My husband and I attended a fundraiser at The Ice House, and we had such a nice time with the great service, good food and drinks and ambiance that we'd happily return. We easily found street parking. When you enter there is a friendly hostess at the front who told us how to get back to the main stage. On entering you'll see a wall of comedians photos that is pretty impressive. We made our way down to the entrance to the Ice Box, a private room adjacent to the stage. We were served drinks in the Ice Box, which had plenty of comfortable seating, bottled water, and drink service. I had their watermelon cocktail here, which was $17, like all of their cocktails. It was delicious, made with fresh watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice and soda water, with a slice of fresh watermelon on top. It tasted really good, but I don't think it had much alcohol in it. Next we moved into the main stage area where we first sat in a 2seater with a small table in between the chairs in the pit, but decided to move back further to get a better view and not be right in the action. The hostess was kind enough to show us where the available seats were, and she let us choose which we wanted. We chose the last row of counter seats. I think it was row W seats 17 and 18 which were just perfect for us, as the counter had a place to put our food and drinks directly in front of us, and we could see the action, but not be in the action. The seats are very comfortable by the way. The first comedian was fantastic. I wish I caught her name. I think it was Jen. Another female comedian came on after Jen and she was fantastic as well. Then Jen came back for closing. The two comedians kept us laughing throughout with their clever jokes. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, the hamburger sliders, and fries. The bowl of sprouts was enormous, and delicious. Highly recommend. I would absolutely order them again, and there is plenty of them in one order - you could probably serve 4 people. Fries came out hot, crispy, salty and delicious. I did not try the sliders but my husband said they were good. I tried the "rising sun" drink. It was vodka, ale, lime, soda I believe and a salted rim. It was delicious. My husband had a grey goose martini which was perfect. Our server was fantastic. She helped me choose my drinks based on the fact that I didn't like anything sweet. She was very attentive and just lovely. There are plenty of restrooms. Bring a sweater as they keep the room pretty cool.
We went to the early show that started at 7pm on a Saturday night. The show was quick paced and most of the comedy was great! There was a two item minimum. Our first two drinks were delivered before the show started, but our last two drinks were delivered ten minutes right before the show ended. We didn't see our waitress at all during the show. Besides that all went well and we will definitely go again.
Overall, a bit hit or miss--but still a venue I'm glad Pasadena has. The Ice House Comedy Club consistently brings in some solid comedians and offers a good variety of shows, so it's definitely worth checking the lineup to find something that fits your taste. We went to see Jason Cheney, and unfortunately it seemed like an off night. At one point he even called the crowd "lukewarm," but honestly the bigger issue was that the material just wasn't landing. It happens--even good comedians have off sets--but it did take away from the experience. On the positive side, the logistics are easy. Parking is straightforward, and ticket prices are pretty reasonable compared to other comedy clubs in the area. Like most places, they enforce a two-item minimum, which is expected--but that's where things start to feel a bit overpriced for what you get. The food and drinks were underwhelming. Cocktails tasted watered down, and the food was pretty mediocre overall--not terrible, but definitely not something you'd come for on its own. It feels more like you're paying for the convenience of having service during the show rather than for quality. That said, there's still something enjoyable about the experience. The club has a nostalgic feel that reminds me of going to comedy shows years ago, and there's value in having a local spot where you can catch live stand-up without heading into LA. All in all, it's a very middle-of-the-road experience. If the lineup is strong, it's worth going. Just don't go in expecting great food or drinks--and hope the comedian is on their game that night.

Our seats were right smack in the middle. Great view, until a tall guy sat in front of me, There is a two item minimum. Which is sorta dumb, but service was excellent! Very well organized. Since soda did not count as an item and I don't drink, I'm glad that they had mocktails. I got the strawberry lemonade. Came in a tall skinny glass with lots of ice for $12. The garlic Parmesan fries and onion rings were ok. $10 each. All in all, I had a good time!
I always have a great time here! Every time I'm there I say "why don't I come more often?" I came to watch a student show and it was really fun. Note that you will have to pay for parking, the lot is across the street. You will also have (2) item minimum of food or drinks INSIDE the venue, stuff at the bar before the show does not count. They take your order up front before the show starts and sneak it to you quietly while the show is happening. Service is great. All the staff is friendly and good at their job. It's a good oiled machine. The cons for me are the food and drinks but I expect very little from food and drinks at a place where you HAVE TO buy stuff...just being real The mixed drinks come pre mixed so you can't change things. My drink was super watery, tastes like cool aid. I order fries and tacos The tacos were highly recommended by the server and I knew better....i should have just ordered the fries-that never came. The tacos weren't bad, they were just not good. They are ground meat topped with cotija cheese-they were very dry. But again, I didn't expect a lot so it doesn't make a difference on whether I'd come back or not.

