You actually have to walk down 1/2 flight stairs to get to 1st floor. I recommend the 2nd floor; that is where the office is. You will need to walk 1/2 flight of stairs to get to the 2nd floor. We got the 3rd floor and paid extra for a "view". There was no view. In fact, we had to look at the building under demolition next to us. I don't recommend the 3rd floor, unless you get unit 301. Unit 301 is the only one that has a view. The office is open 24 hours, and they have coffee and a couple other little things. The coffee is a k-cup type, and they actually have pods of decaf! And it's delicious! We will stay here again, but we will get 2nd floor or room 301.

It was one big room with a table and 3 chairs, closet, tv and dresser. I would suggest a higher floor to get away from the noise from the above neighbors. We especially liked being in the one room because it gave off the "family vibe". It was myself, son, grandson and sons girlfriend. We called it our "Walton Family Getaway." We would definately go back to stay in the future. The owner was friendly and so was the staff. My only complaint would be the noise from neighbors and the entry door was like a bedroom door. A little to flimsy for my taste. This would be the reason for only 4 stars.

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality felt genuine and effortless. Concierge handled everything with ease--reservations, timing, recommendations, logistics--always responsive and proactive. Valet was consistently quick, organized, and friendly. Housekeeping/turndown was immaculate with great attention to detail, and the entire team made us feel taken care of without ever being overbearing. The food was outstanding across the board--whether dining on property or ordering in, everything was high quality and consistently delivered. Add in the prime location (including ski-in/ski-out access to Aspen Mountain) and you truly understand why this property has the reputation it does. The room was amazing and the view was so beautiful. Great price as well considering Aspen was 3 times as much. Right near the Snowmass mall (I mean like 20 feet away). My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and rented out the Teocalli King Room. The sheets and bathrobes were nice, and the stand-in shower was excellent. It was quite cozy with plenty of room, storage space, and amenities to make it as comfortable of a stay as possible. Not to mention the direct access to the hot tub was a plus, which was a great addition. The host, Chris, is a superb cook and prepares a high-quality breakfast every morning of a variety of delicacies. I'm not even a fan of eggs but his Southwestern frittata has made me a believer now. He's very attentive to allergies as well and will always do his best to accommodate. My wife has a severe gluten allergy and he was always sure to supply a substitute. The only other thing he hosted regularly was beer tastings at 5, which we were unable to attend due to our plans, but he does have a nice selection of brews stored for it. The views from the B&B are great and it's located just a short walk from Elk Ave, where you'll find all the main shops and restaurants. Even closer is the bus stop that'll take you up the mountain. Overall, I cannot recommend Purple Mountain B&B for your stay. For the price point, the amenities, and level of service you're getting, it can't be beat. Definitely staying here again when we come back some day.

Not only is it cute, the location is perfect and Chris is very knowledgable....not to forget a fantastic chef! Every morning at breakfast he cooks something delicious and lets everyone know what is going on around town that day and can provide good suggestions on hikes/trails and also on restaurants. We stayed in the Crested Butte room which was cozy and reasonably priced; also took the cruiser bikes for a spin around town that are provided for our use. We LOVED our stay and absolutely will return the next time we head to Crested Butte.

What an amazing trip…read more I came with my wife and son. We enjoyed the friendly hospitality and customer service from the staff. We enjoyed our cabin and the beautiful scenery surrounding. There is no Internet connection at this location. And to get to it, it's about a 20 minute drive on a curvy road. The road is pretty epic, though! We enjoyed the sauna, Jacuzzi, plunge bath, and lake with paddle boards and a canoe. Would love to come again in the future, especially around fall time with the changing colors of the leaves. This was an easy five star experience! Thank you for everything! I plan to make my epic video of our trip within the next few months. In the mean time, enjoy some epic family photos on our trip.

We attended a summer wedding at Beyul Retreat, and it was truly lovely. We had one of the small…read morecabins, and it had everything we needed! But the real charm is the property outside the cabins. The wedding took place in a small aspen grove on the property and was just gorgeous. The lodge had a small shop with food and drinks and another with clothes and jewelry. (The lodge is the only area of the property that has wifi or cell service, which didn't bother us a bit - nice way to unplug - but FYI.) Everyone at the property was really friendly, and the food was really good. There are some hikes you can do without leaving the property, but there are many areas for hiking, fishing, and watersports if you leave the property (and the staff can/will direct you)! Full disclosure - I am not a super outdoorsy person. I'm pretty much a 100% city girl. I was probably one of the last outdoorsy people at the wedding (most guests were from Colorado), and I still thought this venue was spectacular for our friend's wedding. It's a little remote - but that was part of the incredible charm. We had a wonderful weekend here.
