When my orthopedist referred me to this PT that only does hands, I was excited to go to a specialized place for my wrist/tendon injury. They really want you to get better and try everything they can to have relief. Pradnya is really friendly and even asks how our day is going (not just about the pain). She's very knowledgeable and tries new things to try to make me have better progress. She also listens (and I talk a lot, LOL), and makes me feel valued and heard with all of my questions. They also use a variety of techniques such as: exercises, heat, ice, ultrasound, stretching, and tape that makes me feel well taken care of. They truly care about your quality of life. App for videos for stretches and print outs of appointments are a great touch as well. read more

I switched from Countryside Physical Therapy to Select Hand Physical Therapy and am extremely happy with the expertise and care the entire team has provided me so far. I feel that their method is having an immediate and positive impact on my progress (recovering from surgery due to broken left distal radius bone and torn ligament). If you need any hand therapy services, come here for sure! Dana is so helpful and knowledgeable and really strives for patient comfort. Chanel and Sarah are also so friendly and all the therapists are on the same page. Some patients are experiencing pain outside their injuries and you can tell that they forget all about it when they're in their therapy session. The center is always so clean and bright. The exercises really make a difference and the time dedicated to each patient is always beneficial and genuine. Great people here and wonderful services! I can't say enough positive things about the Nova Hand Therapy office. I injured my wrist about a year ago and it wasn't until I came to them that I finally started to get out of pain and begin rebuilding my strength again. The Occupational Therapists and Hand Therapists at this office go above and beyond in all that they do. The staff at this office are incredibly talented, intelligent and professional. They're innovative treament techniques are what helped me achieve my goals. They're also just great company to be around! (Which made the 2x a week appointments actually quite enjoyable!) I worked primarily with Chenele while coming to hand therapy and I attribute much of my success to her. She did a great job of balancing excellent care to keep me out of pain while continuing to push me with appropriate challenges. Honestly, the entire staff there is phenomenal, I can't stress that enough. I highly recommend checking them out if you're suffering from any hand, wrist or forearm injuries. read more

As an occupational therapy student, I was given an incredible opportunity to be able to complete one of my fieldwork rotations at NOVA Hand Therapy Center. In the 6 weeks that I spent here, I was consistently amazed by the talent and compassion demonstrated by each therapist in this center. Dana, Rachel, and Sarah are all incredibly skilled and qualified, and you can trust that you will be in the best care and on the quickest route to recovery if you decide to come here. From your first appointment, you can expect to be treated in a unique manner, and with much empathy and encouragement. Dana is especially great at helping her patients to understand what is going on in their hand, wrist, elbow, etc. and why it is causing pain or problems. Your first appointment will consist of an evaluation and an honest conversation with the therapist regarding your injury. I especially admire how honest each therapist is about what you can expect from the therapy process and what your recovery time will look like. From bone fractures to tendon injuries to nerve damage, the therapists here have seen it all, and they are specially educated and trained to treat this highly specialized area. I can't say enough great things about the therapists that work here. Every single patient I interacted with in the clinic couldn't stop telling me about how much progress they had experienced since beginning therapy here - the therapists at NOVA hand therapy really care about the patients and it shows! People often don't realize how essential the use of their hands are until they are unable to use them - if you are suffering from an upper extremity injury, I would highly recommend putting your trust in the therapists here to give you the best chance of regaining functionality. read more

Beware of the receptionist. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of sensitivity and empathy when I spoke with the receptionist on the afternoon of December 12, 2019. I called to cancel my appointment which was a day before my next appointment. I explained to her that I was involved in an urgent emergency family situation that resulted in me being out of town for over a week and a half. I let her know that it was my first day back to work after placing my Dad in a Memory Care center. Obviously she had no earthly idea the intensity of doing something like that and then try to get your life back to normal. All she seemed to care about was the fact that I had not canceled a full 24 hours prior to my appointment and made sure I realized that I was going to be charged for two missed appointments that amounted to $115. Hopefully, that particular receptionist will never have to go through what my sister and I had to go through. She was very insensitive and left me feeling that the money was way more important than anything I was dealing with. If you don't like your job, move on! Anyway, I decided to find another therapist. I will miss the girls at NOVA Hand Therapy, especially Katy, but I can no longer come through those doors and deal with that particular receptionist. read more

