We live up the street in Oakdale and are so excited for an ice cream shop close to home! It's super cute with a nice little eat-in area with 5 or 6 tables. They have all of your favorite ice cream treats with a variety of Hershey brand ice cream. Also in the back they have a private little patio with picnic tables for seating. We will be visiting often! We got the milkshakes and they were delicious!

Absolutely blown away by this place! I'm visiting from out of state, stumbled upon this gem, and WOW--what a find! I had the "Roadrunner Raspberry" ice cream, and it's honestly some of the best I've ever had. The flavors were so rich and fresh, I could hardly believe it. The staff was super friendly and incredibly efficient--plus, the whole place was spotless. You can tell they really care about their product and their customers. If you're anywhere near here, **run**, don't walk, to this spot! You will NOT be disappointed. I'll be dreaming of that ice cream until my next visit!

A super adorable, family-owned creamery shop right in Oakdale.  The Ice Creamery is located on Seminary Avenue.  They have a nice little eat-in area and a private patio with picnic tables!  Their staff is happy to provide you with samples and suggestions if you just can't decide on a flavor.  The space is very cutely decorated and very clean.

While in the area and looking for a place to get ice cream, I discovered this place online. I had…read morenever been before, and never heard of it as I am not from this side of Pittsburgh! My visit was on a Saturday night in May around 9:30 PM. It was not crowded at all, as we were one of a few groups there at the time. Plenty of seating options both inside and out, and we had no issue finding seating that worked for us. There was no line to order, so after taking a minute or two to look over the menu, I went to put in the order. The girls working the counter were very personable and helpful. They let me sample a few of the flavors, and were engaging in conversation with all of the customers when waiting on them. The shop had a bigger menu with some food items like pizza, appetizers, salads, and more, but we did not try any on this trip. It would be a one-stop shop for dinner and dessert to come here and eat from both the food menu and then the ice cream menu. We ordered two of the Specialty Sundaes - the Chocolate Chip Cookie and the Greek Style. Both are served with vanilla soft serve. I believe you can switch that out for a different flavor or type, but we stuck with the vanilla. The sundaes were not bad, but they were very average. The price of these were both $7.99 each before tax, and I would have thought they would be a little bigger. On the Greek Style, the baklava was in pieces crumbled over the top as opposed to a larger, singular piece. The cookie on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae was not an oversized one that usually comes on sundaes like that at other shops. I am not sure what kind it was, but it appeared to be something mass produced, almost like a Chips Ahoy. Again, they were not bad, but for the price and the fact that they were on the Specialty Sundae menu, I would have expected more than what we got. I thought the prices here were high for the quality and quantity of the items. I am not sure if the value was there for the prices, but I would have to determine that after visiting another time or two to see if it was a one-off or if that is how it is for everything. I enjoyed getting to try this place. It has a good atmosphere, and is probably a lively place in the summertime and when the weather is nice. I would be interested to try more of the menu on a return trip. I am not sure if I would recommend the Speciality Sundaes, but the hard ice creams that I sampled were good and worth getting if you are stopping here!

Antney's is less than 10 minutes away from my apartment, and yet I almost never get ice cream here…read more Why? Because they're popular - TOO popular. And to be fair, they deserve to be popular. Still, waiting in a long line outside in the summer heat...it's no fun. BUT if I'm driving by and the line is short for a change, I'll take a detour and get myself a sweet treat. So, why's Antney's so popular? Because we all love a family-run ice cream shop. They serve homemade cones and a nice mix of (also homemade) ice cream scoops, milkshakes, sundaes, and even frozen yogurts and sorbets. Parts of the menu rotate regularly too (specifically, I've read that some flavors change daily). So while you can always expect to find the classics here, you never know what else awaits you. Case in point: I stopped by last week and to my delight, Nutella Cookie ice cream was on the menu! I ordered a milkshake version and let me tell you, it was the best milkshake I've had in quite a while. Absolutely delicious flavor, and full of cookie pieces to boot - it hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon. It's probably for the best that I don't want to regularly wait in a long line in a hot parking lot to get ice cream from Antney's. Well, it's good for my wallet and waistline at least - it's disappointing for my tastebuds. Hopefully though, I'll get lucky again before they close for the winter, and will once again drive by while the line is on the shorter side!

I first learned of Antney's a few years ago, and have visited a couple of times since then. It is a…read moresmall, seasonal, local ice cream shop located near Green Tree. It is in a standalone building, but within a complex so there is a decent amount of parking. It is a true ice cream stand, with no indoor area and ordering at the windows. Very much appreciate that their ice cream is homemade. It seems like they rotate flavors daily, and are constantly coming up with new and unique combinations. Several times I have gone and they are switching flavors mid-day, so there is really always something new and different to try all the time. My most recent visit was on a very busy Sunday, and it took about an hour to be waited on from start to finish. The girl who waited on me was nice, let me sample some flavors, and gave recommendations when I asked for them. On this particular visit, I got a Golden Oreo Cookies and Cream Milkshake. Additionally, I ordered a two scoop dish with Citrus Rosemary and Peanut Butter & Cookie Dough. Additionally, ordered a Strawberry Pretzel Cheesecake Milkshake and a Pup Cup to-go. The items I personally had were good, and I liked trying the unique flavor of the Citrus Rosemary, though I did not get a lot of rosemary flavor in the scoop. My total for all this was around $26. Just a note, milkshakes cost more if they are a flavor that is not Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, or Strawberry. I previously worked in management of a homemade ice cream shop, and given my industry knowledge I do believe the prices here are high. Other points of critique I have for this place include the lack of seating (no outdoor seating at all), and speed of service. My primary critique, however, is that their hours are so limited. I likely would visit here on a more regular basis if they were open for longer than four hours a day (this includes weekends!). I also wonder if the pricing could lower if they were open longer, and therefore able to move more product. There probably is reasoning, but I am curious why college-aged workers could not staff the store during the afternoon in the summer months, and especially on the weekends. I would recommend giving this place a try - there is not a ton of ice cream shops in this area specifically, and it is locally owned. The ice cream is made fresh, and the variety and uniqueness of the flavors is noteworthy. Just make note of my points above, especially the hours.

I don't know why, but I have always loved ice cream in the winter, but not the summer because Dairy and hot weather, for me, just don't mix well. This Illy Philly was in Robinson and saw Remember When Ice Cream and a little happiness started glowing inside me. I walked in to a well lit, and very large and open seating area. There were cute Ice Cream Cone measuring signs around the store, and it was really bright. I was greeted with a smile and a hello, and that made me smile a little more. I asked if they had vegan ice cream and lo and behold they did!!!!! It was Oatmilk vanilla and they also have Dole Whip!!! They told me the Whip always changes and this week it was Watermelon. Yummmm!!!! I ordered the Vegan Oatmilk Vanilla and the Watermelon Dole Whip, which she also let me taste first and both were absolutely delicous. I also ordered some regular Butter Pecan for my friend and it was really good. Creamy, buttery, and delicous. I Remember When Ice Cream tasted this good and obviously they do, too. If you're in Robinson go check them out. They're right across from Ikea and they're open till 9:30!!! Bring the kiddos, too and you all can get measured for the accurate size cone or order their 'Giant Cone' and enjoy!!!!
