I admit, I was…read morea little skeptical that my problem could be solved- I knew the fracture would heal, but I've had back issues for a number of years and I just felt resigned to the fact that my back would always be a problem and just another indignity that comes with being in my 50's. Well, six weeks later I feel so much better and stronger. My team (more on them in a bit) really worked hard to put together an exercise program that would strengthen my core, back, and legs and with each session, I saw and felt improvement. I downloaded a recommended app and my PT sent videos to it that would allow me to do some of my exercises at home and that makes it much easier to remember the techniques and rep counts. The best part of The Jackson Clinics is the people. Right up front in the Ashburn location is the very professional, very positive and extremely efficient Anem- a young lady with a very bright future. Nathan is the lead Therapist I would see at the beginning of every session and he is simply outstanding. One of the nicest people you could ever meet and you can tell he cares very much about how you are feeling and progressing. He is the one who dictates the program and comes up with the exercises and strength building activities you will be doing. He sees what works and what does not and reacts accordingly. Finally, each session Nathan would hand me off to Peyton, who showed me the activities I needed to do and monitored me as I did them. He checks on you often and is very encouraging along the way. I really felt like Peyton is in a perfect position by helping people, he is a great PT and an even better person. I actually felt a little sad saying goodbye to this great team today and I'll miss them. I hope to see them someday outside of the clinic! I've had experience with other PT providers (MedStar, Inova). So my review is by comparison. There were good therapists and trainers in the other PT centers also, of course. But Julia Smith at Restore in Ashburn is exceptional in her attention, expertise, and focus on the patient's needs. I had issues with my back and knees (osteoarthritis) as well as a strained hamstring injury. With the therapy, I managed to reduce the pain, build up strength, and also work on flexibility. Kate at reception is always friendly, helpful, and tries to find slots and fit the patient's time preferences as well as needs to travel or take breaks for other reasons. Unlike some of the other providers, it's not impossible to quickly arrange an appointment to fix an in-person evaluation and agree on a training schedule.

They cancelled multiple appointments on us with less than 24 hours notice and are always booked so scheduling is extremely difficult. Final straw was the therapist having a conversation with our 13-year-old about the number of 'allowed visits' (what 13-year old knows anything about insurance let alone having that conversation with a child) but the therapist failed to discuss this with any parent. Showed up for the next appointment and they had cancelled it, booked someone else in that time, and then tried to blame another doctor's office for not returning a form (that the PT office had just sent less than 24 hours prior.) I work in fitness as a profession and have a lot at stake with my physical abilities. So, you can…read moreimagine my dismay when I began developing serious knee pain that prevented me from even walking my dog without pain. I've gone to SIX different doctors over the course of two years (3 PTs, one podiatrist, one chiropractor, one orthopedist). I had an MRI done and received knee injections. When that didn't work, I was told maybe I should just quit doing high impact. I was told that my lack of progress was due to MY lack of following the PT exercises. Andre will take the cases that are "untreatable" by traditional doctors. His treatment was unorthodox and no two appointments were the same. Though my knee received the brute forces, he treated everything from my calf, quad, hip flexors, glutes, hamstrings, back, and neck. He did mostly dry needling and and manual therapy. After about 10 treatments, I stand now pain-free and able to do all of my fitness work. After the first appointment, I felt better. After the second appointment, he made my knee pain go away and I broke down into tears. For years, I was told by doctors that my pain is my fault. Andre believes that his clients should never give up the activities they enjoy, and it is his mission to treat pain, and he never placed blame on me. He does not participate in insurance, but after calculating my expenses with the other PTs, his treatment is actually CHEAPER in the long run because he actually solves the problem in a shorter amount of time. He saved my career. If you are a person who has been shamed by other doctors into believing that you are the broken one, go to Andre and he will build you back up.

I was diagnosed with both femoral nerve pain and sciatic nerve pain and both legs were involved. I went to two other PT offices one for six weeks and the second one for six months. I thought I was done with Physical Therapists. I agreed to have the steroid injections in my back at a spine center and still had relentless pain. It was ridiculous!! I was up to a dozen Advil a day just to endure my daily activities. My daughter actually recommended Dr Andre to me as one of her friends who was active in collegiate sports swore by him. I was extremely hesitant.... why try a THIRD Physical Therapist? Well, after only three visits I was almost completely healed!! Fast forward to today... six months later. I have been suffering with severe back pain for the last two weeks. My back has been so stiff, I couldn't bend down or touch my feet without excruciating pain. I've done PT before. It didn't work for me. A new doc told me to try it again. So at this point, I…read morehad regarded PT simply as a hoop I needed to jump through in order to convince the doc that my problem was actually as bad as I said it was. It was bound to fail (again), and I was okay with that even if I thought it was just going to waste time. These are the steps I thought I had to go through -- I even told that to the kind folks here at my initial intake visit (including the part that I only chose them because they were closest to my house!). Little did I know I was in for a serious attitude adjustment. The people at Physical Restoration took my perspective as some sort of challenge...and won handily. Yes, my physical state was a mess -- I'm fighting an ongoing problem, and I really needed help, and luckily somehow found a place at random that was willing to do what I needed to have done. I've long since fired the original doc who sent me here, but kept the physical therapist! Lori and Marc really do care about the people who walk through the door. Even the patients cheer eachother on. Don't get me wrong -- Miracle Workers do not exist. But good, hard-working, caring, and intelligent ones do. If you put in the effort here, it won't be wasted. That's all anyone can really expect. It's certainly more than I ever did and I'm now in better shape than I have been in years. I got lucky when I chose their door to walk through, but you can actually choose them on purpose.
