Not that knotty pine type of furnishings that you see in a lot of mountain hotels/lodges, it was sophisticated but still felt perfect for the mountains. The room was clean, the steam shower and cushy robes were GREAT and I LOVED that we could dvr shows in our hotel room! Pet friendly too, so of course our hound came with---he loved it too! I'll bump it up to $$ since during the high season it's still reasonable but not as cheap as we got it for!

Comfy beds and great amenities. Staff was very friendly and great at suggesting day trips (thank you to the online concierge replies). Daily breakfast was decent, the mains changed daily (chicken and waffles, eggs, bacon, sausages etc + cereal, fruits, chia pudding, yogurt, grocery store baked goods, coffee+hot chocolate) Dinner portions are huge and very reasonably priced for the hotel/location. I regret not trying their burger. There's also the Audi experience (2 hours to drive the Etron). Unfortunately, couldn't access a few scenic paths bc snow was too heavy. I already own this car but to drive it in the snow -what a great experience. Location-wise, grocery store and all the shops were walking distance. There's street parking for $15/day, first come first serve (parking is free on weekends). Garage parking is $50. Concierge was also great at accommodating with a birthday surprise (macarons + balloons). However, we sat down in the lounge one evening and were ignored for over 15 minutes. I tried making eye contact and waved but still ignored. The workers served/gave menus+drinks to 3 parties that came after us. Maybe because we were the only Asians there? I hate the race card but it was so bizarre.. That was the only annoyance of the trip.. Overall, I would book Limelight Aspen again. I'm already planning to return in April

There are a lot of bedrooms; I don't know exactly how many since i wasn't the organizer but we had about 30 people. I know that whatever number of people was advertised as accommodating on the site (VRBO?) was a bit off bed-wise (must have included all sleeping surfaces including couches) so a few people in our group were peeved (they were going to have to sleep on couches). The finishes were very nice - Hermes soap and fresh towels. I would HIGHLY recommend the maid service if you're in a big group. It had pots and pans and all of that stuff; no spices or anything like that if you're going to be cooking, but it had wine glasses and serving stuff as well. The hot tub was great (nice and hot!). The location was great. It certainly doesn't suck at all.

The cabin was originally built as housing for the local quarry workers but has been beautifully remodeled and updated. There was no no cell service in town, no TV in the cabin, and the only internet access was in the main lodge. It was wonderful to unplug for 2 days. The town itself is very laid back and is a nice change from many of the more tourist orientated towns in the Colorado mountains.

The room was surprisingly very nice and the bathroom was super nice! Felt like I was in a Marriot hotel. The lodge had complimentary SUP and kayaks for the guests to use which was a great perk! It had such a friendly small town vibe, everyone was so chill. My Only complaint was that the mattress was extremely uncomfortable (...like I would of slept better camping) which kind of sucked because everything else was so great about the place. The phone service was no good but that is was is so fun and relaxing about small remote towns. It's nice to unplug. They did have WiFi that worked okay for things like checking email but not for streaming or anything like that. The shower in the bathroom was super nice but it was one of the fancy ones that doesn't have a door, it's just half glass and open the other half but when you did shower the entire bathroom and room got super humid and muggy. Hotel is dog friendly which was awesome for our pups. Also, they only take cash and check but they are super flexible!

Nice hot tub room, pleasant community spaces, and a small bar that stayed open til 8:00. It's in a cute little neighborhood, two blocks from the main strip with oodles of great dining and shopping, and the bus stop for the free shuttle to the mountain. Also, they rent a locker at the ski resort and will let you reserve it (if available) to keep your stuff their for free so you don't have to haul skis back and forth each day of your stay. Breakfast, given COVID constraints, was nice enough, but mostly grab-n-go bread products, with hard-boiled eggs and fruit with peels. They did offer one hot option (breakfast enchilada one morning and mixed burritos the next). Staff happily made more croissants by my kids' request when they ran out. Though the lodge community spaces were perfectly appointed, our two rooms were pretty disappointing - smaller and louder than expected, and at least one with sketchy climate control (we set the thermo to 72 but the room temp always hovered around 78). My husband commented that the mattress felt like it was stuffed with newspaper, but I thought it was pretty comfortable. BE ADVISED, they are not designed for moderate-to-light sleepers! Every creaky footstep from the room above was extraordinarily audible, as was every bit of bed-shaking and associated vocal emanation from surrounding rooms (I blush even now! XD). Such activities were a pre-dawn alarm clock each morning, along with the monstrous roar of the plumbing as morning (and midnight) showers began. All par for the course, I suppose, when you stay in a hundred-year-old lodge. My issue was that the Queen room did not match its description of a queen bed, seating area, and desk. It was a full bed, with a chair next to it and no desk. When I brought this to the attention of desk staff to ensure I wasn't being overcharged for the wrong room, I was told that they had no idea why the room would've been described that way, as they had no rooms with desks... Plus, they could see the room I booked on Booking.com was the very room I stayed in. Um... huh? I didn't raise a fuss or demand a discount because they were such nice folks, and businesses are having a hard time of it these days. But they didn't offer one either, which was pretty lame. Crested Butte lodging is extremely pricey, and this was a more affordable option, so I don't begrudge the place for any less-than-luxurious accommodations. I would've given four stars but for the bait-n-switch and lack of conciliatory response.
