Summer salad with added grilled salmon

Rustic spot that exudes "Adirondack". Wonderful lake view, large menu, friendly service, woodsy and wonderful. Beautiful plates and good value. A great spot to stop for a little lunch while passing through.

Small business with good service and good food. Generally go there at least once for dinner while camping in Speculator.

Fantastic food! The chef came out and talked to us after we were finished. Recommend the Salmon, the flat iron steak, and the shrimp scampi.

When you enter, the bar is on the left, the dining room on the right, so it's nicely separated if you want a meal without the bar atmosphere.

Our Logan's experience started off on the wrong foot, but we left full and happy, which is all you…read morecan really ask from a restaurant. It must've been obvious we aren't from around here, because some dude literally stared me down the entire walk from the front door to my seat. I can only assume he's never seen anyone this handsome before, but still, it felt a little rude. They ran out of kid menus, but this wasn't our first rodeo so we had our own markers and coloring books to keep our kids occupied. Our waiter was also an actual child (at least he looked it from where this old man was sitting), and was not exactly on top of things. He brought me a pretty weak Guinness pour (not his fault actually), and then forgot to take our order for a while. It gave us the chance to look around. The walls are covered in kitsch, in a good way. Lots of character, and it's warm and welcoming. There's an old lobster trap hung by the door, and it turns out Thursday is lobster night. We didn't reserve our table or our crustaceans (you should do both), but plenty of people around us were getting down with a pretty serious meal that included corn and potatoes and more. We opted for some chicken fingers for the kids, and the Chicken Riggies (mezze rigatoni in a spicy pink sauce, with chunks of chicken and mushrooms and more) and The Logan (marinated flank steak served atop garlic toast). I often roll with dishes named after the restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised that they cooked the steak BEAUTIFULLY. Tender, well-seasoned, and actually medium rare. The Chicken Riggies was a giant calorie bomb in the best way. Super flavorful, huge, and just a crowd pleaser. The combination was a much better meal than I was expecting after the slow start, and it's going to bring us back. Logan's seems like a local family joint. The service is hit or miss, but the atmosphere is fun, and the food is fresh, delicious, and affordable. That makes it a winner in my book. They prefer cash, but who doesn't?

Amazing; so grateful for his service!! there's a bar area, a dining area and outdoor dining available with a TV in the bar pool table, video games, and darts. If I ever find myself again in Speculator, New York; I will return.

They were fairly busy, only a couple open tables. We grabbed one and our server brought over a couple menus. Hubby ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a hard roll. Both were very fresh. The bacon was cooked to perfection. I especially loved the melty white American cheese. I grabbed a blueberry muffin to go. We enjoyed it as a snack later that day. It was moist and delicious! Quick and delicious breakfast sandwiches, friendly service, affordable prices - what more do you need? Give them a try today!

The fare is pretty standard but it is unusually well-prepared for a short order place, and the staff could not be friendlier, even under an incredible crush of customers. The place does have outdoor picnic tables - the inside is a little dim due to lack of windows, if whimsical in the decor, which is mostly jokey signs of the 'unattended children will be given espresso and a free puppy' - well, kitten - variety. Just be forewarned the place does get super busy during the summer season, but it is still there in the other three seasons, unlike a number of other places, particularly in sparsely-inhabited Hamilton County. The place is much improved since our last visit, and one suspects there's been a change of management, so nota bene concerning earlier reviews.
