exercises/stretches). And Alexis at the front desk has been really helpful. read more

Did you know that there are PTs who treat Vertigo, Motion Sickness, and other vestibular issues? During a recent bout of vertigo I found my way to Dr. Jeff Camara. He was Fabulous!! My hope is to get the word out about Dr. Jeff Camara and his treatment of vestibular issues, which can be debilitating. The dread of the dizziness and nausea were nearly as bad as the episodes themselves; Dr. Camara provided not only treatments for the vertigo, but also exercises and strategies to strengthen my vestibular system and to support the treatments. I now know where to go and who to see if/when the next bout of vertigo hits, but also know that I now have strategies and exercises, thanks to Dr. Camara and Jackson Clinics, to keep these episodes at bay. I just wanted to stop in and give dome praise to people who truly deserve it. When I started here, I could barely move my arm after a bad elbow break and getting my cast off. Ezra's competence and welcoming demeanor put me at ease right away. During my visits we decided I needed a brace and we were worried my elbow would seize up. The device rep (not affiliated with this clinic) screwed up and I never got it. Through hard work with Ezra, and the amazing exercises I was taught from John on the gym side, as well as dedication to at home pt as well, my arm is 99.999% back to normal. I can do my own hair again and dont have a crooked pony tail, due to the hard work of my 8 yr old anymore. I'm back to day to day life and my Ortho was amazed that these guys got me back to almost my full range of motion. If you're looking for an amazing team go here! I am so disappointed in the Jackson Clinics and would not recommend them to anyone. I went into JC after going to my PCP about terrible back pains I was having after overdoing it in a gym class. In my initial consult they did a bunch of movement assessment - but never recommended an X-Ray or MRI. Every time I went into see them - my back got worse. After 7 visits - they finally said I should go see a spinal specialist. The first thing they did was took an X-Ray which CLEARLY showed a SEVERLY herniated disc. So not only did JC not do the right thing initially - they most likely made it much worse!!! I would never send anyone there that has back issues! read more

John was super knowledgeable and great to talk with and really helpful with prescribing the right exercises that best fit my unique condition and tolerance level. My physical therapist was Bret. Waste of time. Was told I'd be getting 45 minutes of evaluation 45 minutes of treatment. Went in, therapist spent 20 minutes training a new staff member and taking 2 measurements. Then told me she had another patient so wouldn't be able to treat me but that I could pay $10 and go to the "gym" to do exercises. Then even though I preapproved with my insurance company, they wanted me to pay out of pocket - $150 for the experience! Wouldn't waste your time. There are lots of good physical therapy places. This just isn't one of them. read more

My 8 year old son had a very good experience at this clinic recovering from a broken ankle. Megan was a great fit for his high energy and lack of focus! She was kind, patient, and yet kept him on task. He enjoyed going and liked the exercises and "games." I personally wish they had a bit more privacy as all beds are out in 1 big open room. You can over hear pretty much everyone else's appointments and that was uncomfortable for me and is why I will not be using them for my lower back injury. My PCP recommended Physical Therapy for a lumbar spine deterioration issue that was becoming quite painful in everyday life. Even driving became difficult. I've been through P.T. in the past for a torn Achilles so I wasn't very excited or expecting successful results when I started at Jackson Clinics back in October. My skepticism was quickly replaced with optimism after my first visit. Professional and friendly staff await you as you are greeted by Alexis, the office manager in Ashburn. The therapists are awesome. I worked mostly with Patty Beers (P.T. Patty) and Kelly Parker. They were patient, thorough and shared a vast knowledge of exercises and stretches that I now incorporate daily. John Money and Shane Mondloch on the training side of the clinic were just as great. They really took time to teach and demonstrate how to effectively perform each exercise and stretch. For me, this was a 4 month commitment and it's been well worth the effort, as I feel close to 100 percent recovered. I have had 4 orthopedic surgeries and follow up physical therapy with each of them. I am an experience PT user. I recently moved to Ashburn before my partial knee replacement surgery and was searching for a PT clinic. I found the Jackson Asburn clinic and have been very satisfied with my PT. The facility is very clean and has an open feeling with window walls on two sides contributing to a nice experience. The facility is very well equipped and the PT therapists are all PHD's in PT. This is NOT the usual case at other PT clinics I've used. The exercise technicians are all fabulous, friendly, sincere and very knowledgeable.