They have a two item minimum that can be food or drinks. Soda and red bull do not count toward the minimum items. There is a parking structure across the street, or you can find street parking free after 6pm (I think). Had a great time and would be back to watch other comedians peform.
Parking is a hassle. $15 across the street and all around there is a fee for parking. Lucky if you find street parking. They do not take cash. Debit/Credit or Apple Pay accepted. Small venue. Very clean. There is a bar inside. There is a two item minimum. Evian water is $10 bucks. Soda and Red Bull do not count towards the two item minimum The pepperoni pizza is good. It's not too big. More like a self serving. Restrooms are clean and staff is nice. Only ick is the pay for parking and that they only accept cash. We only had cash on us on Sunday. Thankfully we had someone Apple Pay us lol. This is my two reasons for the 4 stars.

We had the drinks bc it was a two drink minimum per person, kinda pricey $17 for a mixed drink. Lots of clean bathrooms and overall clean venue.
Came here for a 49ers football watch party and had an amazing time. Food and drinks were on point all night and the customer service was top tier. Staff was attentive, friendly, and kept the energy up even during the game rush. The atmosphere was a whole vibe. Great crowd, great music, and the setup made it feel like a real event, not just a game on TVs. The location is perfect too, easy to get to and worth pulling up early to soak it all in. If you're looking for a fun place to watch a game, especially with fellow fans, this spot delivers. Definitely coming back for future watch parties.
It's SO unfair to ask guest to buy two of something they DON'T want!!! 2 drink minimum!!! I order a glass of wine(girl brought the wrong request) a peach cobbler TO GO, because I didn't want more alcohol or a $10.00 bottle of water. The peach cobble was a tiny scoop of peaches... NO CRUST!!!!!!!! Horrible experience.
Enjoyed everything at this venue! Even though I wasn't aware of the mandatory two item minimum in the showroom, I didn't have any problem with it because it's actually nice to enjoy the comedy with food and drinks. I just wish I had known beforehand, as I wouldn't have eaten earlier. For next time, I'll remember so I can actually get a real meal. Loved the venue. It was super clean, and all the staff were nice and efficient. I enjoyed the main comedy show so much and can't wait to come back. Came for the Jeffrey Keller show. Amazing, hilarious, and so much fun. What a night!

Such a fun experience, especially for my first time here. The comedians were hilarious and kept the energy up the whole night. I even ended up being a winner, which made it even better. Great atmosphere, good crowd, and overall just a really good time. read more

A friend of mine was performing at the Ice House Pasadena and I had to go! located off of the business district of Pasadena you cannot miss it with it's theatre matinee style lighting. The main lobby had a huge polar bear statue (the mascot) and a sense of humor is in the air. I waited until I got to the Ice House to purchase my ticket. Next time I'll order it in advance. The hostess behind the desk was friendly and after checking me in...brought over a guy to guide me to where my friend would be performing. The Ice House is very clean and there's other rooms where comedians were doing their sets. Once seated there were servers taking your food and drink orders. I bought some sliders and a Long Island Iced Tea. All the stand up comedians had something funny and/or relatable that made me and the many other audience members laugh. Cannot wait to go back again! read more

