The company I'm a beauty ambassador for had a pop up event in Charlotte and I came from NYCcto bring my mother, sister and oldest niece since they're all natural redheads and the company is focused on creating products and space for redheads where that's not really been a thing. When I found out the event was here, I was hoping I'd see one of the owners at some point but I didn't. The space itself is quite nice and definitely had that feeling of being at a NYC event. I'm not sure if there's air conditioning here or not but if you have a large crowd you may want to consider having a fan or cooling for guests. My sister had to leave earlier since she has some health issues and it got a little cramped for her. However, I opted to stay and have my family pick me up later. I got the opportunity to go to the retail space that's also part of the complex and chatted with a very nice woman named Sydney about the event, the company and my connection to the owners. Since I don't live here I'm not in a good position to return but if you live in Charlotte, you should check them out and know that they also respect natural redheads.

This was my first visit ever to the Coach House Venue. My review is on the venue only and not the…read moreevent I attended there. I am sure the venue played a huge part in making the wedding I attended there as magical as it was. The location- The venue was built on acreage in the middle of no where. That is not bad thing. It is convenient to get and not far off the beaten path but the land it sits on it unspoiled by development . This setting would be impossible to duplicate in an urban area surrounded by buildings and visual city noise. The grounds- they provide a copious amount of parking at the top of the campus. We had parking attendants guiding us to or place to park. From the parking area we immediately got a panoramic view of the vast space in its unobstructed entirety. As we walked past the inside indoor building we signed a guest book and proceeded to "The Garden" for the ceremony. The grass around the inside areas and under the tents was dark green pure fescue. The grass and the landscaping was perfectly manicured. The grass in the garden area was neatly mowed all the way to the pond on the far end of the property. The combination of hills, trees, and evening sky created a backdrop impossible to recreate by man. They had a fire pit burning beside the cocktail area that was tastefully done and surrounded by white wooden adirondack chairs. There wasn't a single area on the grounds that needed attention. The inside space- the large inside venue space provides a versatile area for your event. The inside offers over 3000 square feet of space. The wedding I attended used this area for the reception. It had retractable doors on the side that opened up to a huge tent area. There was the buffet area and dining tables. The main inside space also hosted the DJ and the dance floor. The inside area has a caterer's area. They have bride's suite upstairs and a groom's area that are apart from each other. The lighting, setup, decor, colors, and everything about the inside area is opulent. The bar- they have created a bar area with a large deck area. The bartender area is covered and well lit. The rest of the deck area is open and doesn't obstruct the view. The wedding setup- we walked to "The Garden" area where we saw a wedding arch embellished with beautiful flowers and white fabric. A grassy aisle divided 200 white folding chairs arranged in rows. The landscape was gradually going downhill and ending at a large pond at the base of the woods. Before we entered the seating area we passes the stringed musicians playing the preservice music. They continued to play until us guests made our way to our table assignment. During the cocktail hour the wedding pictures were made. The sun was setting in the background creating a picturesque moment. The venue has also created several photo-perfect areas for wedding photographers. We stayed till the very end. The rural darkness created a great sendoff as the newlyweds left us as we lined up and lit sparklers. Click on the photos and expand them for a truer picture.

It was the first venue that they looked at, and no other one could compare. The arbor by the pond was a beautiful setting for their ceremony and the reception hall is perfect for a mid size wedding. Rita will take the time to answer every question and see to it that every small detail on the wedding day is perfect. Many of our guests commented on what a beautiful place this was for a wedding.... It's true!

Because I went on a weekend parking was easy, I just parked on the street. I decided to order something off of the summer menu and I got the tropical matcha splash. I thought it was delicious and the matcha had a good flavor. The person who waited on me wasn't rude, but she also wasn't super friendly. But it was early so maybe she just wasn't having a great day. But like I said, I liked the matcha, so I would return and try other drinks. This also seems like it would be a good spot to do some coworking.

