Walked in at 11:25. Waited 5 minutes for our table to be put together. She never did so we did it ourselves. Then waited another 20 minutes for our drink order. 15 minutes after our drinks we paid without our food order ever being taken. Tables that came in after us had food. I had high hopes for this visit but was disappointed. The pizza was thin and was like something I could make from a refrigerator tube of dough. The flavor was bland. We ordered 3 salads that were not good. The "new" Cobb salad was a portion of an iceberg lettuce wedge cut into 3 pieces with quartered cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, limp red peppers and a quartered boiled egg sprinkled around it. The steak salad was cold, cooked onions on top of dressed romaine with an overcooked steak to the side. The caesar salad was terribly fishy and the cup of tomato soup was as thick as marinara and served in a small ramekin. The service was crappy and we had to flag the server down for a glass of overpriced wine from a bottle that had clearly been open for a while. Also had to flag her down for more water. Very uncaring and inattentive. We will not be back. read more

We stopped in here for dinner after traveling from Las Vegas. The service was fantastic and it turned out our server was also from Vegas. Do yourself a favor and order the smoked salmon dip. My only suggestion would be to improve the selection of local breweries on draft. read more

Great pizza. Thin crust with the expected greatest hits (sausage,pepperoni..) but also unexpected combinations like honey and blue cheese. The Greek Salad was wonderful. Excellent atmosphere, pleasant efficient service. I'd like to especially remark on a server going a little extra. I called to see if we needed a reservation-6 adults, two children-and the young man said no, it wasn't busy. By the time we got there, that had changed but he had taken the initiative and had set us up at a nice table all ready to go for us. A note to the owner management-this kind of personalized service, this sort of little extra, is a huge plus- especially when you have children along. We don't live in Juneau but re there 3-4 times a year to see relatives and we always make it a practice to go to Island Pub. Thanks! read more

This is a great place for family, friends, or just a casual meeting. The food and service is good. The atmosphere is lite but balanced. If something is wrong with your order the staff has no problem fixing a mistake. It's not the best I've ever had but it is one of the best spots Juneau has to offer. read more

The Island Pub has become one of our favorite restaurants over on Douglas Island (just across the bridge from downtown Juneau). It has a gorgeous view with big windows right on the ocean, which is one of my favorite parts and why we try to go in the off times so we get a good window seat. Of course, it wouldn't be a favorite if they didn't have delicious food. I've tried something new every time we go and love it all. Their pizza is great, and seems to be everyone's favorite. I love their wraps, too. We always get the salmon dip as an appetizer, it won't disappoint. I also love that they usually have some of the beer from Haines Brewing Company on tap. read more

Ugh. I can't make it past that. I don't know what else to say. I sat at the bar since the place looked busy. My service was quick, someone made my drink and then someone else took my order, then the bartender got there and didn't even look my way. Went upon the recommendation of a friend who said the soup was great. In search of something warm and comforting, I ordered it and was greatly disappointed. It tasted like a bowl of marinara sauce, topped off with some tasty bread. I've since gone back and tried the salads, which for Alaska, was good and green and more than just iceberg lettuce that I was expecting. If you're looking for fancy pizza, this is also a good option, but eat it while it's hot, because even though I'm a sucker for cold pizza, this is not an option. Our service was quite slow, even though the pub was nearly empty. This wasn't a deal breaker, at least on that day as we had no where else to be and the food is very good, but it seems the Island Pub was definitely on "island" time. ;) Definitely get a pizza! I hear everything on the menu is well done, though I think the pizza is really where it's at. Island Pub's selection is more unique for topping combos than elsewhere. This may be in part due to the contest they run every year to with the local customers to create and vote on new pizzas for the menu! I ordered pizzas for the family. My dad is vegetarian so I put in a "make your own" pizza and loaded up on the options. The pizzas are small and spendy ($30 ea) so we were expecting quality. We had dinner here on April 19, 2023. It is a great little place! The service was quick and friendly. The advice from our waitress was very helpful. It was a little busy at first but then we had a chance to move to a table by the window - you can see a very nice of view of the port across the water. The decor inside is modern and fun. We had salmon chowder, Greek salad, the Pork-a-Pine pizza, and Alaska White beer. Everything tasted great. Would definitely go back if happen to be in the area again. read more