I've been coming to see Sarah and it's been fantastic! I had problems with tendinitis that kept me from being able to draw, and they helped with that so much! Today is my last visit after a month or two of therapy, and I'm very happy with the progress they've helped me achieve. They made sure I had the tools and exercises to keep up progress at home once I was done. I highly recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy for their arms! All the therapists seemed great, no matter who you get. But Sarah is the bomb! read more

Based on positive reviews, I came to NOVA Hand Therapy (NHTC) to treat tendinitis in my wrists. Overall, my experience was positive. The staff is very caring and friendly. The facility is clean and modern, with plenty of parking. They have good business hours, appointments are fairly easy to schedule, I never had extensive wait times and I never experienced any billing issues. I had experiences with all the occupational therapists (OT) there who are all professional and knowledgeable. Chanele was my primary OT and I liked her conservative approach to treatment before moving to the more costly option (custom splints). I was under her care for 7 months and she did everything she could to help me get to 70% recovery. However, due to an underlying medical issue that was discovered later on, physical therapy wouldn't get me back to 100%. My advice to clients is that it's important for you to do your home exercises, show up on time for your appointments, and if something isn't clear to you about your treatment plan or if you have any questions, do speak up. At times the OTs can be treating 3 clients at the same time, so it can get very busy for them. My advice to NHTC is to conduct an exit survey during the final visit or via email to solicit feedback from clients to gauge customer satisfaction. I do recommend NHTC. read more

I went to Nova Hand Therapy for chronic finger pain. The Therapist gave me different hand exercises to do daily. Since I have been doing the therapy my fingers have been worse, and in a lot more pain. On top of that they kept calling to schedule another appointment, And when i didn't schedule an appointment, they sent me a bill for $11.00. The bill they sent me was for a the $ 0.50 wrap she gave me to wrap my finger. Don't waste your time at the NOVA Hand therapy center. They will try to send you a bill for something you didn't even know you were being charged for. read more

I can't give enough stars for this place! Dana and her staff are always warm and welcoming! I've been coming for 7 weeks now due to a severe dislocated thumb. When I started therapy 7 weeks ago I couldn't even move my thumb and now I'm able to reach my pinky! They are so wonderful and friendly. I can't recommend Dana, Sarah and their team highly enough! I broke my hand while out of town, and when I tried to find a therapy center who would work with me, I found that the majority of therapists in the NOVA area are affiliated (owned) by a medical practice and they won't take patients who were not operated on by their own doctors. I was really panicking until I found NOVA Hand Therapy on a google search. They are absolutely fantastic - very caring and knowledgeable - just the right balance of patience and pushing me to keep my recovery moving along. The facilities are great with ample parking. The office runs like clockwork - always on time and good appointment availability. And Candice actually made dealing with the insurance company not so horrible! I'm back to fully functional, and I have Dana and her team to thank. I really can't say enough good things about them! read more

I was suffering a sprain and a pinched nerve on my left hand. I thought I was never going to get my hand back with the pain I was suffering, but in as little as 2 months my hand was about 95% back to normal. I was very impressed and happy with the service. Dana, Sarah, Jackie, Chris and the rest of the staff at NOVA Hand Therapy Center are truly amazing. I developed tennis elbow in my left elbow and was sent here by my orthopedist. Boy am I glad he did. I spent several months with them as they provided services unique to my situation that helped me heal. The reason I know is because several weeks after discharge I had to return as I developed tennis elbow in my right elbow. But this time the treatment plan was different as the discomfort and area of pain was different and required a different approach. Dana looked for new methods to try to help the healing process and I appreciated their efforts to think outside the box. They are truly gifted therapists. read more
