    Chocolate Chip Cannoli
    Trina D.

My sister and my friend Cristen took me to the Alpine for dinner. Honestly some of the best food I've ever eaten. For real !!! I had calamari, which I was SURE I wasn't gonna like, The only thing wrong with it was that I wanted more!! I ordered the French Onion Soup, the Onion Soup bowl and Coconut Shrimp . I saved the sauce in a little container so I could dip my veggies into it!!! I've been wanting to try the Chocolate Chip Cannoli for YEARS, and they were absolutely amazing !!

My second time here. Absolutely love this place. Atmosphere is very nostalgic and the bar is great. Bartender was super cool. Food is amazing and the portions are huge. Service is incredible. Highly recommend.

The food is some of the best I have ever had! The NY strip and scallops are to die for! The service was fast and friendly. And the rustic feel of the place is true Adirondacks! I will most certainly be returning!

Smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Open Thursday through Sunday and Wednesday's in July and August. You will be pleasantly surprised on how well the food is cooked. Lots of good comfort foods, excellent seafood and Generous cuts steaks. This trip I started with a buffalo shrimp appetizer, salad with homemade horseradish dressing and a broiled seafood player that had large portions of fish, shrimp, scallops and clams. The rest of my table had a pork schnitzel and steaks. Give it a try

The Alpine is the best food in the Southern Adirondacks. It's locally owned and you can't go wrong with any item on the menu.

This is my new favorite place…read more If my wife is to be believed, I'm a bit of a food snob. Incredibly good-looking and flawless otherwise (that's her talking, not me), but she thinks I can be a little judgmental when it comes to food. And I suppose she's right about that (and how I'm essentially perfect otherwise). Let me be clear though: I don't need fancy fare, although I've eaten a lot of it. We just all have to eat every day, and I'd rather have tasty things to eat than the alternative. And if I'm being honest, my expectations were not super high for Timeless Tavern, not because of anything they've done, but because in my experience, restaurants can be hit or miss in Hamilton County. Timeless Tavern is a hit. This joint is everything I wanted. We spent the day tearing up floors, and we were tired and hungry and just looking for a good, hearty meal. That's what you can get here. A really good portion of delicious food, at a good price, from good people. Our server Becky was outstanding. She was welcoming and warm, and she led us to the right things on the menu: steaks. It seems like what they do best here, and we went for the garlic sirloin, the Delmonico, and for me, the chocolate, balsamic, and bleu cheese covered NY strip. Yeah, it sounds a little weird, but I felt like you don't put something like that on the menu unless you know it's good, and it was. The steaks were cooked properly, seasoned properly, and honestly a pretty massive portion as well. The menu said 16 oz, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more. I can't remember the last time I didn't finish a meal, but I took a little bit of it home for a snack later on. That's probably because they also come with soup and salad, which leads me to another reason Timeless Tavern is my new favorite place: The Chicken Riggy. It's a tomato-based, creamy, hearty chicken soup with rigatoni in there, and I was legitimately blown away by how tasty it was. As soon as I had a bite, I knew we'd be coming back here whenever we're in town. It was rich, and flavorful, and unexpected. Also, I absolutely love that almost all the salad dressings are homemade. Parmesan peppercorn? I'll always get that. I've written a lot here, but the moral of the story is that I love this place. The food is great, the people are great, and it seems like a fun and lively spot to just come for a drink if you aren't hungry. Best of all, the prices are super reasonable. Looking forward to when we're back in town, and I'm bringing the whole family.

I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. Love the seasonal menus and you really can't go wrong with anything here. We skipped out on dessert but I'm sure there's great options too. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

We arrived at opening on a Thursday evening and had the place to ourselves. The table we were sat at overlooking the gardens was gorgeous. The service was a little awkward as the server was training someone who was new, but they were very friendly and accommodating. We started with some bourbon cocktails that were just alright. I would say, they don't have the best cocktails. I ordered a gin dirty martini with stuffed olives and I think they just gave me straight gin in a glass with olives. Maybe stick to wine or beer! We were greeted with some nice fresh bread and we then ordered the very popular candied bacon. It was very thick, sweet and savory. Worth trying for sure, I enjoyed it. For dinner we opted for the 3 pound cowboy to share. I had asked what came with the steaks and they said smashed potatoes and green beans, and hyped up the smashed. When served, we got French fries, so this was just a miscommunication because I guess the special came with fries. I asked for a side of potatoes as well cause at this point I wanted to try them. The steak was gorgeous and perfectly cooked, and massive. We shared and had plenty of leftovers. Overall, I would suggest checking this place out. I think some miscommunication may have effected my experience, but the food and ambiance makes this a great destination for a romantic dinner.

We completely understand that weekends are busy, and we never expect to be seated immediately, but we had just come from an athletic event and our kids were starving. Since it was a busy weekend, we decided to wait rather than scramble to find another spot. The menu looked very appetizing and we ordered a breakfast plate for our son, tomato soup, lobster pizza, and a burger. The breakfast was solid, your classic bacon, eggs, and potatoes. The tomato soup looked beautiful but was a bit underseasoned, and we felt the same about the lobster pizza. Everything was presented really well, but the flavors just didn't quite match the visual appeal. Our server also seemed to be juggling quite a few tables, so refills were a little hard to come by, which we completely understand during a rush. That said, the ambiance is wonderful. It's lively, welcoming, and absolutely beautiful inside. We truly wanted the food to match the vibe and hope this was just an off day, because it's a great spot with a lot going for it.