I only ordered a bagel and really enjoyed it. Customer service was friendly and welcoming. I do plan to come back to try their coffee soon, but I had a great visit overall. They also had caesar salads plated at the end. There was a delicious charcuterie spread on a separate table as well as a scrumptious dessert table. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive, clearing empty plates prompty and checking in on drinks/refills. We had a microphone set up too to announce awards and everything flowed smoothly, all were in a good mood. This event was a hit. Throughout the wedding, there was a woman repeatedly walking back and forth throughout the venue. She walked in and out of rooms, walked around during speeches across the floor, and was constantly present in areas where guests and members of the bridal party were getting ready. Several of us noticed her and felt as though we were being watched. We eventually learned that she was a worker for the venue and was not someone the couple had hired to assist with their wedding. So everyone was confused !! What was especially concerning was the extent to which she appeared to involve herself in the wedding. She was observed looking through windows and doors while members of the bridal party were changing, handling personal belongings, looking inside food pans, pouring out the couple's beverages, and moving items and table setups without permission. At one point, she was seen looking into the bridal suite, which understandably caused everyone to become very uncomfortable and concerned about the couple's privacy because no one knew how long she was standing there watching. Guests should be able to attend a wedding without feeling like they are being monitored or having their personal belongings and arrangements handled by venue staff without permission. The situation became so uncomfortable that guests were whispering among themselves and trying to understand what was happening. Eventually, some people began leaving because the atmosphere had become awkward and uncomfortable. What should have been a beautiful and memorable celebration for the couple instead became a stressful experience. I understand that venues have rules and employees have responsibilities, but there is a difference between appropriately managing a venue and repeatedly interfering with a private wedding. The couple deserved to enjoy their special day without this level of disruption. Based on my experience as a guest, I would not recommend this venue.

Incredibly disappointed with my experience trying to plan a wedding here…read more They recently changed their policy to allow only one exclusive caterer unless you are willing to pay the exorbitant $500 outsourcing fee. I was a bit apprehensive about this to begin with, but I was reassured that this caterer (Bouk) was the best, both in terms of food and customer service. I wish I could say the food was good, but in two months I was never even able to schedule a tasting with them. The communication was poor and it seemed like the only time I heard from the caterer with any concrete information was after I brought my complaints to the citizen's center. I put my complaints in writing and forwarded them to the center and when I asked if we could rearrange the reservation so that we could still have our ceremony in the garden and have our reception elsewhere (so that I didn't have to cancel the whole thing), I was basically gently encouraged to cancel and "move forward with a different option." Essentially I was being told that everyone (including the supervisor) thought it would be best for me not to have any part of my wedding at the Mack Center. I couldn't believe how unwelcoming that felt. It appears that the caterer's busy schedule took precendnt over a satisfied customer...a bride-to-be no less. Although they basically gave me no options on how to resolve the situation outside of cancelling, they still processed the cancellation with the 50% rent fee. Although I realize this is the contact I signed and their standard policy, they didn't even apologize. No effort made to help. Honestly, I'm sure the Mack Center would have been a great venue. The staff was great...at the beginning. But since they have changed their policy it seems like they may be willing to jeopardize their reputation with customers to preserve their new relationship with Bouk catering. There are a lot of other wonderful venues in the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas that are affordable and give you options for catering...that way, if you don't have a good experience with one, you are not blacklisted from the venue all together.

In addition to their wine and coffee list they offer a variety of beers, seltzers, and ciders, so you are sure to find something delicious to sip on while relaxing outside. The ground is home to a variety of tables nestled amongst the greenery, and they also have some tables inside as well as a small art gallery to peruse. As a side note for anyone looking for a lovely wedding venue, I had a friend get married here at the garden and it turned out amazing. The life guards are friendly and we were able to try all the jumps around the area. 30$ per person, including the 5$ reservation fee. It's cash only once you're there, so plan ahead. When we arrived, we also got a 5$ coupon for the restaurant so technically it's like 25$ a person if you end up buying food. The food was reasonably priced and was good quality. They have beer on tap too that was 6$ for about a 12oz. Lots of areas to jump off and space to swim around without it being too crowded. You'll have to do a swim test which is really easy. You jump in, swim to the platform, tread water for 1min, and then swim to the exit ladder.
