Also, compared to other venues, beers for ~$10 each seemed like a reasonable value. The venue itself isn't huge. We didn't realize seats weren't permanent. They're practically on top of each other, and there isn't much legroom. Luckily, we were on the aisle, so it wasn't that big of a deal, although having to leave the row so others could get in was a bit of a pain.

The staff at School of Rock have amazing abilities when it comes to the performances they are able to elicit from the kids. I imagine that trying to coordinate a group of 10-17 year olds into a cohesive band must be akin to herding cats, but School of Rock clearly has some good tricks up their sleeve. School of Rock has been the one positive, steady thing that has kept our son afloat during the pandemic. His experience there has greatly improved his self-confidence and we've seen a huge advancement of his abilities in less than a year. School of Rock is a wonderful community of musicians that really know how to support and encourage kids. They meet kids on their level and work with what they've got.

Even if you think Shakespeare is not your cuppa tea, this performance makes the Bard totally accessible and entertaining. This might be the only production I've seen of TW where Viola and Sebastian actually look enough alike to make the comedy of errors plausible. The student playing Sir Andrew Aguecheek was hilarious, and deserves special mention, but the entire cast was simply wonderful. It runs this weekend as well as next. A perfect Valentine's present for the hard-to-buy-for theatre-lover in your life.

I'm here pretty much every Wednesday night, when they host a circus jam from 8:30 until 11. For a five dollar donation, you have access to a beautiful, warm, and *huge* studio lined with mirrors to practice doing whatever makes you happy. There is always some nice music playing, and I've heard talk of getting a DJ for the summer months. An added bonus is all the awesome and friendly people you'll be sharing the space with. This is an amazing resource for people who don't want to give up their hooping/spinning for the winter because of the cold. Come have fun with us!
