Definitely worth stopping for food on the go. We arrived a little before 8pm. It's a market that is part of a gas station. They have a steady stream of customers coming from the deli section. They have a large selection of deli food. No pizza left and probably a good thing as they are kept in a glass case on the counter. We were curious about the soup and chili but were too tired to inquire. We opted for 2 subs, a hamburger and grilled chicken sandwich. We were lucky as they closed the grill after us. The subs were fresh and generously portioned. We thought $12.99 each was a bit pricey until we got the subs - they're like 2 large sandwiches. The hamburger was made exactly as we asked - plain. The grilled chicken was prepared well. Don't get me wrong - this isn't gourmet food but it's solid deli food. The staff was very nice and we were happy to find a good place to eat. read more

Bathroom was disgusting. Don't know how it could it be so bad. There was water everywhere. Toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers were all empty so the loose rolls of toilet paper and paper towels were all soggy. You'd think this cute, quaint mountain store would be an enjoyable stop but it was far from it. When ordering a sub, I felt like I was inconveniencing the two young boys working. On a very recent visit I experienced a slight glitch. There were training a new deli employee, he was very polite and disorganized. After asking which cheese and our reply of provolone both our subs had no cheese. We both also asked for oil and vinaigrette dressing and found mayonnaise. We were a few miles away and knew he was new and being trained, slight glitch and check your order before venturing too far from the store. Salads and sandwiches were surprisingly fresh and good for a restaurant inside a gas station market. There is a small seating area inside near a bulletin board of moose sightings. Everything looked clean. No toilets for customers but they had portapotties outside. -1 star because one person working there wore his mask on his chin, even though there was a sign on the door requiring all customers to wear masks. I doubt they'd enforce it with customers who don't. The rest of the staff wore their masks properly. read more

Mountain Market is located inside the Robin gas station, just south of the 4 Corners on Route 30. If you're headed north on 30, this is your last chance to get some decent deli take-out for a very long time. (I've tried but failed to find anything in Indian Lake, the next town north.) Pizza is fresh-made on the premises, and they will fix you a deli sandwich with so much meat you might want to offload some of it to another sandwich like I do. There are a few tables if you care to sit down and share coffee with the locals. read more

No access to indoor restrooms. I'm guessing they don't want to keep a restroom ultra clean in the age of Covid. The shop is decent, and requires masks to enter. Just be warned the only bathroom is outside porta-potties - which might not be a big deal - if it weren't ADK winter weather. Tip - turn your car seat heater on before you use the porta-potty so that your butt will defrost before frostbite of the buns sets in. You're welcome. read more

The food is top notch! Better than most of the restaurants around. I would have given them five stars until today...we hung around and ate slowly because my friend's power was out, and Nancy was rude, and started grabbing my stuff, and saying that I couldn't talk on the phone in the store because other people were eating. The noise in there was deafening, I put my daughter's emergency call on speaker so that I could hear...Nancy could have just said that our time was up, time to move on...a dozen other ways she could have handled me better. We left embarrassed and hurt...including the daughter who heard her remarks and immediately hung up the phone. My assessment, given the fact that other guests around us were there just as long, and were also on their phones, was that Nancy was uncomfortable with my friend's son Ben, who has Down Syndrome. Ben also was embarrassed, and tipped his chair over as he got up in a hurry to leave. When we got outside, he remarked to his mother that he was a bad person. read more

Mountain Market has the absolute best chef salads on the planet! Make sure you hold the container with both hands because it is substantial! I have never had anything wilted or wrong with my salad there. I also love the Snowy Mountain sandwich. The meats are fresh and great quality. The staff always seems happy and friendly and the owners are great. Reasonable prices and great food. Oh yeah, the pizza is awesome too! Excellent pizza. Made to order. Small convenience store as well. Great to find on a Monday night in the boonies.

We paid $50 in gas and wanted to use a bathroom. Of course their restroom was "out of service" but they did have a portapotty out back. Inside, was the most rancid, unkept portapotty with half a roll of toilet paper sitting in a dirty pile on the floor. They're not even doing the bare minimum for a paying customer. read more

The big thing to know here is that it is one of the last bathrooms for a VERY long stretch of road in the Adirondacks. The food was meh and overpriced. read more

Had the pizza here last summer as an end-of-camp-season dinner and really enjoyed it. For speculator your pizza options are either pizza from cotw's teepee or the gas station. Would recommend the gas station pizza! Which might seem surprising, but it was legit and the flavor was fairly decent. read more

Grade A service, grade A food, and grade A bathrooms. Perfect place to stop to grab some food and gas up the car/snow mobile during a long car trip.
