(My wife would've been fine with it, she knows how important sandwiches are to me.) If you don't know, the Boar's Head brand is just quality product for your cold cuts. Turkey, ham, salami, pepperoni...it's all good. And not only does Jason have the meats (just missing the cracked pepper turkey as far as I'm concerned), he's also got an actual Boar's Head on the wall. Because that's how it's done, people. I had despaired of getting any real deli up here, but Jason knows his biz. I asked if he could make an Italian combo, and he said he could make whatever I want. After seeing this beauty of a sandwich...thinly sliced meats piled high, properly garnished and assembled...I'm a believer. After tasting it, I think I'm gonna be a regular. I'm coming back soon to find out if he can make a real bacon egg and cheese, in which case I'm not sure if I ever need to go back to Brooklyn (although I really would like to someday). Oh, and it's not just a sandwich spot. They've got tons of quick items that'll keep you from having to run over to a larger store in Speculator or Northville: beer, soda, cheese, eggs, bacon, butter, chips, dips, ice cream, pickles, charcoal, all kinds of condiments...this convenience store is gonna be very convenient for me.

She mentioned that it's a new machine and someone might not have known how to use it. The refund was pending in my account for a day then, poof, pending refund disappeared. He's a tall, sandy blonde haired fella who is a blur of action, always making sure everything is presentable. I have never ever seen a Stewarts as clean and organized as this one, and it's ***always** like that. Whoever this guy is, he needs to train everyone in the company to do what he does, as he shows that excellence is possible. My local Stewart's is a mess...this one is amazing. And give him a raise! This is a VERY busy Stewarts and all the staff seem on their toes, doing a good job in the midst of chaotic customers. FIVE STARS!!

In addition to their ample beer selection, bottled drinks, basic foodstuffs, fishing and hunting supplies, and deli, they also have good hot foods, good enough for this gas station to be one of my father's favorite restaurants. Before you start picturing him leaning over the checkout eating a hot dog off the roller grill, I should mention that they have a side room with a few booths and tables and will bring your food out to you. And, in terms of food, they have quite a variety- the stuffed peppers and chicken wings are my personal favorites. Or, if you're there in the morning, either on your way to go hunt or or your way to work, definitely consider the breakfast combo. For under $5, you get a 16 oz coffee, hash brown, and wonderfully filling breakfast sandwich that comes with two sausage patties and two eggs. Whenever I get this, I'm filled until lunch. As I have noted, though, Fuel & Food is a popular destination for sportspeople and they have seasonal contests for the heaviest fish, nicest deer, and other "great hunts." While I certainly do appreciate the skill and reward of catching a really nice animal, I have to admit, I once accidentally chose to sit next to the "wall of fame" before eating and found that I had lost my appetite upon seeing a number of pictures of dead, bloodied animals. This particular location is a few streets away from Broadway in Saratoga, where you will also find yet another Stewart's. This store was clean and well lit. This is the perfect place to stop in when you forget to buy milk or eggs at the grocery store. Stewart's has their own brand of beer too, it's fairly inexpensive and not too bad. A lot of my friends and acquaintances in the area love the ice cream from here, I would give it about 8 out of 10. There are a TON of flavor options!! This is definitely an inexpensive place to pick up a tasty frozen treat for a price that won't break the bank. Good place to take kids and you can use your debit/credit card, some of the mom and pop ice cream stands require you to have cash. You can buy pre-packaged cartons of ice cream or get a cone/sundae. So if you are wandering Saratoga and looking for ice cream, I recommend giving this a try over Cold Stone. You will probably save a few bucks!