We've dined here twice so far. Both times, we've had the pizza. The menu is diverse, lots of options for apps, salads, and sandwiches. But I would recommend the pizza. I make my own pizza, because I think my own is far better (to me) than anywhere I go. The Island Pub is pretty close to what I'd make. Crisp crust, but not too thin, sassy tomato sauce, and fresh toppings (we stuck to meats/garlic mostly). There is a nice bar with a good selection of cocktails and beer. The window seats overlook the water, where you can see massive cruise ships meandering into port. Tip: Make a reservation, as this place can get busy. read more

A good place to eat and watch the water and planes go by!! I was very happy with our food, didn't take too long to get it and it was delicious. I was celebrating with my family one day, a few years back. We ordered a few pizzas, and drinks, and the energy from the staff was great. The family friendly environment was especially nice as I don't eat out much. I'm in no way a professional food critic, but I would definitely recommend this for friends and family or office luncheon. read more

I love this place so damned much. Very easily the best pizza in town...but EVERYTHING is good. Salmon dip is on point, you'll find yourself craving their orzo salad in the middle of the week, the tomato soup is fresh and delicious. The best thing though: consistency. There's never an off day here. Food generally takes a bit longer to come out...but it's because it's made carefully and made well. Service is casual and friendly. Not sure who's doing the reviews, but if you are going for the views like I did, rethink. See attached picture. You get a view of the ugly rooftop and a narrow view across the channel of a bunch of shipping containers. Very disappointing. Also they did not use freshly grated Parmesan on my Caesar like their menu promises, it appeared to be packaged dry Costco pre-shredded. After complaining owner came over a said it was a mistake in the kitchen. But why do they have that in the restaurant to begin with. Seriously made me question the gourmet quality of the ingredients that they say they use. Garlic also looked to be from a jar, and the asiago cheese blended tasted like pre-grated too. The only reason I'm giving three stars is Megan was a great server, and owner came over and apologized and said they fixed the problem. However, no comp received. Note to future reviewers. If you get the Caesar and they continue to use the preshredded tasteless Parmesan, after telling me they were going back to freshly grated like the menu states, please reflect that in your review. read more

The Island Pub is legit the only pizza place in Juneau worth the price. Draft beer selection is pleasing.

This place has the best tomato soup I've ever eaten in my life. If you order a bowl, it comes with a plate of deliciously cheesy/buttery toasts. The wraps are fantastic with fresh veggies and interesting flavor combos. The pizzas are delicious with a variety of different pies to choose from. Love the crust here too - it is tender and chewy with a little crisp on the outside. Have loved everything I've had here! read more

Nice little spot with great water views and a nice reprieve from across the bay with 65 million cruise goers. Started with the salmon dip which was okay. Lots of salmon and plenty of pizza dough to dip with, but depth flavors was kind of one note. Needed some freshness or maybe less cream cheese to make it a bit better. The pizza did take a while to be cooked, but I would never take points off for that. Just mentioning that in case you are in a hurry. Ordered the Don and pizza galore for our pies. Both had LOTS of garlic on them, like several cloves per slice. Again not a problem because I fancy garlic personally. The problem for me was the lack of pepperoni on both pizzas and sausage on the Don. You know when you have a bag of bacon bits and the bottom is kind of like crumbs of bacon? That was the sausage on the Don. Very disappointing on both fronts. Also, for me...I think both pizzas could have used about double the amount of sauce. They were very topping heavy and needed some sauce to support them and prevent them from being dry. Overall, an average pizza not bad not great. read more

This place was incredible. Probably the best pizza I have ever had. We also got the salmon spread appetizer which was amazing. The pizza was a bit of a wait but with a few Elysian space dusts it made the time fly. Service was excellent and prompt. Pizza was made with all fresh ingredients and the garlic sauce on my pizza was tasty. I will return on one of my many trips to AK. read more