Recommend go early. Closest Parking is hard to come by and ADA spots are as well. So that was already a challenge for me to walk to the venue. I ended up in public parking in an alley and if I wasn't with a group of people I probably wouldn't have parked there alone. Just be aware if ADA is important to you or your party. The check-in process was sort of chaotic in a packed hallway. No real order to queue up to get to the rooms where you are going to see your show. The best feature I enjoyed was the patio area. There were Island artists playing local music. Fun environment and good energy. Once we were seated in the California room. Nice room, cute backdrop, lots of seating. We got our order taken. There was a two item minimum. I was with a party of four. I opted for a salad, mac n cheese and lemonade. Despite us ordering early before two parties next to is got served first. It took a while to get water and took even longer to get our food. I understand that things happen but it's hard when you are patient and then still kept waiting. Our server was nice. She was working very hard I could see that. We tipped her well for that reason. So we all ended up eating in the dark and it was pitch black. That was something I hadn't planned on but I tried to make do. I was struggling a bit and may have missed some of the jokes. The headliner Andy Bumatai and guest, Kamaka Brown were hilarious. I love their style of humor. Really happy I came out wit friends for this show. If they return to Icehouse I will definitely buy tickets. A nice place for date night, girls night or a group celebrating. read more
Great vibes, amazing customer service, and of course, a great show too. We went on a Thursday night for a comedy show and stopped by the bar for drinks. The staff were welcoming from the moment we walked in to the goodbyes after the show. The manager was checking in with guests and was super friendly. The food was good, but the drinks were even better. By the way, you must buy two items inside the show and bar purchases don't count . read more
We've been coming to the Ice House in Pasadena for over *gasp* 25 years now! I still remember the time we even saw Ken Jeong perform here. On our most recent visit, we caught Island Magic Mike from Hawaii--he was hilarious and spot-on with all the Hawaiian stories and jokes. It's great to see the space refreshed with upgraded chairs, tables, and even a new menu. I also love that the old two-drink minimum has been updated to a two-item minimum, so you can order food instead. I had a watermelon mocktail and a veggie quesadilla, which were perfect for a fun night out. Tickets are easy to buy online, and you can even pick your seats ahead of time. Tip: if you don't want to risk extra attention from the comedian, don't sit in the front row. The Ice House is always a solid choice for a date night. Good vibes, good laughs, and a guaranteed fun time. read more
Great place to see a comedy show in Pasadena. I have seen a number of shows here when I have been in town. The Ice House has been around for many years and has hosted a number of well-known comedians. They recently renovated during the time that they were closed during the pandemic. I have sat in a few different areas and have always had a good view of the stage. In addition to events, the Ice House has a comedy school. Shows are two drink minimum just like any other comedy club. Ice house is always a good time when I am visiting Pasadena. read more

There is a two item minimum at this place but they don't tell you that drinks under six dollars don't count, not on the menu, not on the show description when you buy tickets. So I couldn't get a Red Bull or a soda or anything without also buying a ton of food. Also, when I did ask for drink, I asked the waitress twice and she never brought it to us. read more

Recently visited The Ice House to watch a comedy show that a friend performed in! In the room we were in, you could easily see the stage from all the seats. Some tables/sears felt pretty close together though, and the tables are a bit small if you order food. For our show, each person had to order 2 items from the menu, so we got a mix of drinks and food. I wanted the BBQ short rib sliders, but they were out for the day. We ended up with wings, mac n cheese, and a salad. The food overall was okay. Nothing special, but not bad either. They have street parking or a lot across the street for $15. read more
I got a chance to check out The Ice House in Pasadena with some colleagues last month. My first time here. I didn't know what to expect because I normally don't go to comedy clubs. I found out some shows are free with a minimum of two drinks purchase and other shows require tickets to be purchased. The front lobby has some fun customes and a spinning thing that you may stand on. It also has the huge white bear statue... nice photo op! As you walk in, there are framed photos of comedians who have performed at this comedy house. I recognized a handful of them... sweet! They have a bar with inside seating and also outside patio seating. The bartenders were friendly and very quick in making the drinks. I loved the spicy mango virgin margarita! It was so good... spicy and sweet at the same time! I may have to come back just to buy the drink times 2 LOL. They have a food menu with appetizers and snacks. There are two stage rooms. I only went into one of them. I don't remember which one, but I'm sure I took a photo of it. We had 3 comedians for the show. I really like the 3rd one. The first one was decent. However, the second one struggled a bit. Sorry, I don't remember their names. I got some good laughs. What I learned is that the comedians must leverage the audience's positive energy to really do well on stage. Otherwise, it may be tough and lack substance. I applaud all the comedians for trying because our crowd was small. There wasn't a lot of energy in the room at the time. Again, I may come back for my spicy mango virgin margarita and perhaps get some laughs while I'm taking down the drinks. Since the 1960s, the Ice House has been providing entertainment with famous headliner Comedians and also has a comedy school for new and upcoming talent. I was so fortunate to attend a live taping of the Mas Locos Comedy TV Show. What a night, the MC was Jeff Garcia. We saw Abraham Boche, Ernesto Ortiz, Jose Velasquez, and Sebastian Cetina perform and showcase their talents. If do not recognize these names, it's alright, by this time next year you will know them. In Spring 2025 Mas Locos will release a new season. Our usher was Andrew, he was able to get our group of 8 seated in the same section. Even though a couple were late, they were able to join us. Buy tickets on their website, subscribe to receive updates and discounts to special shows. A two "item" purchase per person is required. Your two "items" does not have to be an alcoholic beverage. Choose specialty cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks or food (pizza, sliders, tacos, chicken wings, garlic fries, etc.). Check the website, make plans for fun night with family and friends. It had been a minute since coming out to the Ice House and back then it was still a bit dated. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to see the major facelift it underwent. To start there is a main entrance that features a giant polar bear (homage to the "Ice House) adorning the entryway. On either side are customer service counters. The walkway / hallway that leads you to the "old" part of the building is adorned with headshots of current and past, famous comedians which lands you in the cozy bar area. Back in the day this was the original waiting area and it didn't afford much space. Now, this leads to an open patio with seating and a two-sided bar that allows you to order from inside or outside, dramatically minimizing crowds. The patio added such a nice ambiance as the company did a great job of streamlining the decor with already existing brick and mortar. Nice! The show we saw was great. We were seated in one of the smaller - but newer rooms. It was an intimate setting -- there were no bad seats in the house! With all the new upgrades I would definitely come back - it was such a great experience overall. read more

My first time at The Ice House after all these years!! I had soo much fun!!! Came for a comedy show and the food was bomb !! I ordered the crispy honey chicken sliders and chicken wings !!! That was the Bomb!!!! Order that when u come you will have no regrets!! The service was really good and our server was very attentive!! The Ambiance was perfect and modern! Great seats as well! Only issue was that the seats were very close together and tables are very small! However, it is very cute inside with nice decor and very clean! Love the seating and table situation. It makes sense! We didn't try their food but I got two of their frozen alcoholic beverages, perfect to cool me down from that hot night. It is a two items minimum per person. We weren't sure until they told us when the show was almost done and then we had to order. Don't forget to close out, they will charge extra 20%. read more
I use to go here every week when I was young. This was my first time going back to see a comedy show after so many years. I went to see Finesse Mitchell and Tisha Campbell and they were hilarious. I had so much fun. The comedy club was upgraded with trendy furniture and light fixtures. Very cozy ambiance. All the staff was nice and made great recommendations. The tickets were very reasonable I only paid 54.00 for two tickets. They have a nice decent menu for food and drinks and have happy hour prices before the show depending on the comedian show. Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and Michael Yo had the house laughing so loudly! The lineup was also pretty good too. I thought it was so cool that all comedians were free to take a photo with audience members. There's a 2 item minimum and I ordered the Brussels sprouts (don't bother) and the short ribs sliders were excellent- but hold the bbq sauce and have it on the side so it won't be too saucy. The watermelon highball was weak. The Japanese sour was good if you like sour. Fries were super thin. The salad was lackluster. The house was sold out so get tickets in advance! Is there free parking or inexpensive parking nearby on the weekends?
Street parking is not hard to find north of Colorado on side streets. There are pay lots on Colorado
Are all seats bar stools or are they fairly comfortable chairs too?
There are tables with decently comfortable chairs in addition to the bar stools right up at the bar. We sat at a four-person table that I think was in a booth. Don't remember it being uncomfortable or anything like that

Do they release tickets for sold out events at the last minute if there are some no-shows?
We always take a walk up wait list in the event that anything opens up.
How's the food here?
I enjoy their food and drinks. I have not been disappointed yet with any of my selections. My husband has been happy too
How large is this venue? How many people does it hold for a comedy show?
I've been told the main room seats 200, which sounds about right. The second stage is much smaller, probably half that, if not less. They're both small, intimate rooms. Perfect for comedy.
What is the age minimum?
I believe 18 for the early shows and 21 for the late shows.
